Power tussle 2

"Are you even doing anything!?"

"IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE BACKSEAT DRIVING, HOW ABOUT I LET YOU HAVE YOUR BODY BACK THEN YOU DO A BETTER JOB."

There was no way I could do a better job than he was doing keeping up with Kenzie's attacks. She was so fast she appeared as a blur to me even when I could react to light. Her attacks were purely destructive and the only ones able to keep up with her moves were Callipso and Oceania.

"What is happening to her!?" Oceania grunted using his lightning to bind her which she slapped away effortlessly.

"I HAVE NO IDEA, BUT YOU GODS LIKE TO EXPERIMENT, SURELY YOU MUST KNOW WHAT SHE IS."

"Hey you!" the water god ignored Callipsos remark calling out to the sentry below. "Go back to the field and send for Lady Camilla as well as Bellona. Tell Camila we've found her daughter but on different circumstances."

Kenzie's mother was here? How did Oceania know about her?

The sentry nods before jumping into the air, covering great distances with his leaps.

"We'll just have to hold her off on our own until backup arrives," Oceania announces before a lightning bolt pins him to the ground.

"YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS STRONG. THE QUESTION IS HOW DO WE STOP HER WITHOUT KILLING HER?"

"Let me talk to her. I could convince her to stop," my hopes were astronomically stupid considering the fact that she was overpowering Oceania and Callipso at the same time and I had no idea what she was.

"FINE, BUT IF I FEEL THIS BODY BEING HARMED I WILL UNLEASH HELL ON HER."

Taking over from Callipso, my powers started to weaken while I grunted to keep up with her attacks.

"Kenzie listen to me!" I pleaded at the top of my voice. "Wherever you are in there please come back."

"THIS IS PATHETIC TO WATCH," he chuckled.

"Would you shut it!?" I telepathically commanded.

"AND WHAT IF I TOLD YOU I WAS RIGHT HERE," her voice echoed through the sky. She spoke just like Callipso giving me the same chills I had gotten from him the first time we had met.

"It cannot be," Oceania announced joining me in the fight. He looked terrified to hear her speak.

"What is it?" I asked with a grunt shielding myself from more lightning based attacks as he did the same.

"Callipso can you see this?" he ignored my question flying towards her with his trident.

"Answer me," I blurted chasing after the god.

"Boy not now," his voice sounded irritated. "Wherever Callipso is, bring him back now."

"XERXES, LET ME TAKE OVER. THIS IS BIGGER THAN YOU THINK," his voice rang inside of me with grave seriousness.

What could make Callipso and Oceania panic in such manner, I thought.

With an obvious nod I let him take over as my powers intensifies and the glow on my body and eyes get stronger.

"YOU DON'T THINK IT'S IN HER DO YOU?" he asked with concern, evading a wind blast to the face before creating a barrage of flames towards his target.

"There is no doubt about it. We have to take her out right now or we risk losing everything again," Oceania grunted releasing a large crackle of lightning to Kenzie who sped out of the way before giving off hers.

"DEAL. I'M STILL CONFUSED AT HOW SHE HAS THAT POWER."

"Less talk, more fight," the water god struggled to keep up with the warriors powers before being knocked back again.

"THAT'S IT," Callipso bawled as the glow on my body intensifies.

"What are you doing!?" I asked in hysteria.

"DOING WHAT I WAS CREATED TO DO. DESTROYING THAT POWER."

The landscape around us was already history with lava blasting out of the ground and the seas being raised into the sky leaving behind a wet landscape. It was total chaos.

Kenzie smiled evilly with the armour on her body starting to glow black. The aura she emitted was foul, I never knew she had this kind of power in her. It was harsher than the gods or the demons I had faced.

"THAT WON'T WORK ON ME. NOT ANYMORE," she chuckled evilly.

"WE WON'T KNOW UNTIL WE TRY," he responded back before clapping his hands in her direction releasing a destructive wave which flung her backwards destroying everything in its path including the town which was a few kilometers away.

