Chapter 14: My Breakdown

I finally was healed up and was able to go home. I thanked all of them and left for home. Loki and Spirit were both walking me home. Just to be safe.

We finally got home and I thanked my brother for his help and gave him a hug. "You know Spirit." Then he looked at me. "You look really handsome in your human form. Although your wolf form is pretty too like dads but I think your handsome too. You have time but in the future you should get a girlfriend. Maybe in the future I'll introduce you to someone. Hehe. "Ok sis enough please." "OK OK I will. Have a safe trip home." "I will. See you sis." Then he left back to mom and dad.

"Oh Crap I forgot to aske him something. I guess I'll ask when I can see them again. I wanted to know why it was so quiet that day I got passed out in the forest." "Its ok Akela. You have time. You need to rest now." Said Loki. "Yes Loki." "Uncle we're home!" "Akela! Your back!" "Yes auntie I'm back. Sorry to scare you all." "Leo was calm about the situation. "How do you feel now Akela?" said Leo. "Uh physically I'm fine. Mentally not so much. Don't worry it won't interfere with school and recuperating at home." "That's good to know. If there is anything we can help with let us know OK?" "Yes uncle I will." "OK then you should get some rest. You can go back to school on Monday." "Ok uncle." It was already Friday. The last day of the week. So uncle is giving me 3 days to recuperate since that is more than enough time to heal. I went back in my room and got my letter out. After I looked at the letter once more I put it under my pillow to keep it safe and because it just makes my mental state worse.

While I was reading a book for awhile I heard a knock (Knock Knock) "Who is it?" "Its loki. Can I come in?" "(Sigh.) Yeah come on in." I still had my nose in my book when he came to sit next to me in my bed. "Are you really ok?" "Huh what do you mean?" "I know you are physically ok but mentally." "I will deal. I just have to get over it. Its fine." "Is it what you and Xexes talked about?" "Well part of it yes. Like I said I will be fine." "Well if you feel up to telling me what is stressing you out let me know ok? In fact tomorrow I'm going to take you somewhere." "Is it somewhere we have been before?" "Yes it is. It should help you calm down." "I think I know where. I like that place. Sometimes when your off doing something I walk over there because I have to think. It helps me think better about things." "Ok. Get some rest ok. Finish reading you two chapters first and get to sleep." "So you knew huh?" "Uh yeah." "OK OK I promise." Then he left and I finished my two chapters and rested. About an hour they went to check on her and she was still sleeping.

"Uncle. I tried to ask her what happened. When we were there she was with Kiba's brother Xerxes. She was alone because she had to say some stuff. That is what is causing her to mentally be unhealthy. What should I do?" "About that." Before he could say anything Orion's brother Akela's uncle came in. "Hello everyone." "Oh its you. What do you want Kira?" "I don't want anything. I just came to see how my niece was." "Oh she's asleep right now. We just checked on her." Said Leo. "Are you sure? Her father was like this too. After mom checked on him he escaped. You better go make sure." Leo and Loki ran to her room and saw she wasn't there. "How did you….wait did you see her or something?" said Loki "Yeah that too. But what I told you about her dad was true too." Said Kira. "Did she say where she was going?" Said Loki worriedly. "No. But I assume you do. Go after her kid. Don't worry about what's botherin her. She will tell you when she is ready. Don't worry knowing her I'm sure it will be soon enough." "Thank you Kira." "Yeah sure. Now go." Then Loki rushed out of the house and headed out. \

Before he headed to the place he was going to take her, he decided to check her parents house. He barged in saying, "Is she here?! Is Akela here?!" "Woah slow down Loki and breathe." Said Onyx. He took deep breaths and calmed down. "Sorry. Akela snuck out of the house. Something was really buging her. I assume that is why she left. If she is not here I know where she is." "Who said she wasn't here?" Said Spirit. "Then is she here?" "Weeelll yes. She doesn't want to see anyone at the moment. She is curled up in her wolf form in her room right now. We have tried to get her to talk but nothing." "I see. May I try?" Loki looked up at Luna and Onyx. Then Onyx looked at Luna. Luna nodded. "On one condition. If she fights you just let her be ok? Yes we know she is stubborn but please do what you can to help her." Said Onyx. "Yes sir thank you." So Loki went in to help.

