102. Scandal
The 2 men who saw Mira at the park with Ben & Bella run to the Fairy Tail Guild Building. They are senior members of Fairy Tail Mages, Wakaba, and Macao. These 2 want to tell their Guild mates about Mira as this is very shocking to them.
"Wait! Do we really need to tell everyone about this?" asks Wakaba while they run.
"What do you mean by that? Of course, we need to tell everyone. Mira is getting close to a boy. Who knows what that boy will do to Mira? She has been hurt by what happened to Lisanna. We can't let an unknown kid hurt her feeling again. That's why we need to tell everyone so we can protect her from that kid," says Macao.
"Ah, you're right," says Wakaba in realization.
"If he hurt Mira's feeling, then he will take the rage of Fairy Tail," says Macao with an angry expression.
"He hasn't done anything," says Wakaba with a sweatdrop.
"Yet, he doesn't do it yet," says Macao confidently.
"Not every man is like you," says Wakaba before getting a hit on his head from Macao.
"Anyway, we need to tell everyone so we can supervise those 2. We need to protect Mira from that boy's demonic hands," says Macao.
Both of them run faster to their guild and arrived in a few minutes. They open the door hastily and gather everyone's attention.
"EVERYONE, IT'S AN EMERGENCY! MIRA IS HAVING A BOYFRIEND," shouts Macao.
"Oi, that statement is not quite right," says Wakaba.
"..... WHAT?!" shouts everyone in surprise after a short pause.
Elfman slaps his forehead and apologizes to Ben & Mira in his heart. Everyone gets in an uproar and causes a ruckus. They look at Elfman and ask him about it at the same time.
He is confused about how to answer their questions. Elfman can't answer anything and it annoys the Mages. They want a clear answer, so they decide to see it themselves by going to the park.
Elfman tries to stop them, but he can't, and gets stepped on the floor instead. Every mage in the room goes out from the building and runs to the park, even the younger members around Elfman & Mira's ages.
"Hmm? Where's everyone?" asks Makarov curiously after coming out of his office.
"Master, there's a big problem," says Elfman while crawling on the floor.
In the park, Ben & Mira is playing with Bella while talking. They don't know something has happened in Fairy Tail Guild and just enjoy their time. They talk about their selves, jobs, magic, etc.
"How many magic books that you've collected?" asks Mira while throwing a ball at Bella.
"I only have around 1800 books, but I've read and recorded around 3400 books from all grades. It's hard to find magic books in public stores, so I can't collect a lot of them. The Guilds and Magic Organizations are keeping their magic books tightly, after all," says Ben.
"1800 COLLECTIONS?! That's a very high number already. And you've also read 3400 books, that's amazing," says Mira with a surprised expression.
"Sigh, it's not as impressive as it sounds. Many magic books just contain a little information. Most of them are also have low grades or even incomplete. Besides, you need to know that one magic type can have many books. That's why 3400 is still a small number," says Ben.
"Hmm, that makes sense. Even my Take-Over Magic has many books that explain about it," says Mira.
"Every Mage has their view about their magic. That's why there are many books about one magic with different views. It's very interesting how the same magic can be used in different ways based on someone's understanding about that magic," says Ben with an excited smile.
"You really like magic, huh?" asks Mira with a smile.
"Aren't all Mages like magic? We just have different ways to enjoy and show our love for Magic Art," says Ben.
"I guess you're right," says Mira.
They keep talking while playing with Bella using the toys that they've bought earlier. But they don't realize that many people hide around the park and look at them. Those people are Fairy Tail Mages.
The Mages are looking at Mira & Ben intensely. They can't hear what Mira & Ben are talking about, but both of them look very close. They are very curious about Ben's identity as they never saw him.
"Woah, Mira is really good. He is very handsome and looks manly. Maybe I can try to hit on him if Mira failed," says Cana, a girl with brown hair.
"Look, Natsu! There's a cat that looks like me," says a blue cat.
"Ah, you're right. Let's talk to them," says Natsu, a teenage boy that has pink hair.
"Stop it! We're here to keep tabs on them. It will ruin everything if you go there," says a topless boy with black hair, he's Gray.
"What'd you say, Ice Princess? Also, wear your shirt!" says Natsu angrily.
"Huh? What'd you call me, Flame Brain?" says Gray angrily.
*BONK BONK*
A girl with scarlet hair knocks their head to stop their squabble.
"Behave yourself!
"Aye!" replied Natsu & Gray.
"Hmm, I think I've seen that boy somewhere, but I can't remember it," says Erza, the girl with scarlet hair.
The teen Mages are looking at Ben & Mira from behind a tree. They're really curious about Mira's relationship with Ben.
"Wait! I think I've seen him too, but where?" says Natsu while trying to remember it.
Natsu can't remember it even after trying very hard. He doesn't remember that he has met with Ben after Lisanna's incident. Well, that was night and Ben is inside his car, so Natsu couldn't see him clearly.
On the park's hill, Ben finally feels the Fairy Tail Mages' gazes. He looks at the gazes' sources but doesn't see anyone. The Mages have hidden when Ben started to notice their gazes.
Ben frowns before shrugging the feeling off. He thinks that maybe some people are just curious about Bella. It's always the case when they were taking jobs. People are always curious about Bella because she doesn't look like a normal cat.
They play in the park for a few hours and leave at lunchtime. The three of them then eat in a restaurant that sells Magnolia's specialties. Ben & Bella never tried this town's specialties as they never get a job here.
The Fairy Tail Mages are still following them and watch them from the outside. These guys really have a lot of free time. They choose to stalk people rather than take jobs.
"You guys really have a lot of free time, don't you?" asks someone from behind the Mages.
"What do you mean by free time? We are doing an important thing here," says Macao without looking back.
"Oh, is it more important than your jobs?" asks the same person.
"This is a job too, so this is important. We can take the Guild jobs later after we finish this," says Macao, still without looking back.
"Oh, is that so?" says the same person with a rather angry tone.
The Mages suddenly flinch when they realize that the person's voice sounds familiar. They look back robotically and see the person who asked them before. It is their Guild Master, Makarov, who has turned into a 3 meters giant and looks at them angrily.
"Return to the Guild, now!" says Makarov with a low voice.
"Yes," replied the Mages with a scared tone.
Ben gets alerted when he sensed Makarov's magic. It is very strong and close to their location. But it disappears fast and he can sense that they're not the target, so he can relax.
"What's wrong?" asks Mira.
"Nothing, let's just eat," says Ben.
The three of them resume their lunch peacefully while the Fairy Tail Mages' fate remains unknown.
