Clash

The hall was filled with audience members from both sides. The members of Ditrayn were still calmly sitting and watching the situation play out. They were the ones that were the least bit concerned about the statement made by Rhaet.

On the other hand, Rhaet and Katheryn were feeling restless. Vaises was now standing before Rhaet and staring at him. His tranquil bearing made Rhaet lose his confidence. Rhaet was feeling unsure about all his plans.

"Chief Rhaet, I know all about your exploits and the battles you fought in these mountains. You have enjoyed the glory and the name of a great warrior."

"But I have a proposal for you."

Vaises paused for a minute before saying, "How about you come to work for me?"

Rhaet was bewildered to hear him and said, "What did you say?"

"I am asking you to come work for me," Vaises repeated his words again.