(Knock Knock) "Go away. I don't want to talk to anybody." I said. "Its me. Loki." "Loki? Is that really you?" "Yes. Can I come in?" "Yes I guess so." He was the first person she had let in so it was progress. "Hey. Is what is happening with you really that bad?" I nodded cause I didn't want to say anything yet. "Come here Akela." In fact he went over there and tried to cuddle with her. He turned to his wolf form to be with her in hers. Akela cuddled up to Loki. "Is this better?" "Yeah thanks." Then I started crying. "I can't take this anymore Loki. I just can't. If another one of my loved ones dies or gets hurt by a werewolf no matter who it is I won't be able to take it much longer. Here I want you to read my letter. I can't look at it right now. I know he was saying it to try to be my dad. If I was in my right mind I would probably agree. But right now I can't I am not in my right mind." He turned human and read the letter. "I see so this must be the hidden letter your mom was talking about?" "Yes it is." "Does your mom Know?" "No. She just thinks I'm here wallowing over something and not know why." "I see. I read the letter but what does this has to do with anything?" "If I tell you, you will probably blame Kiba when he had nothing to do with it." "Akela I haven't done that since we were 10 just tell me and I will tell you what I think. I promise I won't blame anyone that doesn't deserve it." I nodded then I told him what was on my mind. "Oh I see. So he was the one that killed your father and Xerxes was the one that attacked you back then." "Yes that is what happened." "Hmm. I think there might need to be some investigating to find out for sure. If he really is the guy then we can talk to him together. How does that sound?" "Thank you Loki." "I told you to call on me when you needed help Akela." I turned human as well and hugged him tight. He hugged me back.

"Are you ok now?" "I'm not fully ok but I feel better now that I shared it with someone I know that was close." "That's good." He hissed me on the forehead then on the lips. It was getting deeper then we stopped. We were at my parents house an anyone could walk in on us. "Ok Akela. Ready to go talk to your parents about what is going on?" "(Sigh) I-I guess so. Be there with me?" "Of course I will." "Thanks." So we walked out to where mom dad and the others were.

"Sorry to worry everyone." I said. "Akela! I was so worried about you! Said Azula. She is a year younger than me. She helps the younger ones. "I'm ok Azula. Hey can I talk to mom dad and Loki alone?" "Yes go ahead." Said Azula. "Ok thanks." So we walked to my side of the den and a took a deep breath and exhaled. I held Loki's hand and tightened mine on his and he did the same. I looked at him and nodded. I took the note out of my pocket and showed mom.

"I see you have found the letter that your birth father sent you. Is this why you are breaking down right now?" "Part of it." "Then can you tell us what is on your mind Akela?" said dad. "Yes I plan to." Then I told them what I told Loki.

"I see. So Loki you said you were going to investigate it right? How exactly are you going to do that?" said mom. "I have my ways aunt Luna. I promise I will be careful. Don't worry I won't get Akela involved in it. Well I don't plan on it but if she sneaks out she will have to be part of it." "Hehe Yeah I know. She got that from both her fathers and me." "Is that so? Uncle did you do that too?" Looking embarresed he said, "Yes before I met Luna I did." "Uncle you are a grown man." "Hey now. I had my reasons." "Yeah yeah excuses excuses." Then I chuckled a bit. "There is that smile Akela. You look beautiful when you smile." "Thanks Loki. Thanks father. Mom I'm sorry I took the letter." "Its fine. Your father wanted me to give it to you eventually. He said if anything were to happen to him I should give it to you. We just didn't expect him to die so soon." Said Mom. "I'm sorry dad is this hurting your feelings?" "No this is normal. Its ok. I know your mom loves me and I love her you and all the kids we have. That is all that matters right Luna?" "Yes thankyou" Then they hugged and me and Loki hugged.

