244. Nutcracker

After he returned to Magnolia, Ben immediately makes a plan to visit the Magic Library. He needs to do something about it because visiting the Magic Library will surely take months because he needs to scan a lot of books there.

On his way back to Magnolia, Ben has thought about it too. He thought that it will be very convenient if he has a door connecting Fairy Tail & Magic Library. That wild thought actually gives him an idea that he never thought of before.

Ben plans to make a teleportation device that connects Fairy Tail & Magic Library. Teleportation devices actually have been invented on Earth Land. But it's not widely spread and only those with high authority know about it.

With his position as a Wizard Saint, Ben can get the method to build it. But he won't do that because it will make the Council & other guilds know that he is planning something with it. It will be very troublesome if they try to do something because of it.

So he will make it himself with the help of the best assistant, AI Chip. He already knows and even uses some teleportation magic spells. Now he just needs to break them down into their details and build the device.

The device that he plans to make will be exclusive to him. So only he can use it and others need his help to use it. This way, he can keep the secret and prevent the misuse of his teleportation device.

While working on it, Ben looks at a nutcracker doll on his table. It's a doll he uses to store Zancrow's soul now. He moved the soul from the previous wooden puppet to this nutcracker. At least it will have some use because it can actually crack nuts.

"Sigh, I still need to think about the God Slayer Magic too. Damn, there are too many things to do and they keep increasing. I don't even have time to train seriously and only do daily training since I recovered," grumbles Ben.

"Don't think too much about it and just do it like how you usually do. After the Anima plan is finished, you will be able to start your research on these things and get stronger," says Mira who helps Ben filter new quests.

"I know, it's just taking too long. All these new tasks as Guild Master were taking my time," says Ben.

"Well, there's no help to that. But now the busy days as the new Guild Master finally ends, isn't it?" asks Mira.

"Yeah, the new management system has been established. It will take a huge load out of my shoulders and makes our guild works easier. Now, only the most important things will need my personal thought. The rest will be handled by the new official departments," says Ben.

Ben has asked AI Chip to make the most efficient management system from all the data it has. It takes a rather long time for AI Chip to finish it because they needed to test it through many simulations before applying it.

Also, they needed time to gather the personnel for this new system that needs more people than their previous system. They couldn't just take anyone in and need to find those they can trust because these people will handle important things in the guild.

But they also have anticipated if something unwanted happens. They have built a department to handle all these unwanted things and also make safety measures in every department & group.

Ben is really careful with this kind of thing since Magic Council infiltrated them. Besides, espionage isn't the only thing he needs to be wary of. There are still some crimes that can happen in an organization like this and he needs to anticipate them all.

The management system that Ben & AI Chip made has many kinds of safety measures against many kinds of trouble. But they'll still supervise it and make necessary changes if they find faults.

"So, when will you go to the Magic Library?" asks Mira while Ben is cracking a walnut-like nut using his new nutcracker.

*Crack* The nut gets cracked easily.

"I don't know. It needs to wait until I'm done building the teleportation device. After that, we can go back & forth to the Magic Library anytime we want," says Ben before eating the cracked nut.

"How're those 3 children doing?" asks Ben while cracking another nut.

"They're doing good, those children are obedient and do their work as waiters properly. I can't say the same about their magic learning though. But it's not them who really have the problem at learning, it's those 11 who aren't really good at teaching. The 3 have made progress, but it's slow," says Mira.

"Well, it will take time for them to have good teaching skills. They will eventually get better. The most important thing is that the 3 still make progress no matter how slow it is. Those 3 also have just started learning magic, so we can't expect it to be fast," says Ben.

Ben & Mira then go to the hall to relax and talk with the others. Bella has waited in the hall while helping the children work. She doesn't want to stay in Ben's office because it is too boring for her.

While he sits on the bar chair, Ben looks at some Mages who are choosing jobs. Now, the jobs have more classification so the Mages will know the risks better. There are 5 job classes from A to E which they can choose.

These classes are based on difficulties, not rewards. Although most dangerous jobs have a higher reward, that's not always the case. Sometimes, there are jobs with lower difficulties but have a high reward, and the opposite also appears sometimes.

Ben also has classified their Mages' classes from A to E which previously doesn't exist. This system will make the Mages know the limit of the jobs they can take. The classification also applied to teams that are affected by the members' classes.

But sometimes, there are cases where Mage's class doesn't affect their job class. It's when their abilities match the job so they will have a high chance to finish it. But to do that, they need the Guild Master's approval first, which of course, is not easy.

Ben made this system to ensure his Mages' safety. Death is always a risk in their line of job and he wants to minimize it. Even if they don't die, there's always a possibility of injuries that lead to a retirement, and that will reduce their Guild's force.

If the Mages want to get higher classes jobs with higher pay, they need to get stronger. Ben also has made better training programs that all Fairy Tail Mages can take. They also have better training facilities built after they get the Magic Council's 'apology'.

Ben gives them more freedom to learn from their guild's library too. So there's no excuse for the Mages to not get stronger now. If they can't get stronger, then they can only blame their laziness.

As he sees the Mages who choose jobs, Ben is reminded that he hasn't taken any job since he recovered. Now the guild's management system has been established so he can leave the guild for a few days.

"Should we take a job, Mira? We need to increase our S-Class job record too. There are only the 2 of us who can take them, after all," asks Ben.

"I've just taken a job a few days ago. But I don't mind going with you. I doubt I'll have anything to do in the job, after all," says Mira.

"Nice, I can work up now. My body is getting stiff from all these office works," says Ben excitedly.
