A trial - 2

As the tense atmosphere lingered, Aragon realized that he had unwittingly become entangled in a web of intrigue and ambition.

Udora remained silent.

Leanna said, "What have you got yourself to say? Explain yourself?"

Udora looked at Leanna, and then his eyes darted to Javorne and Draaro. Like some revelation had hit him, he revealed a broad smile and said, "And what use will that be?"

Javorne, who seemed like he was holding himself back from bursting out, said in a loud tone, "See, how is he acting now? He doesn't even want to give an explanation because he knows he has been caught."

Udora's smile widened, his demeanor shifting from one of resignation to a sense of defiance. The accusation of betrayal seemed to fuel a hidden fire within him. His eyes gleamed with a mix of audacity and amusement.