"Are you heading back now?" said Luna. "Yes mom we are. I will be back next weekend to visit." "Ok be careful out there ok?" said Dad. "I will dad. Thanks." So Loki took me home.

We got home and I said "Uncle I'm home." Leo and Aqua came running over. "Are you ok?!" Aqua came over worriedly. "I'm fine Auntie. You shouldn't get too stressed. Its not good for the babies." "Yes I know. Then don't give me something to worry about young lady." "Sorry auntie. I'm really ok. I just need to rest." "Yes ok we will call you when dinner is done ok?" "Yes auntie thanks." "You can do whatever Loki. I'm actually going to sleep." "OK then. Don't sneak out ok?" "I won't I promise." "Ok we will check on you in an hour ok Akela?" "Yes uncle." So I went to bed and this time I didn't sneak out.

About an hour later they went to check on Akela to make sure she was ok and still there. Loki cracked the door and saw she was still asleep so he walked over to make sure she was ok. "Hey Akela. Dinner is almost done." He rubbed her head trying to wake her. "Hmm. Loki?" "Yes its me. Dinner is almost done." "Oh is it? What is it?" "Well you say its your favorite human food so." "Oh really? Did they make Rice and eggs?" "Yes but you have to remember to eat your veggies too." "Argh I know I will do my best." So Loki helped me out of bed. I had some sweatpants and sweatshirt on since it was getting colder and it was comfortable.

"Hi auntie and uncle. Oh uncle Kira. Hello." "Hey there how are you feeling?" "Better. Thanks uncle. Oh uncle after dinner can I talk to you for a bit? Alone." "Yeah sure are you ok?" "Yeah I will be soon enough." "OK then sure." So we ate our dinner and I ate half my veggies and was full as my excuse was. "Ok then at least you ate your veggies go on." "Thanks uncle Leo."

We went to my room and I said, "Uncle what would you do if you found out the true identity of the werewolf that killed dad?" "I don't know why do you ask?" "No reason that is why I asked." "Well I haven't really thought about it. I probably wouldn't be in my right mind and do it backwards where I beat him up first and ask questions after." "What if he had lost his wife back then and he had to take care of the kids himself. What if he wasn't in his right mind at the time and attacked anything in his sight?" "That still doesn't give them the right to kill someone. He should have locked himself in his room until he calmed down like a certain someone who just did." I guess Loki told you about my situation. "No he just told me you locked yourself in your room about and had a breakdown about something." "Oh I found the letter mom hid from me. at the end of the letter it said something about you. You can read the whole thing if you want but I wanted you to really read what dad had to say to you." "I will focus on that part and probably read the letter." So I gave him the letter and he read it.

After he read it, it was quiet for a few minutes. No one spoke. Then finally Uncle Kira spoke. "Akela? Thank you for this. Now I probably know what he would have told me on his deathbed. I know he wasn't when he wrote this but he probably would have told me this anyway." I saw my uncle tear up a bit then I went over and hugged him. "Its ok Uncle. When we talked about the letter with mom she did the same thing. Even with dad with us." "I see. It would be hard on your mom. They were lovey dovey in public before you were born. Once you were born they took you around in a baby stroller and were that way again. They were so much in love." "I can see dad doing that. If dad and mom were together back then I would probably have to hide my eyes saying eww as a little girl. I still had to do it when mom was with dad even if it was in wolf form its not any different. Although I did feel left out because I thought I was the only human. Then when I found out mom and Loki can turn I didn't feel left out again." "Well that's good." "Oh and the reason I asked Is because…..Now don't try to stop him ok?" "I will do my best what is going on?" "Ok Loki is going to investigate who killed dad." "What? Does he know how dangerous that is?!" "Yes uncle. Please don't stop him he is doing it for me. For my dad. Your brother and moms husband." "(Sigh) since you put it that way maybe I will even join him." "Really? I would feel better. Thanks Uncle. Let me know what the results are ok?" "Yes we will." Then we went back to join the others.
