Chapter 03

What a crazy night. Addy had done something she had never done before; completely enthrall herself onto another. Their connection felt so real, so right, yet as soon as he pulled away and looked at her the way he did, made her think twice about her actions. What was his problem anyway!? If he didn't want to kiss her then he wouldn't have had her up against his car making out. He most certainly enjoyed it. It was true, she did step out of line by kissing him and knew it wasn't just because of the alcohol. Oh man, with those succulent lips of his, she just continued to fantasize about it, even when she tried not to.

Damn, she just couldn't get him off her mind! The way he held her - Oh my God, it was the most incredible kiss she had ever experienced. Yet, there was always something to ruin a good moment. The way he pulled away from her and just starred. Awkward! She also hated to admit but she felt hurt as well from his rejection. Wait, no. Hurt was the wrong word. Sure, it felt like that in the beginning, but now she felt irritated that he had rejected her. Ugh, men! It just royally sucked that it had ended before it'd even started.

Addy spent most of the weekend in her sweats, watching re-runs of Friends and texting her two gals about everything. Thinking about seeing Finn Monday morning made her feel unwell. It was definitely going to be super uncomfortable and she knew she couldn't just call in sick. Her boss was her father! If he had found out what they did, yikes! Finn on the other hand was feeling super pissed off with himself. He knew better than to get involved with Addy. If his father, or even worse, her father found out – he would be more than just in trouble. His entire future could be in jeopardy.

As bad as both of them felt, each of them dealt with their feelings the only way they knew how. Addy kept isolated in her room with snacks and Netflix, while Finn decided to blow off some steam with some weightlifting. He could only hope that come Monday that things would go back the way they'd been before they kissed, despite how much he wanted to explore this new development with her. Damn it. Why did this have to feel so complicated?

Back at Addy's house that following Sunday afternoon, her good friend Leslie decided to drop by and felt immediate remorse for her friend and the state she was in. She honestly looked as if she was just dumped by the hottest guy in school – sweats, hair in a messy bun, eating crap junk food while just sitting there on her bed watching TV. "Damn girl." Leslie began as she entered the room and witnessed everything in her friend's state. "I know you were upset in your texts, but this is taking it to a whole new level! I had no idea you were into this guy that much!"

"I'm not!" Addy was quick to defend herself. "I mean, I am kinda, but I don't know why! I don't even really know him, you know?"

"Sure." She replied, giggling at the thought that she was finally letting her guard down for another.

"We kissed but then he pulled away and just… starred at me. He was in complete shock, despite how he was kissing me against the car… damn it was so hot… but now what the hell am I suppose to do!? Tomorrow morning is going to be so awkward."

"Come on, girl! You just need a change of scenery. Now get out of those sweats and let's go out to lunch and get a manicure and pedicure! That way you'll look way too good for him tomorrow."

Leslie always knew what to say and how to cheer her up. It was the perfect plan to get herself looking irresistible for a new week of making Finn jealous. To hell with him! If he wanted to act all macho and blow her off then so be it; from here on out it was going to be operation ignore and conquer! By then, Addy had to text Simon to come over to escort them to their afternoon errands. Every day was the same, being supervised around the city. Although Simon was a sweetheart, she had experienced many days of feeling trapped in her life. A life that had to be constantly watched over by her father's demands. Here she was, a grown woman more than capable of taking care of herself, yet, had to deal with so many restrictions, because of her father. She needed to let loose, she needed to feel free! Something had to give, and it'd better be sooner or later before she'd snap!

Finn had his own set of weights in his two-bedroom apartment, which he shared with his roommate Nate who was also studying at NYU, but for engineering. "You know, Finn... if you keep benching the way you are, your muscles are going to explode!" Nate joked as he leaned against Finn's doorway with his arms crossed. "What is going on? You've been pissed all weekend and that's not cool! I even had a chick not come over because I know how you get around here when you're mad."

Taking a break, he then set everything down and took a deep breath and a drink of water. "I don't know, man. I'm in a complicated situation and don't know what to do about it."

