Chapter 24: Continuing the investigation part (2)

While they chased after her Kira was with Sam trying to figure out who the man was and why he looked like Orion. He looked identical to him. He looked to be the age Orion would be if he were alive.

Meanwhile Loki and Xerxes finally caught up to Akela. "Stop it! Leave me alone! I need to be alone. Please." I said in tears. Loki ran over to her and hugged her. Xerxes stayed by her side too. "Why Loki? Why does that man look like my father? Even though he is older than my father I can still see fathers face. I don't know what to do Loki. What should I do? I'm just so scared and confused. I may not have known my father but I have seen pictures of him. Here is a picture of him Xerxes. I also have seen him when I almost died that one time. Why? Just who is that man?" "I don't know Akela. Whoever he is we will find out. However long it takes we will. Then we will take care of it from there ok?" I cried some more until I started to calm down a bit.

"Sorry I got you wet from my tears." "Its all good. It will dry. Should we head back over?" "No not until they find out who he is. I don't want to be there and see my fathers face on that man." "Ok then. I will stay with you. Xerxes go to Kira and see what is going on over there. Once they find out who that man is you can come by and let us know. Don't have him in Akela's site ok?" "Ok Loki." Xerxes ruffled my hair and ran out. "How are you feeling now Akela?" "Tired. From all of my crying. I know i['m a crybaby. I'm sorry." "Haha. Its ok. Girls are more of crybabies then men are." "Hey now." "Well its true isn't it? I'm not saying we don't cry just we are less of crybabies depending on how sensitive a man is."

Back with Kira and the others the man was just waking up. "Ow. Sam why did you have to go and do that? You didn't need to do it that hard. I'm not young anymore. Jeeze." Said the man. "Who are you? How do you know my name. Why do you look like Orion?" "What do you mean why do I look like him? I am him?" said the man. "No that is not possible. He died when Akela was a baby." "Yeah I thought I was a goner." "If you are really Orion who was Akela's mother?" "Her mother is or was Luna. Her birth mom anyway. How is she doing?" "She's fine. She is remarried with 8 kids. All wolves at first as they got older most of them turned human except for a few. Lets see oh yeah who am i?" "You are my brother Kira. I see you haven't remarried didn't I have the letter say for Akela to tell you that in the letter?" "Oh my god! Brother! How are you alive?! Where have you been for 17 years?!" "Its been that long already huh?" "Yeah it has. Well since you are I have Akela with me. Xerxes go get Loki and Akela let them know what is going on ok?" "Yeah sure." So he ran and they talked a little bit.

"Akela! Loki! Shocking news!" He finally got to the cave where they stayed and he said, "Ok you have to be prepared to hear this Akela. So take a deep breath ok?" I did just that. Then he said, "The man who looks like your father is your father." "What?!" said me and Loki and unison. "wait how can that be? Dad died when I was a baby." "He said he wants to see you. He will tell us all about it when we all get together ok?" I was still in shock probably pale. I wasn't feeling to good. "Akela. Are you ok?" said Xerxes. Loki looked at me too. "Oh no looks like she's going to puke. Luckily Loki moved in time. Xerxes wasn't close enough to her. Loki carried her out so she can finish puking.

He carried Akela to a tree so she could finish. When she was finally done she said, "I feel a little dizzy and tired." "That's to be expected from the shock. "Are you sure about this Xerxes?" "Kira seems to thing so. The man knew who those two were and about the letter Akela and Luna." "Sigh anybody can find out these things. Luna and Akela will know for sure." Said Loki. "Well whenever you are ready I will meet you all there." "Ok thanks for the news Xerxes." "Yeah thanks" I said. So he left back over and we stayed by the tree for a bit. "Let me know when you are ready to head over ok?" I nodded. "If I went over could you carry me? With being dizzy I don't think I would make it." "Yeah sure. Lets go." He picked me up and we headed over. She passed out on the way.

