The twins' house, actually their parents' house, sits on the corner of Chipper Ridge near Stodgy Farms, a rather short bike ride away. Madison and Brody's uncle, land developer Nathaniel Milford, provided every member of the Milford clan with an overpaid job and a suburban palace at cost. He unfortunately did not supply them with a work ethic or the value of a hard-earned dollar. Madison and Brody, the shiniest apples of the next-generation Milfords, fell at the very base of the tree, and once their parents took a not-so-well-deserved trip to the Bahamas, Madison planned a day-long end-of-school bash to be the highlight of most kids' four years at Chipper Ridge High School. Brody went along with it, as he rarely disagrees with his sister. The snow threatened to curtail the party, but Madison's reputation motivated her to turn the event into the first-ever POOL PARTY SNOW-A-PALOOZA.