"Ah, that girl. Addilyn, right? The daughter of one of the biggest law firms on the east coast. You into this chick?"

"I don't know. I am and I'm not. I mean, she has been constantly testing me all week with her flirting and it's been hard to resist. Friday night she was all over me and what was worse is that I gave in as well. Full-on make-out session. She's absolutely gorgeous, intelligent, and a full flirty tease. But if I get involved then I will lose this job and all respect my dad has for me. He could even go as far as kick me out of APS. I'll be fucked. I really need this job to help me finish school."

"Yeah, that is a tough situation, bro. I wish I had the answers for ya. Seems to me that she is just trying to mess with ya? You gotta choose either the job or her." As he then lowered his arms, Nate then stood from his lean and chuckled. "Now, come on! Let's go get some food!"

What was worse than thinking about Finn was trying not to think about Finn! Sunday night, Addy tossed and turned all night and reluctantly felt like a wreck Monday morning. She wasn't ready to face him. Although she was just about to get ready for work with her new look to throw him off, she wasn't exactly ready for the conversation part for when they were to be together. Yet without further choice, Addy was just going to have to make the best of the situation – look hot and act like nothing had happened when she was to see Finn. Who knows, maybe after a while, things would go back to normal. After all, he was certainly good at ignoring her during their rides. Let's hope the plan would carry out that way.

With Addy's mindset on ignoring him as much as possible, Finn on the other hand had decided that it would be best to talk to her about their situation; explaining the circumstances and hoped that she would understand without making their arrangement more awkward than how it felt already.

"Good morning." Addy was first to speak as she sat down in the back of his vehicle. He was surprised that she had taken the initiative to talk to him at all but could sense the tone of her voice that she was just simply just trying to be polite. He took a glance at her in the rear-view mirror to notice her appearance – she wore a tight knee-high gray skirt, violet collared shirt, complete with her hair straightened below shoulder length, make-up light, and a refreshing shade of purple to go with her outfit. Absolutely beautiful.

"Morning." Finn simply responded in the most casual tone he could to show no interest to make their situation more uncomfortable.

Driving off from her home, they spent most of their twenty-five-minute drive in silence towards her workplace before one of them actually had the guts to speak up.

"So, Finn, about the other night…"

"Ms. Jones, about Friday…"

Their timing couldn't be more predictable to collide with one another, which made them both smile and chuckle.

Finn felt nervous as the first to speak up, "Umm… Ms. Jones… I feel that our last encounter was too out of line and I hope that it won't jeopardize our future arrangement. This job is important to me, as is your protection, so I hope that you will understand that—"

"It is quite all right, Finn." Addy was quick to cut him off before finishing his sentence. "No need to worry. I get it." And she did. Day in and day out of her life as others had to make decisions for her. No freedom from her father. No choosing someone that she actually did finally seem to like. There were always rules. There were always restrictions. There was always a reason why she couldn't just live her life and be happy, which is why this situation was nothing new.

Finn then snuck another peek of her through the rear mirror, seeing her head down while staring out the window. Her face looked sad, almost as if she'd lost a little of her dazzle, her alacrity had diminished and that made him feel like a huge ass. Yet then suddenly, his mind changed. Wait. She got it? What the hell did she mean by that? Was she trying to act like this was just a game to her again? She probably hadn't had the slightest clue on the severity of their situation. She got it!? Yeah okay, princess! He felt himself become irritated at the thought. If this is how she wanted to act, then so be it.

After dropping her off at work and gave each other a simple 'goodbye, see you tonight" gesture, Finn was more than ready to get her out of his head, which was perfect because he had tests and exams to study for once her had returned to his classes that morning.

I cannot believe her. She gets it. No way in hell was she even close to getting it. The potential dangers and risks of my job to maintain her safety. Sure, she probably just saw me as a driver, but if any situation became more than that, I had to be prepared to protect her with my life! Ugh! She got it. What a load of crap! Finn felt unable to concentrate almost all day, thinking about those three words she spoke that were just tormenting his mind. At the same time, he also couldn't believe that her words were getting to him as much as they were. Fuck. He needed to get her off his mind.