They finally made it to where everyone was. Loki was shocked. He was still carrying Akela. He laid her down next to Kira. "She's fine. Just passed out from the shock. She may have a slight fever." Said Loki. "I'm sorry for shocking you all like this. I will tell you part of it. The reason I was gone for so long was because I had amnesia. When I told the people I was staying with I wanted to wander and find my memories they agreed. I told them not to expect me back." Said Orion. "When I came upon this place I had a splitting headache and fell. I cut myself pretty good on one of the rocks. That's why you saw blood there." Orion rubbed Akela's hair and loki watched that he didn't hurt her. "My poor baby. I'm so sorry I wasn't with you all this time. Its all my fault." Then he kissed her on the forehead. "You really are Orion aren't you?" said Loki. "I can tell just by how much you care. Only a father can have that much affection for their daughter. Nice to meet you. I'm Loki. I was adopted by the elder. I am your daughters Fiance and we will be getting married in 6 months. Oh and I am Luna's nephew my parents were killed. Before Luna knew I was around I was already adopted by the elder." "I see. Nice to meet you to Loki. But why get married so soon?" "Lets talk about that when things are settled. Right now we have to figure out what to do. By the way Orion. If you really are him, can I see the scars you had when you were on your deathbed?" "Oh yeah." He lifted his shirt. "Damn. "Hmm. Loki?" "Yeah I'm here Akela. Your ok. Uncle and Xerxes are here too. There is someone who wants to see you." I slowly sat up and saw the man again. "Are you really my father?" "Yes I am. You really do look like me. The face anyway the hair and skin and eyes are your moms." "Your scars dad. I'm so sorry you had to go through that." I went over and gave my father a huge hug. "Well I guess we don't have to investigate anymore." Said Xerxes. "Not true. We need to find out why he was attacked." "No need." Said Orion. "I know why I was attacked. I see you are wearing my necklace Akela. You can keep it. It's a pretty blue. Mine is green. Akela give it here a minute." I took off the necklace and handed it to my father. Once it was in his hand it turned an emerald green. "Woah pretty." I said. Then he gave it back to me. "That was the reason I was attacked I think. As to who did it, it could have been anyone. I just weren't expecting them to make a surprise attack." "Oh father. I'm so glad. When I went to your headstone I cried. I wanted to know what you sounded like and meet you face to face. I wanted you to be there for my wedding. Now you can. I'm just so happy. Also Loki and I have been staying with your friend Leo. He and Aqua are married with two 1 year olds at home. Orion and Luna. She named the boy in memory of you. Of course she asked me first." "Aw that's sweet of them. If you are want me to be at your wedding I will be happy to." "Dad when we get home you have to see mom right away. We will help you find a place to stay." "No need Akela. My little brother can stay with me." "Are you sure Kira? I don't want to impose." "Nah its fine. I'm used to it." "Haha yeah you would be idiot brother." "Hehe you two were close weren't you?" "Yeah we were inseparable growing up. Anyway should we head back now?" said Orion. "Yeah since you are alive we can take you to the station another day. Lets wait until things calm down first." Said Kira.

We headed home. As we were walking I told him about my powers and how I am ill to why we are getting married quicker. About mom my 7 siblings and everything that happened so far. "Wow you have gone through a lot haven't you?" "Yeah I have. I'm just so glad your alive dad. I never knew you but I always had this empty part of my heart. Now its filled again. Thank you for surviving." He hugged me and I hugged him back. Loki looked at them with envy since both his parents are gone. Then he remembered his time with the elder wasn't bad.

"When we get closer to Leo's we are going to head to your mom and Onyx house ok?" said Kira. "Yeah uncle." "Oh I will be heading home when we get to the forest. You all have fun." "OK we will when we get there."

We finally made it to the forest closer to our homes and Xerxes headed home and our group headed for the den.

"Mommy!" "Oh Akela. What are you doing here?" "I have a surprise for you outside. You won't believe it! Close your eyes I will hold your hand." "OK then." She closed her beautiful blue eyes and followed her daughter. "OK on the count of 3 open them ok?" "OK honey." "1….2….3 Open your eyes." Mom looked around until she saw someone she couldn't believe. "No way! Orion?" "Yes its me. I see Onyx took good care of you." "Yes he did." Mom went over and hugged him too. "I can't believe you are alive! What happened? We thought you were dead!" "I want to wait until things calm down then I will tell everyone. I want the family together before I tell anyone. Is Onyx around?" "Yeah hang on. Come on in make yourselves at home." "I'm going to head back Luna." "Ok Kira. Thank you." "Hey little brother. Go to Leo's after this I will pick you up later." "Ok sure." So Kira left and it was Loki me mom and….dad. Then Onyx finally came out.

"Its true you are alive. Good to see you are alive. What happened?" "Well all that I will say right now is I had amnesia after I woke up. I really thought I was a goner. Then someone found me when I was on the brink of death and helped me. when I woke up I realized I didn't even know who I was or anything I was a blank slate. When I wondered into that special place we stayed at Luna my memory came back. I remembered our daughter and you. Sam knocked me out and carried me to where Kira Xerxes and these two were. They were investigating my murder I guess. The necklace that Akela wears is why I was attacked. I didn't think it was be a surprise one." "Mom I told dad how my life was so far. I told him when I first had to leave for the human village and how I met uncle." "Hehe I bet he was shocked on how you met uncle. You were being reckless and hurt yourself." "Hehe. So we stayed a few hours then we headed back to Leo's.

"Leo were home. We got a surprise for you. Both." Said Loki. Then I said, "Both of you sit on the couch and close your eyes." "Ok then." Said Aqua. Leo did the same. We had dad sit on the couch ahead of them. I sat next to him and Loki sat in a recliner chair. "OK on the count of 3 you will open your eyes ok?" They both nodded. Me and Loki counted together. "1….2….3…. Leo Aqua open your eyes." They opened their eyes and saw a man before them. "No way! Is that really?" "Yes Leo its really dad." "Oh my god!" Said Leo. He went over and punch dad in the arm. "You idiot! We thought you were dead for 17 years! What the hell happened?!" "Relax Leo. Dad had amnesia." "What?" Then dad explained what he told me. "I see. Well I should thank the people that saved you. Lets see those scars." He lifted his shirt and showed them. "Damn! Lucky man." "Good to see you two finally tie the knot. Where are your kids?" "I'll go get them." Said Leo. "OK sure." He went in the kids room and got them.

"Orion and Luna." "Aw they are so cute." They saw men and Loki and ran over. I picked up Orion and Loki picked up Luna. "Orion got attached to me and Luna to Loki." I said. "Haha I see that." "I call Leo uncle Leo and Aqua Auntie since they took us in. I didn't get to finish school so I just did the work at home and was able to gradutate." "Oh well that's good."
