Alert: Rhy has opened an S-rank gate

A few weeks have passed since I joined the Golden Key. Grinding the A rank gates has been easy with so many allies but I can't level up anymore. A week ago I reached level eighty five but ever since I haven't gained any levels, only fighting the floor monsters is easy but It doesn't earn me very much XP. I need to take out a boss but I'm not strong enough. Ideally I'd have another event that would let me level up again but honestly that'd be too good to be true. My only chance is to slowly and steadily get to level one hundred and then maybe I can take on a boss.

"Hey Rhy wake up, will you!"The big man was lumbering towards me, raiden.

I hardly spoke to anyone in that party, they all annoyed me and I don't trust any of them. I walked past him and walked up to the gate.

"Well go on then!" Raiden shoved me and Chaaya into the gate, the S….. rank ...?!?!?!?!?!?! This isn't possible. I'm not ready for s. But at least Celdrick can help. The gate slammed behind us. We were all alone.

I stood up laying flat faced in the dirt, I looked up to see a huge figure, it was towering above us. The horns? The giant? It was the same monster I faced in the path test! How? I thought that was A rank?! This isn't possible! The footsteps thudded forward as the huge monster loomed over me. But unlike before I didn't feel that same terror, I didn't shake. I stood up facing the monster that had haunted me for so long.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Conjure" '

My sword fell to my hands, this won't be like last time. I rushed up the side of the monster's leg, my sword scraping across the toughened skin screaming as I charged.

I pushed off the monster's knee. I was at least two stories up. The goliath stared down at me as its hand cleaved through the air.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Dragon wing" '

I spiralled to the side, the wind blasting me away like a fly. I flew up to the clouds, my sword dragging behind me as I reached the giant's shoulder. I landed on its shoulder. The view was all too familiar. I rushed forward, tightly gripping my sword. I swung at the giant slashing at the grey skin. My sword bouncing off the steel skin like a shield. I thrashed and smashed at the skin sparks flying with each hit. Dammit! Why aren't I cutting it? This things defence is insane. I must have been smashing…. Right! His skin is like stone. I can't cut it, I need to smash it. I jumped back, my wings forming behind me as I dodged a slap from the giant, his giant hand smashing into his shoulder like he was swatting an insect.

My fist glowed red as I poured one hundred mana points into it, the red gauntlet swallowing my fist and arm. I soared towards the giant, my arm pulsating as I thrust it forward smashing it into the giant's chest, my hand flying into the skin smashing through the chest plate, my body flew through the monster's chest like an arrow crushing its heart, a dark blue blood spilling out. As I emerged from the fight my hands stained with blood and blistered from attacking I looked out onto the gate in horror. In the intensity I hadn't seen. I hadn't looked out to see. Touching the clouds, their heads scraping the sky were about ten Giants. My heart raced as I dropped to the sky. My head pounded and jumped. It was like someone had just hit me with a hammer.

I put my skill points into strength and ran back to Chaaya who was looking up in awe at the giant. His towering corpse, kneeling. A dark blue hole pierced through its chest. Rivers flowing down its body like a waterfall of inhuman blood.

"How? When did you get that powerful. What happened to the guy who nearly died every time he fought? How the hell did you kill an S-rank monster?"

"I'll tell you one day but for now we need to get out of here."

I turned back to the giants, four were staring at the body and then at me. I drew my sword and my wings sprouted from my back as ran my legs slamming into the ground I jumped up into the air spinning and opening my wings I lifted into the sky

My fist burned as I plummeted down charging into the first giant, my fist rising into its chin as my hand slammed into the gigantic chin, the giant lifting off its feet as I rocketed up pushing past the clouds. Flying back down I charged into the second giant, my fist glowing and I pressed down into it's head crushing its skull and pushing its feet down into the ground. My mana was gone but I kept going soaring to the third giant,

my fist slamming into its cheek. The giant vered to the left, my fist slamming through its mouth.

behind me a giant's hand punched me into the ground, my back smashing into the dirt as I fell and carving through the terrain my body like a plow running through a field, up tuning the ground. I finally stopped sitting in a heap of dirt, my head burning. I stood up lifting my aching body out of the shallow hole.

'Master Chaaya used skill - "heal" '

My Health rose slowly, just above one hundred. I couldn't survive another attack like that. I scrambled in the dirt shifting my weight into my legs as I pushed off the dirt, the earth exploding behind me as I charged forward hugging the ground sweeping over the destroyed plains. Charging up to the fourth giant's leg, my fist smashing into its leg breaking through its shin. The giant lurched forward falling into the ground. I flew up above him and dived down into its back alamming my fist back down to the earth pushing down its spine as I broke its back, my red fist burning with pain as I dropped to the ground, my wings vanishing. Behind me.

I did it! How did I do it? What the hell happened. My heart rate was going into overdrive, my entire body pounding with the rhythm of my heart, my head shaking and burning. I'm so tired. I haven't fought like that in a while. I turned my head to the sky staring at the six looming figures staring down at me.
