Land of Snow (3)

[Blank]

At what point should they just give up? Blank looked over the destruction as he shot down another handful of the cows. The entire government base was now in shambles. Were the other remaining cities also this torn up. Were they even still a thing?

Blank remembered the brief passing he had with NightSong a little while ago with how a few other countries had also set up bases with the few players they had from the major guilds.

He looked down at the wave of cows again. How easy it would be to just disappear in them and let saving the world become someone else's problem. Life at the top was terrible, sure he was the so called best player, you get blamed for everything, your expected to fix everything, all your saving is everyone who can look after themselves. Maybe he should just take the SnowLeps and form their own base and their own rules for a change.

Yeah definitely going to happen after this mess. The government can be its own problem.

Blank glanced again at his watch message that had started his little mental tantrum.

[Government Official 5: What good even is your guild if you can't even protect a little wall?]

He didn't bother to let their names show up on his watch, he had given them all numbers, and now he was just going to mute them. All they did was stay in their underground bunker giving orders as if they were somehow still in control. Who really had the power? The number one player?

...…..player number one....wasn't actually him. and look where this stupid society got him. No no, don't focus on that right now. Blank forced himself to continue destroying beasts without any mental effort. His mind was like a blank slate. The only true state for the 'fake' number one player.

How long had it been? The sky was starting to burst with colors. The amount of the cows had significantly declined but they were still roaming around.

A figure dodged out of a shattered house running for a nearby one. A cow took notice and charged at them. Blank hissed, if he just exploded the cow it would hurt the stupid civilian who wasn't where he was suppose to be. Honestly did he think he was some protagonist in an apocalypse movie? Side note that role is already taken sorry.

Blank rolled his eyes as he swooped down 'saving' the idiot that the world would have been better off without. Wasn't natural selection a thing? He was destroying the natural order by saving this idiot. Whatever.

Blank headed for a nearby rooftop, the idiot would just have to stay on one of the remaining buildings for now. He could only carry the extra weight for a few minutes.

"What the heck! You're just going to leave me here!" He yelped after realizing Blank was about to leave.

Blank just glared at him as if to say who's at fault here?

"You're supposed to be one of those player heroes right! Do you even know who I am? I..."

Blank flew out of range of his yapping. Yep if that building collapses Blank might have to 'accidently' not manage to save him.

Player heros, what a load of horse dung. I'm no hero, in fact I'd only classify maybe 8 of us as true hero types, and this dumb society already killed off one of them. Blank would never forgive them. On the surface it looked like a pure accident, but if you took a closer look.

Blank shuddered remembering what NightSong had sent him with a huge apology for not finding out sooner. NightSong was furious about it. The Black Wolves were the only government like group that he had any respect for. That document an image of it flashed briefly in his mind and Blank forgot to flap his wings for a few beats.

[Regarding the recent scandal of the NewLegacy player: RoyalBlue]

[Data found: Image is legit however player ID associated = 9865434 or Team Red's member: Rash.]

[This brings up an error question, what should be done about it? Do we wait for more details or act? And if we act is it for or against RoyalBlue or Rash?]

[CONFIDENTIAL: Dylan Underwood]

[Given the data we should consider both a threat. Even if player: RoyalBlue is considered a top player he doesn't seem to respond well to our orders. We would be better off if the true top player was considered to be Blank instead. The top player has a lot of control over the other guilds and their respect. Your orders are to send out confirmation of the image being legit, however leave out the player ID factor. Both should be considered targets for elimination.]

Blank felt himself shaking all over, nothing to do with the cold. Dead, he would make sure that they were all dead. NightSong was already looking into who all knew about it. Once he had the data, Blank was going to do some cleaning.

He floated in the air and watched the players zipping around saving the rest of the civilians and taking out the remaining monsters. Should they though? Were any of the civilians worth saving? They didn't even try to look after themselves and instead just blamed the players for everything.

Most civilians had created game accounts when the world had started merging, those who hadn't well couldn't he just say they were refusing to evolve? Like a fish unable to swim, shouldn't they just be fed to a shark?

Blank slapped his face focusing himself. No he needed to stop comparing everyone to the government. Well until they gave him a reason to anyway.

Either way he was done with the stupid battle. The others would clean up the mess. He started looking over the remaining buildings. Which one should he make the new guild headquarters? Actually…

Blank flew out over the wall to the area that humanity had abandon. Just a bit away stood most of a large building. Its first floor was destroyed but its strong pillars still held up the second, third, and forth floors. With a bit of effort it wouldn't be hard to fortify it and build a wall around it.

Blank zipped over and examined the old mall closer. Since it was in an abandon zone it still had a lot of its original items. No one had tried to hoard all of its resources like the government. The second floor was missing a large window which made for an easy landing into the old department store part of it. couches and chairs met his eyes. They might be covered in dust but they were in great shape.

Hmm for this to work he'd need all of his guild to be able to fly though. Currently about half of them had a fly type item. His wings were far superior but the game did have flying potions and simply float charms. It even had other standard white wings, called Wings of the Angle. But they were just normal speed with no benefits. Hmm they would have to work.

Blank opened the guild message board.

[Note: We will be moving locations to 122 Indigo St. in the dead zone. Our new base will be the old Windstreak mall. Plan accordingly. All members are to get the Wings of the Angle item.]

Blank walked around through the old stores taking inventory. He still had to look after his guild, at least until the self proclaimed crazy fruit went away.

He was up on the fourth floor near the back. He really liked this old game shop. It still had some fun anime posters and working game devices. This would be great for the guilds hangout area.

He opened a back room and was slightly awed. It still had a large window overlooking the torn up landscape and the mountains in the distance. But that wasn't the part that made him love it.

On the side wall was an older poster promoting NewLegacy. A limited addition one made before player data was consider confidential and unusable without permission. Across the top it read…

[Top Assassin: RoyalBlue: Join NewLegacy for adventures beyond your wildest dreams!]

Heh if only they knew how true that saying would become. Below the line was an image of Royal's character. It was framed in a royal blue framing and the entire room had a royal blue color theme. The curtains, a large rug, all blue.

Yes this would be his room. Blank looked over it lovingly while a small tear slipped down his cheek.

He turned leaving it. He simply had to find all the royal blue colored items that remained in the mall for his room. His thoughts turned to a small blue couch he had seen earlier.

"Yep time to go shopping before all the nutcases join me." He said to himself.
