Alert: Rhy has started a duel with Cedrick of the Golden Key

"Brother!!!!" The words rang through the office as we charged into the small wooden room. Celdrick was sitting behind his desk, his hands on top of some paperwork. His eyes closed as he smiled. It was ominous and calculating.

"Well well is that any way to address your dear brother? My my Avon you need to learn your manners all that fighting must have dulled your etiquette.

"What do you want, you bastard?!?!" Avon's hands slammed into the desk, Celdricks pen falling over spilling ink over the desk.

"Well now I see you're still hung up on our last conversation."

"Damn it, tell me just what do you want with my friends?!"

"Haha straight to business, well my offer was genuine, now it is at least at first I wanted to see who had gotten my little brother to start clearing gates but after meeting your friend here I am interested."

"But why I already turned you down! Why do you think this time would be any different?"

"Well it's been three years dear brother I hoped you had grown but clearly I was wrong. I hoped your new friends would be able to show you the opportunity this is but again clearly I was wrong. You constantly disappoint me brother."

"Damn you. But fine." Avon's head hung down his hair covering his eyes and his teeth were gritted like in the tavern.

"Now then Rhy was it? I believe we have other matters to attend to?"

"Yeah, now I really want to kick your ass!" this human, this damn human. How can he treat his brother like that. I need to beat him. I need to show Avon he's wrong.

"Wow such youthful passion and mixed with your smarts, I see why my brother chose to follow you. I have a dueling ring outside if you're interested?"

"No, I know somewhere more appropriate."

We all walked through the town in utter silence. We walked until we arrived at the arena where me and Avon had spent our days fighting. We both walked into the middle of the arena.

"This might get heated so I will put up a barrier if you don't mind."

"Sure It'll let me go all out."

"Such confidence? Even though I'm two ranks above you?"

Observers started to crowd around the arena, soon there was a huge crowd to see the face down of rhy the unbeatable sword flight an SS rank adventurer. Chaaya ran out of the tavern pushing her way to the front of the crowd. A purple barrier towered above us.

'Alert: Rhy has started a duel with Cedrick of the Golden Key - duel rules will now be applied. If your Hp drops below 1 you will not be killed and stepping outside the ring will constitute a loss. Killing your opponent will result in loss of respiratory organs'

It had started.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Conjure" '

My sword and armour flew to me accompanied by a spear and a set of daggers that I set on the ground behind me. I then turned my attention to Cedrick. He was wearing a long cloak with embroidery and red fabric. He had small circular glasses that he pushed up his nose with his left hand. His right was stuffed neatly into his pocket. He was wearing a shirt and tie with grey trousers. He didn't have any armour on. I charged forward my sword close to my chest and swiped at him. He jumped out of the way effortlessly dodging my attack. Flames spluttered out of his hand jumping from his delicate fingers as they roared blazing with a bright fury. The flames swept out of his hand like a blanket effortlessly attacking me. I ran out of the way running up the side of the barrier. Then jumping off I dived down to the ground and my sword extended. He simply lifted his left hand, flames charged out of his hand erupting up into the sky swallowing me like a monster swallowing a helpless human. I wasn't helpless though.

'Alert: Skill activated - "smash" '

The flames dissipated from the wind as I punched. I continued down my sword aiming for his head. A look of surprise flashed over his face. Then returning to his calm demeanor, he stepped back and flames rocketed from his right heel, his foot jumping into the air and kicking me in the stomach. I arced through the air. Crashing into the ground.

"Well that was unexpected but you are still too weak, a shame." I pushed off my sword standing up.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Demonic stare" '

I stared into his eyes, pure rage spilling out of me.

"Wow what an inhuman look, you look like a true summon now mindless and monstrous. Hahaha"

He walked forward, his left arm smashing into me as I was pushed across the field. I'm not done yet! I can't be! I need to hit him at least once! I screamed my entire body pulsating as I dashed forward my speed accelerating, the floor disappearing under me as I ran. My speed was unimaginable. I couldn't have fathomed this kind of speed back on earth. I threw my sword at Celdrick, the blade shimmering in the sun as I jumped onto it jumping high into the air.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Conjure" '

My sword reappeared in my hand as I dove down into the flames. They were closing in but I charged through them the red wall burning me. I screamed mostly in pain but also anger. I kept going through the air bursting out of the cloud of red flames and down onto the mage. His face shouted annoyance and caution. My blade almost met his head. He smiled. His right hand moved to his head in a blur glowing red like molten lava. When it connected with my sword it melted right through the blade. My sword glowed red from the fire but I kept slicing through my sword, met his shirt and pushed down cutting down his torso, a red line cutting down his chest blood leaking out.

"Why you little! Maybe I was too soft on you."

I jumped back and summoned another sword lifting it to a ready stance. Celdrick walked forward with his left hand clutching his body and his right hand extended to the right glowing a terrifying red, the air around it shimmering and morphing as flames burnt out of his hand, his cloak thrashing at the air to the left of him. A huge and brilliant fire burning like a pillar igniting the air. The barrier cracked and shattered as he advanced. My instincts yelled at me to run but something deep inside me said something very different. It told me to kill. To cut to mutilate to murder.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Violent rampage" '

I squared down my opponent six bright lines showing themselves to me. I hunched my back, opening my mouth like a beast baring its fangs.

"Sir!" A voice pierced the intense concentration. "Sir, you need to stop the area is going to be destroyed at this point. Please stop!"

We both stopped in our tracks realising what had happened.

"My my I am sorry Rhy I seem to have gotten carried away, let us call this a draw and continue it another day."

"Right, I look forward to seeing you in a fortnight."

"That means you accept? well brilliant. I will see you soon Rhy, I am sorry I called you weak because well." He pointed to his bleeding chest as he was dragged away by a subordinate, still smiling that evil smile.