Addy's day was more or less the same. Balancing sales, expense reports, and finalizing any cases her father sent her way. It was enough to keep her busy for the day, yet she often found her mind wandering off thinking about Finn. He is probably loving it right now… me not talking to him anymore. He doesn't have to deal with my questions or interest. What a JERK! There he was acting like nothing happened, even though I know I know he was loving that kiss! That's what men do, get in and get what they can then just spit a woman out like nothing! Still… Friday night felt so exhilarating with the way he was watching me in the club… he looked so… and then the way he responded to my kiss… ugh, what the hell!? Why did men have to be so complicated!

Through their personal frustrations, they had no choice but to carry on their days as best they could; yet their car situation was something different altogether. Yes, to the common eyes, things would seem business casual between them while Finn picked her up for work and dropped her off in the evening. They both knew better and neither really had the courage to speak about what had happened between them. The next several days of this proved that point spot on. No conversation, no flirting, absolutely nothing between them.

But damn did he ever feel that her silence was suffocating him. He wanted to speak yet just didn't have that nerve to be the first one to admit so. This catch-22 he had going on was really making him crazy. He needed to man up and make a decision—Addy or the job? Sure, he wasn't in any position yet to just give up the job, yet at the same time he really wanted to just be able to talk to her without any complications so their arrangement wouldn't feel so intense. Finn knew that Addy had no idea how serious his job really was and in fact, he was lucky that during the time he was entrusted with protecting her that it had gone off without any complications. Every agent like himself was licensed to carry a gun, and he knew that Addy had no idea that his Glock was in his holster around his waist covered by his suit ready to be used if needed. So to her, he was just some guy who chauffeured her around when in reality he was willing to put his life on the line for her. Did she simply just 'get that?' No. In no way, whatsoever!

Addy was holding her ground with making no small talk during their time together while they drove together to her destinations, while Finn was slowly feeling worse about how things had been left between the two of them. Finally, on the following Thursday, Finn had finally made up his mind that he'd initiate a conversation with her after her work, apologizing and hopefully lead to a time where they could be alone to really talk things over. Was it risky? Yes. But was he planning on keeping it professional? Absolutely. He knew that his job was going to require long hours, so finally swallowing his pride, this was the best choice to make to ensure their relationship. Picking her up that evening, she was expecting to be driven straight home, yet Finn had other plans. Without saying anything, he then pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant called Hillstone, a cozy upscale and elegant establishment.

"Um… Finn? What are we doing here?" Addy asked while their vehicle pulled into the parking lot out front and chose a spot. Without responding, he turned the car off and proceeded out, walking around and opening the door for Addy to step out.

"I want to take you out somewhere so we could talk. Plus, I know you haven't eaten yet. My treat."

Want to talk? Talk about what? Taking me out to dinner? What the heck was going on!? Was this a date!? She was at a loss of words over his gesture, as random as it was. As they walked up to the front doors, Finn courteously opened them for her and she proceeded inside in awe. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quiet with elegant soft music playing, dimmed lights, and the room featuring mostly booths for parties of two. Addy could definitely sense a romantic vibe to the place. The hostess then took Finn's name and led them over to a booth to be seated in. After placing a drink order and received their menus, Finn looked over at Addy across the table from him.

"Is this place to your liking?"

"To my liking!? I think this is all too much! Almost looks like you're taking me out on a date." Addy responded, still feeling overwhelmed that he had taken her to such a place. "All this just looks to be a bit too much just to have a conversation with me."

With a chuckle, Finn grinned. "Sorry, not a date. I wasn't sure the level of elegance you preferred. Your father being one of the most respected and renowned lawyers in the city, I wanted to make sure not to take you anywhere he would disprove of."

"Ugh, my father." Of course, he was always somewhat involved. She could less of what her father thought. "He seems to have full control and influence on everyone these days over me."

"What makes you think that? I'm sure he is only ensuring your safety with his precautions."

