Wolves

The wolves moved and charged at both of them. Katheryn wasn't one to back down from a fight. She had fought for years and had much experience with these beasts. She could deal with them; it was just a matter of how long she would take. Nevertheless, she was a little worried. If she had been alone, she would have gone on a rampage with those wolves here.

Her utilization of magical energy was at the level of an archmage. She was fighting from a very young age and was at the level where a pair of wolves couldn't threaten her.

These tribal people use the magical energy in their bodies to induce it in their hands and legs, which gives them supernatural strength.

She moved so fast that Aragon could see her blurry images wherever she went. She plunged her short blade into one of the wolves and kicked to one side.

It squealed in pain and was propelled into a tree.

The wolves were stopped in their tracks and stared at her. These wolves possessed intelligence and could tell that she was powerful. They could sense that attacking the woman would be dangerous. They stared at Katheryn and howled together.

Then all of them attacked with their sharp claws, aiming to tear her apart. If it were anyone else, they would have run away just by seeing the pack running toward them, but Katheryn was grinning from ear to ear, like a crazy freak.

Aragon was astonished and taken aback by his aunt's prowess in hunting. When she said she was hunting since she was the same age as him, he could see it now.

But he quickly recovered from the shock caused by the wolves' howls. He ran as fast as he could and unsheathed his sword. He swiftly moved his sword and blocked one of the wolves. The grey wolf caught the blade with its teeth, and the wolf pressed onto Aragon with force.

Aragon kicked the wolf in the abdomen, and it was pushed back.

The other three wolves surrounded the two of them, glaring at them, while they moved in a circle.

Katheryn moved again, and this time she targeted the two other wolves who were following the grey one.

Aragon also quickly responded and ran at the grey wolf.

The grey wolf and another one charged at Aragon. The two wolves lunged at Aragon with their claws raised. And the speed of these wolves was not less than that of Aragon. He hastily channeled his mana in his body, moved to the side, and swung his sword at the wolves, which were now side by side. It passed through the grey wolf, and a single line of light slash passed through the other. In the next second, the heads of two wolves were sent flying.

Aragon gasped, and then he stopped in his tracks.

It was just a simple slash, and the light line seemed to have disappeared after going through the wolves' bodies. The next second, the wolves' bodies were slit in half. As the wolves were running, their split bodies were thrown forward.

Katheryn has run around the two wolves and killed them at last. After finishing her kill, she turned to see Aragon standing in front of the two bodies of the wolves.