The skies were black with thunder and lightning raging across them. Nothing remained below us as the landscape flowed with lava still erupting from the ground. Oceania had blitzed towards my teammates on the ground carrying them to safety as the vampire did the same with the two vampires, carrying them out of the vicinity.

When he had let up on his attacks, she was no more.

"Why did you do that!?" I asked in rage.

"I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE. IT WAS THE ONLY WAY," he responded in defense of his actions.

A foul aura froze us mid-air as she spoke from behind us, "DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH TO TAKE ME OUT?"

We turned to look at her as a powerful kick to the ribs sent us flying at incredible speeds into another field with lots of creatures running out of the way, but she was not done. She hurtled into my body with her knee on my chest obliterating the green field into nothing but broken rocks as lava blasted out of the ground destroying everything.

"I DON'T THINK YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM YET," she spat out. "LET ME SHOW YOU."

Grabbing my head, she infused so much of her dark aura into my body as my soul was being ripped away. The pain I felt vibrated throughout my entire body weakening me.

"Callipso..." I called out weakly, my eyes starting to get dim.

"NO," I heard him say before my strength returned as I opened my eyes to see her being tossed across the field.

Taking to the skies I heard someone snort behind me, " Couldn't you have done an easier job?"

It was Mephistopheles. I had never been more happy to see him than I was right now.

He looked at her and shook his head in confusion, "I don't even wanna know who or what that is."

"Well maybe next time you shouldn't drink when you're on the job," a giant woman replied back to him in an angry tone.

"Gagontae, now's not a good time," I recognized that to be Seniles voice.

Looking around, the four great gods surrounded Kenzie with their arms outstretched. I recognized some of them by their bronze skin and perfect look which made me feel inferior.

"HOW ABOUT WE SCRATCH THAT STUPID THOUGHT FROM YOUR HEAD AND FOCUS ON GETTING RID OF YOUR GIRLFRIENDS POWER," Callipso barked at me.

"Okay first off, get out of my head and secondly she's not my girlfriend."

"WHATEVER YOU SAY LOVER BOY," he grunted.

Kenzie let off an evil laugh pointing to a woman who had joined the circle with three other women behind her, "YOU HAD ONE JOB, TO KEEP ME DOWN AND YOU FAILED. ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS AGAIN?"

The woman had a worrisome expression on her face, "Everyone hold her down."

Callipso and the gods released a huge energy surge which turned into a huge chain on her hands pinning her into the ground.

"IF I WANTED TO DESTROY EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW NONE OF YOU WOULD STAND A CHANCE. BUT I'LL WITHDRAW FOR NOW UNTIL THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE POWER COMES TO GET IT," she said with a sinister laugh.

The woman who had joined the group stretched out her hands chanting runic inscriptions with the women behind her as the markings on Kenzie's body started to disappear.

Before the waning dark aura faded, it pointed to me, "WE SHALL MEET AGAIN XERXES AND THIS TIME I WILL NOT HOLD BACK."

The women with the chants screamed the spells even louder before a coin was tossed to Kenzie who screamed falling to the ground in submission with the marks on her body totally gone.

Everyone fell to the ground chuckling weakly at their victory as a crowd formed cheering behind us. I laid on the ground taking over my body with the rain drizzling down on all of us. We had won, but for how long before something else would appear.

Mephistopheles stretched his hand to me pulling me to my feet and into an embrace.

"I thought I had lost you," he whispered into my ear.

"I'm back now father and I'm not going anywhere," I reassured him, hugging him even tighter. It was nice having my father back again. It had been a crazy week, no, more like a crazy year.

He let me go before Senile jumped on his back wrestling playfully with him. Laughing at my father's reactions to his brother I walked away from him only to see a group of women carrying Kenzie away on a stretcher into a tent.

So many questions bothered me but the most notable one was how my father was in the same field that I was supposed to be in with Kenzie.

No need to have a migraine over thoughts such as these I thought. The questions would come later. Right now, I had to bask in our victory and enjoy the moment.

It had really been a long week.