Addy looked weary to continue on, but since they were there and Finn was making an effort to talk to her, why not? She was not one to talk very much about her personal life, but looking over at him, she felt different when around him. As the waitress returned with their drinks, she then waited a moment until she took their order and left. "He wasn't always like this, so protective, distant, and acting so high and mighty. A lot changed when my mother passed away six years ago. Even though I was there, he felt completely lost without her. It really changed him. Then four years ago a close business associate of his had his daughter involved in a kidnapping. Since then, I have been on constant watch with a bodyguard. Well, you know. You were one of them back then." She chuckled. "Anyways, things have more or less been the same since then. I hardly see my father but seeing the success he has had over the years, I know he rather protect his assets than let me live a normal life. After graduating from university and working for him, I have more than enough proven myself of what I'm capable of. I've worked hard to get where I am and I've worked more than my fair share of hours to earn the respect and position I hold at the firm. I'm not some spoiled rich kid."

Damn, she sounded incredibly irresistible, which completely changed his view on her then when he thought of her back in her high school and early university years. She really had grown up. Despite her hardships, Addy had really blossomed as a young woman. "I know that sometimes we have to go through hardships which may seem unfair, but I feel that it will lead us to great opportunities and a clean slate. I do remember watching over you a few years back. When the contract was terminated, I honestly felt… displeased that it was over. Despite everything you were going through back then, I am glad to be a part of your services again. I can see much change in you. Older, wiser, and undeniably beautiful."

There wasn't a moment long enough for her to respond as she looked over at him, gazing at his compliment.

"Despite what I think, we must remain professional and platonic. Like I mentioned before, I really need this job. Please don't take offense thinking that the paycheque means more to me than your safety because it doesn't. Since our arrangement, we've had some… inappropriate conversations and contact. To ensure your protection, we must refrain from our proximity. I will do what you request to ensure our relationship remains comfortable."

Looking into his eyes, she could see the sincereness in his look, as well as firmness. He really was doing the best he could under their arrangement and, despite her willingness to break and make him uncomfortable with her casual flirting, he really wanted to make things work. Also, he had admitted that she was beautiful! Yes! He was slowly falling under her 'enticing" spell, as she would call it. "Despite what you think? It kind of sounds like you feel something between us." Following his gaze, Addy then glanced over at his tantalizing hazel eyes looking back at her, yet remaining silent from her last response. Wow, he really had that seductive gaze down. "Finn… I…" Through her casual teasing with him since being together, she could definitely sense something between them. His facial expression looked as if he wanted to say more, but didn't. Because of his job, she knew that he couldn't peruse it. Yet in her mind, that wasn't enough to stop her. Addy slid her hand around the glass of wine, brushing her fingers against his. For a moment, she lingered there, tracing the ridges of his knuckles.

Knowing he should have pulled away, Finn couldn't; feeling the softness of her skin on his and also feeling a need to be closer, clouded his judgment. What was he doing? What was going on? He felt so ultimately weak around her affection. Before allowing anything to proceed, finally, a distraction pulled them both away from each other when their food had arrived. Addy had ordered the roasted chicken while Finn decided on the pan-roasted salmon, enjoying a bottle of DV Catena Tinto Historico Malbec red wine with it. From there on out, she decided to keep their conversation as casual as possible, resisting the temptation of knowing that he may have actual feelings for her. Wow, this was incredible! She was sure that both of them were beginning to feel the same, yet just weren't in the right position to actually admit or confess anything.

Not much more was said as they enjoyed their meals that evening, Finn then paying for the bill after then bringing Addy back home around 7:30 pm. Pulling up out front and turning the vehicle off, Finn noticed lights on, but no cars in the driveway. Looks like Bernard still wasn't home from work yet. He then got out of the car and walked around to Addy's door, opening the door for her to proceed out. "Your father isn't home yet. Is it okay to leave you alone?" He asked, concerned.

"Oh yes. I rarely see the man in the evenings. I cook my own meals and do my own thing till I go to bed. It's nothing new. The alarms are set so if anyone were to break in, the cops would be here in 5 minutes." The tone in her voice clearly suggested she wasn't very much interested nor concerned about the subject that was her father. Their relationship must have become so estranged for her to view him this way. It was a personal matter that Finn had no purpose to question or ask about, so instead, decided to walk her up to her front door.

