364. God Serena
3 days after their meeting with Ben, Wolfheim and Draculos go to God Serena's residence. They even bring Warrod with them because they know that if something happens, they won't be able to win against Serena that easily. The 3 of them know well the power of the man who is known as the strongest on this continent.
They meet with Serena who sits haughtily on a couch while the 3 are standing. It's his usual behavior, so they don't even bother to mention it. Then without any chit-chat, Draculos immediately tells Serena the reason they come here.
"God Serena, we've heard a piece of unsettling news, so we want to confirm it. Is it true that the Alvarez Empire has contacted you?" asks Draculos.
Serena is a little surprised that his arrogant and haughty face disappears instantly. His expression turns cold and he looks at the 3 of them.
Then he smirks and says, "That's not true."
The 3 look a little relieved, but they know that something is wrong by the look of Serena's face.
"Then the news about your defection to Alvarez Empire is also wrong, right?" asks Warrod.
"Well, about that," says Serena before someone interrupts him.
"The news about Alvarez Empire contacting him is wrong. But the news about his defection is true. It's not us who contacted him, but he is the one who contacted us," says a man with a skull tattoo on his forehead who appears out of nowhere.
The 3 old Mages are surprised because they didn't sense anything before this man appeared. They are 3 of the strongest Mages on this continent, yet they were being fooled so easily. This isn't the end of their surprise though because an old man suddenly enters the room through the door and they can feel a massive magic power coming from him.
"Jacob, there's no need to reveal such information to our enemies. His Highness has ordered us to not cause any ruckus while we're here. It's not the time yet, so we shouldn't cause a scene," says the old man who is known by the 3 Gods of Ishgar.
"You are August!?" says Draculos in surprise.
August looks at them for a moment before ignoring them and looking at Serena & Jacob.
"Let's leave now. His Highness told us to be fast because the information gets leaked and he is right. More information can get leaked if we stay too long here," says August while looking at the 3 Wizards again.
"Hmph, fine, they are not that important anyway. I don't see any benefit by fighting them now," says Serena.
"Good, let's go, Jacob," says August.
"I understand," says Jacob before clapping his hands.
Jacob, Serena, and August suddenly disappear from the room. The 3 Wizards are surprised and they immediately search for the disappearing trio. They suddenly hear a loud wheezing sound outside, so they go out and look at the sky where the sound comes from.
Above Serena's residence, they see a big floating ship. It's a literal ship that flies, not an airship like the one that Fairy Tail has. The ship then flies away, leaving the stunned 3 Wizards behind.
"Damn, this is really the worst. I never thought that God Serena will defect to Alvarez Empire just like what the kid said," says Wolfheim.
"Out of everyone, it just needs to be him. We really need to be worried about Alvarez Empire now. They have 12 people at the same level as God Serena. And I don't think he will be the strongest among those 12. Then, there is still their emperor, Zeref," says Warrod.
"That's right, and I don't think our Etherion can stop them again if they attack. They must've made a strategy to counter Etherion, so we need to think of other methods," says Draculos.
"Yeah, and I can only think of one method for now. We need that kid," says Warrod.
"But where is he? He said he would face God Serena, but he doesn't show up at all," says Wolfheim.
"I'm sure he has his own plan. He was the only one who could get the information about God Serena's deflection. So he must've made a plan to stop God Serena," says Draculos.
"Sigh, I hate to admit it, but I think he is our only chance to stop God Serena. The 3 of us know that man's ability the best and we will need to use everything we have to take him down. His 8 Dragon Slayer Magic aren't just for show. But that kid, he gave me a far more terrifying feeling than God Serena," says Wolfheim.
"Yeah, I still can feel the chill just by remembering what our meeting 3 days ago," says Draculos.
"Well, even if God Serena has 8 Dragon Slayer Magic, he never truly slays a Dragon. But Ben has slew not just 1, but 3 Dragons by himself in one night. He defeated another 1 but left it alive for an unknown reason. We never saw him using his full power in a battle, but my gut tells me that he is more powerful than God Serena," says Warrod.
"I would disagree in the past, but I agree with you now, and I hope it is true," says Wolfheim.
"Yeah, he might be our only hope," says Draculos.
The 3 old Gods of Ishgar who are said to be the strongest in this continent are relying on a young man now. Well, that young man has done many impossible feats. He just didn't get enough recognition because he is a part of Fairy Tail, a guild hated by the Magic Council.
Now, these 3 finally realized that they really need to reform the Magic Council. A group that manages Ishgar's Magic World shouldn't be biased and need to be fair. Sure, Fairy Tail Mages are misbehaved, but their achievements are greater than any other Guilds in Ishgar.
When the 3 Wizards are talking about Ben, the other 3 who are departing to Alvarez Empire also talk about him. August is close to Zeref, so he has heard many things. And lately, Zeref kept thinking about Ben and anticipated a battle against him.
"God Serena, do you know a Dragon Slayer named Ben Cooper?" asks August.
"Hmm? Ah, I think I've heard about him, but I'm not sure," says God Serena while trying to remember about Ben.
Serena is a very arrogant and self-centered person who thinks that others are below him. So he is never interested in others and deemed them insignificant. That is also the reason why he never accepted Ben's challenges, he just can't be bothered to fight an insignificant person.
But August's next words irk his interest, "His Highness is very interested in that man. He also told me something interesting. While you have 8 Dragon Slayer Magic, he has 3 Slayer Magic," says August.
"Slayer Magic? Why is it just Slayer Magic?" asks Jacob.
"It's not really a type of magic by itself. What I mean is that he has 3 different types of Slayer Magic, all 3 types ever known on our Continents. He has Devil, Dragon, and God Slayer Magic with the same element, Sun," says August.
Jacob & Serena widen their eyes and Jacob asks, "How is it even possible? Those 3 types have different tiers. So the higher tier should overpower the lower ones and make them disappear."
"That's what we think because we never have anyone talented enough to learn the 3 types at once," says August.
"Sun Dragon Slayer, huh? I think I remember him. He is that annoying kid who always looked at me with an irritating gaze every time we met," says Serena.
"Sigh, I'm really surprised that you don't know him though. He is very famous now after slaying 3 Dragons that came from the past and even fought Acnologia after that," says August.
Serena seems surprised and asks, "Really?"
"Yeah, that's what makes His Highness interested in him. Sigh, you really are something else," says August.
"Hmm, then I-," Serena can't finish his sentence because suddenly they sense a powerful source of magic power coming toward them at an unimaginable speed.
They look at where it comes from and can only see a yellow light flying toward them. It flies utterly fast and it already reaches their ship just after they started looking at it. They haven't even blinked when the light crashes onto their flying ship.
Everyone holds onto anything because the ship gets pushed to the side. Then they all look at the intruder who is walking calmly after the ship stops moving. It's a man with rather dark skin, blonde hair, and has a Fairy Tail mark on his right hand. Ben has appeared.
