250. Teleportation Doors
The Anima plan has been executed well and the result in the early days is good. Now, the Ethernano density inside the Fairy Tail Guild building is high. The density around the town is also quite high but not as high as inside the guild building.
This high density of Ethernano will make all Fairy Tail Mages grow faster. They often spend their time inside the guild building for training or just lazying around. Even if they don't train, their magic power will increase slowly.
But Ben doesn't want them to just laze around doing nothing. He has set a training schedule for every one of them and they all need to follow it. This training schedule has been established since he became the Guild Master and it ran smoothly until now.
With everything that he has done, Ben hopes that they will have some S-Class Mages again in a few years. It won't be easy but they aren't in a rush. They have some young Mages with good potential so it won't be impossible.
But just having strong magic power isn't enough to make a Mage truly strong. They need other things like experience and strong magic. That's why Ben will go to Magic Library now that the Anima plan has been executed.
AI Chip has finished the teleportation device and he is making it now. The device has the form of doors that will connect to each other. Of course, there will be magic circuits made of runes and lacrima crystal to power the doors.
The magic circuits have security systems like ID to prevent people from using the doors freely. Only those with Fairy Tail mark can use the doors to teleport. Ben has modified the marks that they all have to be like IDs for the doors.
But he will also build some personal doors that can only be used by him. He also has understood the magic circuits very well that he can use any door as a one-time teleportation device. But that isn't very efficient because the circuits are complicated and it takes a long time to make.
Making the doors beforehand is more efficient as he just needs to pour his magic power into the doors. His guildmates will also be able to use them so they all can reap the benefit. It might save them if emergency situations arise in the future too.
Initially, Ben planned to make this teleportation device a secret and use it for himself. But then he thought about what will happen if the guild is in danger and everyone can't leave while he isn't there. So he decided to make the device available for all Fairy Tail Mages.
He knows that sooner or later the Magic Council will find out about this device. So until then, he will make use of this device for his & the guild's benefit. When the Council knows, he will just make the patent and sell it at a high price just like what he did in the past with his lacrima-fueled engine.
After a week, Ben has made 15 teleportation doors. He has planned to set the doors on some locations. But for now, he will just set it on the guild building 2nd floor, his office, his house, and the Magic Library that he will visit soon.
"Mira, Macao, I'll leave the guild to you. After I set up the teleportation door on Magic Library, I will return immediately," says Ben in front of the guild.
"Sigh, I have taken care of the official works for many days now. Can't I get some days to rest?" asks Macao tiredly.
"Then, do you prefer to do all the work that I will do? You can become the Guild Master if you want. How is it?" asks Ben back.
"N-No, I'm good. The official works aren't that hard, hahaha," says Macao nervously while backing off.
Mira giggles before she says, "Don't worry about the guild, I will protect it. Just be careful on your way there. We never know what will happen."
"Yeah, I know. Don't forget to prepare what I've told you," says Ben.
Mira nods and then Ben gets on Light Runner before he takes his leave. He just goes with Bella, quite a long time since they go on a journey by just the 2 of them. Bella doesn't talk much, but Ben knows she is happy now.
They use the highway first and stop in a few towns. They aren't in a hurry and Ben needs to relax after working nonstop for days. Exploring towns like this is something that he always enjoys.
He has visited some of these towns but it's still fun to explore them. It's not like he always comes to these towns so he can't get bored of them. He also enjoys the changes in these towns that he has visited in the past.
His visits to these towns delay his travel to Magic Library. But that doesn't really matter because he can rest from his busy routines for a while. Besides, he drives as fast as he can between towns so he doesn't waste too much time.
At least that's what he thought but it takes him a week to reach the Magic Library. It would take 2 days at most if he drove at a rather low speed. But he wasted too much time in his town's exploration.
"It's been a long time since I came here. There's still no trace of anyone coming after I left. Sigh, this place really seems to be abandoned," says Ben while inspecting the surrounding.
"Well, I don't care if they abandon this place. I am happy instead because I can do anything I want here," says Ben before he teleports inside.
There's no change too inside the library. It's still exactly the same as when he left it. That means no one was really here since he left. Well, that was also the case when he found this place.
"What a waste. Such a good place is being left to rot in a forest like this. Well, I will use it if no one else wants it," says Ben as he goes to the secret room that he found when he first came here.
The secret room will be the most suitable place to install the teleportation door. It will be safe even if some people enter the Library for an unknown reason.
"Bella, let's go back first and return here with Mira & Macao," says Ben.
"No Macao!" says Bella while making an X with her hands.
"Hahaha, you don't want Macao to come here? Alright then, we will just take Mira for now," says Ben.
Ben puts his hand on the teleportation door's handle and pours his magic power into it. Then thin complex blue lines appear all over the door. Clicking sounds can be heard before the door finally can be opened.
Behind the door is a very familiar place, the Guild Master's office. No one is here because this is Ben's personal office. He comes out and enters the staff office where some staffs are working on paperworks.
"Master!" says a staff in surprise.
"Don't worry about me, just resume your job. The door works, so I've just returned through the door in my office," says Ben.
"Ah, that's great. We were worried because you haven't returned after a week. Miss Mira even said that she will shave your hair if you still haven't returned tomorrow," says a female staff.
"Ugh, what a scary threat. Bella, I don't want to be bald, so please call Mira for me," says Ben.
Bella nods and flies out of the office to call Mira. Ben returns to his office and checks the teleportation door again. He tries to connect it to the one in the Magic Library and it works just fine. There's no problem with the circuits too so it is a great success.
He has tested the doors before he left but those doors were located in Magnolia. The distance wasn't too far so the burden on the magic circuits is not too high. The distance between Magnolia & Magic Library is hundreds of kilometers, so the burden will be high.
"What are you doing?" asks Mira who has just come with Bella.
Ben still checks the door so he doesn't turn back and answers, "Checking the circuits. There's no damage whatsoever but maybe it's because this is the first long travel usage. I will keep checking every time we use it. Well, for now, we don't have to worry, so let's start our plan."