Addy then turned around to face him and a new awkward moment found them not trying to look at one another directly. "Um… thank you for tonight, Finn."

"You're welcome. I'm hoping that our arrangement from here on out can continue… comfortably?"

With a smile, Addy smiled. Damn, even when he wasn't trying to look sexy, he completely was. How was this going to work when day after day all she could think about was him? In all honestly, even though she didn't know him very well, she wanted nothing more than to be as close to him as possible. Even when Finn had told her that their relationship had to remain comfortable, Addy still wasn't 100% on board with it. Leaning in, she then gave Finn a quick kiss on the cheek before taking a step back.

"You know… if you won't tell, then neither would I…" Addy teasingly spoke, looking up at him when their eyes met in an intense gaze, the soft air crackling between them. Without saying another word, she then turned away, entered the code to disarm the alarm to enter the house, then proceeded inside without looking back at him. Inside, Addy then leaned against the door, her heart pounding while thinking of her last words spoken with him. She really wanted to kiss him again, a moment so full of desire and lust, oh my God, she wished it had happened. No worries though! She knew her chance would come again. Addy wasn't done with Finn Adams. Not yet.

Walking back to the vehicle, Finn's mind was flooded with an abundance of questions and feelings; nothing more than his biggest thought… Fuck!

*************************************************************************************************

The following morning, Finn had arrived back at Addy's home to pick her up for another day of work. Stick to the plan, Finn, stick to the plan. You have to. It's for the best. He felt his head scrambling over how he should conduct himself while seeing Addy approach walking from her home. What the hell was going on? He was a professional and not once has he ever let his guard down on a job, yet alone his feelings. Addilyn was really different. In all honesty, he had never met anyone like her, so sophisticated, intelligent, flirty, and just so damn irresistible. A navy blue pencil skirt complete with a silk black blouse, heels, her usual light makeup, and hair down in a low curl; it was hard for him to look away. Every day she surprised him more with her looks and attire that was just so enticing to look away from. Clearing his throat and removing the thoughts from his mind, he knew that from here on out—their relationship had to remain professional.

She then stepped into the back seat of the vehicle and buckled up. "Good morning, Finn!" She was first to speak, and cheerfully.

"Morning." Was his low tone response as he began to drive off.

"How was your evening?"

"Quiet."

Hmm, okay this was sounding weird, and irritating familiar. Maybe just one more question to test the waters. "So… any plans for this weekend?"

"Not at the moment, Ms. Jones."

Oh, here we go. Was he really going to play that card again with using the least amount of words to avoid conversation? So it seemed that her enticement last night was a no-go and he was going back to how things were before. She understood that. She knew the risks since that was the main reason for their dinner date last night. Wait, no, it wasn't a date. Sure, there were moments that felt so intimate between them, but needless to say, Finn was now trying to act as nothing happened; and Addy wasn't ready to give up. Something inside her wanted to bend those rules.

Did he want to play with fire? Better get ready for the heat! Not only did she didn't respond to his last response, but she also made it clear not to speak anymore. If he wanted to be a dick and seem more concerned with the job and money than her, then so be it! She was ready to see how far he could go without breaking. Arriving at her work, she gave him a simple 'thank you' before exiting the vehicle and slamming the door shut before leaving and proceeding inside her workplace.

Finn felt like an ass for treating her coldly as he did but knew it had to be for the best. She was a client in need of protection and anything more than that could compromise that arrangement. He could instantly tell by her body language that she was upset; heck, he was upset at himself too. His predicament felt too confusing to choose the right path to take – the job, pay, and professional obligation to do the right thing. Yet, on his other hand was the temptation of affection, commitment, and being with someone he felt so attracted to. However, choosing to deepen a relationship with a client that was considered with a non-fraternization contract was risky. Either way, he felt in a very uncertain conundrum. Finn felt worse about how things were left between them, but also knowing it was for the best. It was never a good idea to get involved with a client, despite how he felt about her. Their timing and professions were just too different.

