136. Spatial Storage
The next day after giving the girls their gifts, Ben goes to the town. He will take the materials that the Kingdom gave him as compensation for his broken magic car. It broke in his job to investigate the newly found island a few months before his journey.
Those materials are saved in Oshibana Town and he hasn't taken them. So he goes there with the girls using their old model magic car. He will also buy other materials that he needs for crafting some magic items.
They arrived in Oshibana after 3 hours of slow driving. Ben decides to walk around the town with the girls first before buying the materials. It's been a long time since they spend their time like this, after all.
He buys them a lot of things in the town, especially clothes. They've grown since last year, so their clothes aren't fit again now. The villagers have made some clothes for them, but they couldn't make too many.
In the afternoon, they finally buy the materials that Ben needs. He just buys a few and then takes the magic car materials in the Mayor's residence. They get the materials easily because those are Ben's items in the first place.
Ben & co return to the village before the sky turns dark. He drives slowly and enjoys the sensation of driving a car again after a year. Even though this car is an old model, but this is still a car.
The next day, Ben starts his new project. He will build a new magic car and also make some magic items. With the knowledge from Magic Library, Ben has some magic item ideas that he wants to make now.
"It will take months if I worked on these alone. Luckily, I have some helpers," says Ben as he made 7 clones.
It surprises Wendy & Carla who immediately hide behind the real Ben.
"B-Ben nii-san, there are many of you," says Wendy.
"Yeah, they are my clones that I made using magic that I learned in the Magic Library. Bella can also make a clone, you know," says Ben.
Bella nods and makes a clone. Wendy & Carla are stunned to see that and immediately ask Ben to teach them. But Ben can't do it because he has something to do, so he asks Bella to teach them the Clone Magic, and she agrees.
After the girls leave to train, Ben gives his clones their tasks. All his 7 clones will work on the magic car while he will work on the other magic items. He has made the new car's blueprint, so they just need to follow the instructions.
The clones work in the workshop while Ben will work in an empty building. He has stored the materials that he needs and the magic items that he got from Morgbitt here. Ben wants to modify some of Morgbitt's magic items too, so he stored them here.
"Alright, let's get started," says Ben as he takes a wide piece of Yeti's leather that has thick white fur.
Ben draws a pattern on the inner side of the leather and cuts it. Then he draws a magic circle that contains many small magic letters on it. It's easy for Ben to make the magic circle because he has learned it for a long time.
"Good, now for the most difficult part," says Ben after finishing the magic circle.
Ben takes some sewing utensils and starts to sew the leather. It takes a long time for him to finish as he has never sewed before. When he finished, a very bad-shaped sling bag is created.
"Ugh, I can't give this to anyone. But let's try if it works first," says Ben as he flows his Magic Power into the bag.
The bag glows white for a minute before it dims and turns back to normal. Ben opens the bag and it is pitch black inside the bag. He puts his hand inside and can't touch the bottom at all.

Ben is elated to hear that. He has succeeded to create a spatial magic item where he can store his items. His hard work for months since he left the Magic Library has been paid off now.
"AI Chip, explain it," asks Ben.
[The spatial storage bag's space has the size of 10x10x10 meters, so it's 1000 m3. Can't store air and water without a container, so it's not suitable for a living being. Time flows normally inside like the outside. Can only store items smaller than the bag's mouth.]
"Hmm, the last part is very problematic. It seems I need to use the 2nd method," says Ben as he puts the spatial bag on a shelf.
The 2nd method that Ben means is by drawing the magic circle on his left palm. But the magic circle is a little different from the one that he drew before. Untrained eyes won't see the difference because it is very small, but it will give a very different effect.
After he finished the magic circle, Ben flows his MP into it. The magic circle glows white before it disappears as if it's never there. But Ben can feel a connection with the magic circle and knows that he can control it.

[It has the same specification as the Spatial Storage Bag, except for the items that it can store. The mark can store something a lot bigger than its 'mouth' size. But the user needs to use more MP to do it, based on the item's size. The storage inside is also upgradeable unlike the bag because it's installed on a living being.]
"Awesome, it's a lot better than I expected. Is there other weaknesses except that it can't store living being?" asks Ben.
[Yes, it can't be erased, so it will leave a permanent mark on the user's body.]
"Not a problem for me, but it might be a problem for others. I planned to give the girls this as gifts, but the permanent mark might be a problem. Hmm, let's just ask them about it. They can choose the Mark or Bag," says Ben.
Ben takes the bag and goes to meet the girls who train the Clone Magic with Bella. He calls them and shows the spatial storage bag & mark.
"So, which one that you want?" asks Ben.
"Bag," replies the girls at the same time.
"Are you sure? It can't store something bigger than the bag's mouth and it can't be upgraded, you know," says Ben.
"Ben brings, hihihi," says Bella while giggling.
"You will ask me to bring your things like usual, huh? Fine. What about you two?" asks Ben while sweatdropping.
"I just need the bag because I don't need to store big things like you, after all. 1000 m3 is also big enough for me," says Wendy.
"Me too, the bag is big enough for my stuff. But the bag seems very ugly," says Carla as she looks at the bag that Ben made.
"Don't worry, I will ask Aunt Aiyana to make the bag. I will just make the mechanism to turn the bags into spatial storages," says Ben.
Ben then leaves to take the Yeti's skin & fur then goes to a house near the village gate.
"Aunt Aiyana, are you home?" asks Ben in front of the door.
"Yes~. Oh, Ben-chan, why're you here?" asks Aiyana, a middle-aged woman with long straight brown hair.
"Can you make 3 sling bags using this material? They're for Wendy, Carla, & Bella," says Ben.
"Of course, anything for my cute girls. What about you?" asks Aiyana happily.
"I'm okay. The backpack that you made for me before my journey is enough," says Ben.
"Alright then, the bags will finish tomorrow afternoon," says Aiyana.
The next day, Ben takes the bags that Aiyana made. They look far better than the one that Ben made. He doesn't think much about it and immediately draws the required magic circle in the bag.
Ben finished the bags and then gives them to the girls. They are very happy because the bags are very pretty and very useful. They thank Ben and he rubs their heads before returning to the storage room.
Ben looks at the materials & says, "Alright, let's continue the work."
