The Plates Mountains

~~~(POV: Lyatt Scott)~~~
The Crystalline Caves of Domeir, one of the most beautiful and dangerous dungeons in the eastern area of the Termal Empire. The 2-day trip here was interesting. I fought some monsters on the way here and got 30 EXP towards my player level and 30 EXP for all my skills, except for crafting skills. I also saved a merchant. He rewarded me with 25 gold, and I'm not one to turn down a reward.
The Plates Mountains are a huge mountain range explored by Micheal Plates in the year 636. The path I've taken to get here is empty. I didn't pass any towns or dungeons. I don't remember the exact size of The Plates Mountains, but it spans about 400 miles and stretches into the Kingdom of Leshire, an independent Land with 2 large Duchies and a King.
There are several Kingdoms and Independent lands around Libertas. The Termal Empire is one of 5 vast Empires, but that doesn't mean other forms of government and locations exist. Enough chatter about geography and history. I have a come caves to locate. The map Tesha gave me is going to come in handy right now.
The map materializes in my hands, and I open it to see where I need to go. I'm at the base of the snow-capped mountains starting path. The map shows multiple routes that lead to different things, but a highlighted path shows up on the map, and it's the one heading the deepest into the mountains. Might as well get a move on.
I won't be able to survive very long in the cold weather, probably around an hour at the most. If I take longer than that, I'll freeze to death from environmental exposure. I start walking the path and following the markers the map describes. It's going to take me around 45 minutes to get to my destination. Leaving me 15 minutes of wiggle room.
The caves themselves won't be cold, heated by magical crystals. They're worth a lot of money if you can mine them, but the tools needed for mining the crystals in The Crystalline Caves of Domeir require you to be level 35 and have a level 4 mining skill. I'm not going to waste time on that. I'm not wasting this second chance mining.
The Crystalline Caves of Domeir have an amazing history themselves. The information I have on them is rich, and not known by anyone else other than me. The original explorer who explored the Plates Mountains, Micheal Plates, didn't discover the cave or explore it. Knights discovered the cave itself in the year 788 in search of shelter and warmth.
A storm started to ravage the mountain the day the knights decided to pass. In desperation for their lives, they search an area of the mountains that Micheal Plates didn't explore that much. They found The Crystalline Caves of Domeir. Domeir was the group's wizard, and they entered, discovering it was actually a dungeon. They all died except for Domeir.
Domeir reported that powerful monsters resided in the cave, and the cave adjusts its difficulty to the strength of the people going into it. If you're strong, the dungeon will be stronger. It has a variety of enemies. The Crystalline Caves of Domeir haven't been completely explored, and some parts of it are unmapped.
It's said that around 30% of it is explored and mapped out. The other 70% is still unknown. This is just an estimation. It could be more or less than these numbers. The cave system might even stretch the entire Plate Moutain range for all I know. White Tears is why I'm going there. It's a special flower that gives off an Epic Grade alchemist material.
The flower uses the energy from the crystals to sustain itself. It's completely unreliant on sunlight and is totally white. When harvesting the ingredient, it looks like the flower is crying. Hence the name White Tears. Once this quest is over, I hope that she'll give me the quest to unlock alchemy. That's the whole reason I'm doing this.