The following week proved just how hard it was to keep everything simple. Addy was still upset at being rejected by him, yet wasn't fully ready to give up. Meanwhile, Finn was doing his best not to engage in any inappropriate conversations that could lead to something more. Day by day, both were feeling weary and quite simply irritated and troubled that nothing more could become of them. What he wouldn't give to hear one of her smartass comments once more.

The next Friday, it had now been a week of their vocal standoff, and Addy held her ground by saying as little as possible. Although feeling displeased about the situation, honestly, she was giving him what he wanted. Finn on the other hand felt her silence almost threatening as the days went by that week. Each day, disregarding her silence, she looked more irresistible and desirable as she left her home and sat in the back of his vehicle driving off to work. Yet unfortunately, that morning, was not like others before it. Finn pulled up to the Jones' household like he had every weekday morning and waited for Addy to come out to be taken to work. After a few minutes, Finn looked in his rear-view mirror to see another vehicle, an expensive Mercedes Mayback SUV. Beyond luxury, it had an easy price tag of two hundred thousand dollars. Who the hell was this? That was his first thought. Bernard had already left for work and Addy was all who remained in the house. Rather than thinking more of it, he turned his head to see the front door open and Addy walked out, yet what surprised him most, was that she wasn't leaving the house alone.

Arms linked with the other, Addilyn left her home with a male acquaintance. He was young, most likely around her age, clean-shaven, had short blonde hair, and was complete in a black business suit. They looked… happy, smiling while they walked up closer to the vehicles. What the hell? Suddenly stopping, she leaned into him whispering, before throwing their heads back in laughter. Finn watched in somewhat shock. Just last week, she was seducing him into a secret relationship, yet today she was waking up and leaving her home with another man!? Well, wasn't this just perfect timing for him. As he continued to watch, Addy then swung him around and embraced him closely, giving Finn uncomfortable ideas. From his view, he couldn't make out what was going on seeing her backside, but his thoughts quickly shifted to them kissing. As they pulled apart, the man walked away and entered the back seat of the Mercedes while Addy continued off to the back seat of Finn's Suburban SUV. Finn gripped the steering wheel with added pressure as she closed the door and buckled herself in.

Without even speaking a word, Finn geared into drive and sped off. He was upset. Well, that was one word to describe it. Truth be told, he was feeling rather jealous of the situation. While he had thoughts of being involved with Addy, this was the main reason why he never got involved. He felt that things with Addy could have been different, for their brief time together proved intense, and desirable. He was speeding in and out of traffic to make it to their destination as fast as he was able to drop her off. Once there, she said goodbye, but like not saying anything on their greeting, he spoke not a word at their farewell, watching as she made her way into her office building.

After dropping her off, Finn proceeded to NYU where he spent most of the day attending two classes while studying in between, for his finals were soon approaching. Yet no matter how much he tried to sway his thoughts away from her, she held such an impact on his judgment.

Addy was much the same with thinking about Finn but from a different perspective. Judging by his behavior and lack of communication, she knew that he was uncomfortable with seeing her with another. Even while she was rather busy at work, without a doubt he crossed her mind when she could think about what had happened and what was to come. At first, she felt rather pleased with herself with the act, yet as the day dragged on, she knew that Finn reacted in a silent angered manner. Deep down, she didn't really want to mess with him on a level of udder discomfort since he was there to do his job; yet on the other hand, Addy felt very embarrassed to be rejected by him. Well, either way, they thought about it, the deed was done. Time to move on!

For Finn, the bad thing about being angry when behind the wheel was the offensive driver in him came out. That evening when picking Addy up from work, the same amount of anger boiled inside him as from the morning seeing her with another. They greeted one another before taking off speeding down the streets, enraged, which Addy sensed was from their last encounter from the morning.

Trying to distract herself from his god-awful driving, Addy then pulled out her phone and called up one of her friends. "Hey, Katie! What's up girl? Yeah, I'm on my way home now. That is if my crazy driver doesn't get us into a full throw accident where I'm thrown from the car in a fiery wreck of tangled fiberglass and metal, which would have my blood-covered body crushed under thousands of pounds of automobile where I eventually die bleeding out in the middle of the road!" She spoke that second half quite clear so that Finn would acknowledge and calm the heck down with his road rage and hopefully start driving like a sensible person. "Are we all set for tomorrow night? Yeah. Mace cocktail bar in Manhattan. 8:00 pm!" Laughing, she rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes, he will be there. I'll see you and Leslie then!" Hanging up, Addy then grabbed hold of the door handle as she left Finn take a hard left before continuing on.

"You know those driving lessons they offer at the DMV, Finn? The ones that keep you from driving like a full-blown lunatic and killing us!? Yeah, that might be worth looking into again for you!"

Smartass. Finn began to control his breathing while finally slowing down the closer he got to her home. He hadn't spoken a word during their whole ride, which made her decide not to push him further seeing how upset he was that day—for whatever reason. Finn wasn't so easy to just let this go through. Not after everything she had put him through since being hired for her protection. Pulling up to the house, he then shifted the vehicle in park and raised his arm over his seat, and looked back at Addy as she opened her door. "Last stop, Princess." He spoke, narrowing his eyes at her.

Her head then snapped up. Oh, he did not just go there. "I'm not a fucking princess!" She replied, glaring back at him.

"Oh no? Could have fooled me."

"Whatever, dick!" Addy then stepped out of the SUV and slammed the door shut behind her.

Finn then stepped out as well and walked over towards her. "Yeah, whatever. I guess that is your usual way of treating people? You got a boyfriend sucking face with in the morning, but can't help yourself by trying to seduce the hired help, huh? I bet that gives you some kind of thrill."

What!? She stopped and turned around to face him, fuming. "I did not try to seduce you! Who do you think you are!? Your the one who had to take me out just to say that you couldn't be involved with me! I think it was all on you!" Addy seethed at him.

"Really? Sure. I make it a habit to hit on my clients. You've just been so high and mighty to give me the time of day, princess. What's wrong? Afraid to get your hands dirty by slumming it with a poor university boy?"

"You. Are. INSANE!" Addy hissed, trying to walk away.

Finn followed her lead, right behind. "Yeah. That's the word around here, princess." He continued, walking around her, knowing he was pushing it too far by this point.

Addy then stopped and turned around to face him one on one. "Who the hell do you think you are? I want you? Fuck you! You would be so lucky to be with someone like me!" She argued, standing her ground while hissing, her chin rising up in defiance.

Finn was impressed, seeing her holding her ground, and glowering at him. But he was sure to make his point that no one would talk to him that way. She was such a carefree spirit, such a spitfire of intrigue. Within seconds and without thinking, Finn reached out and grabbed her arm, jerking her closer and pulling her roughly against him, his mouth meeting with hers.

Addy at first tried to pull away with minimum effort before his tongue slid between her lips. It only took seconds for her to surrender to his touch, a low moan coming from her throat. Oh my God, he loved that sound. Her hands moved up, fingers tangling in his hair as she pulled his face closer to hers, kissing him fervently. They felt and fit so perfectly together, her soft curves molding into his hard angles, and he felt the lust pounding through his veins. Damn, she loved the way he kissed, the feel of his mouth on hers. His hard body against her as he clutched her tightly. Wow. This just made her melt. Despite how their relationship was, it was easy to tell that both wanted one another.

Damn, wait a minute. What was she doing? He's been a quiet asshole to her all week and she was rewarding him by throwing herself at him? Fuck NO!

Addy then broke herself away, pushing him off her while they breathed heavily, lips swollen from their kiss. Suddenly to his surprised, her eyes looked down on him seriously. "This!" she spits out, moving her finger pointing from him and back toward herself several times quickly. "This is SO not happening! I'm not going through this shit again just to have you ignore me! No way!" Swiftly turning around, she stomped away while he watched her disappear into the house.

Crap, that didn't go too well. Him ignore her? Damn. It was then that Finn knew he was in over his goddammed head.
