Chapter four

And the truth came to light, princess Ruth started confessing how her newly wedded husband had deceived her, and on the other hand, Nicholas denied the accusations.

Nicholas tried defending himself by saying that he was not aware of the king's eating habits and could not have known his favorites.

No one listened to them but the people shouted saying that both of them should be killed.

And the king said. I don't want to see both of you again, I can't live with evil-minded people..he lamented angrily.it was time for them to receive their punishment.

the King called the soldiers with a big voice...guards!! and they all responded in unison..yes our king. he then gave the orders

take this evil being to the evil forest let them go and due I don't know them anymore.

the princess and her fiancee cried out loudly begging the king to forgive them, they promised never to repeat the same mistake that it was greed for wealth that drove their minds to make them crazy and silly decisions. their cries fell on deaf ears.

the guards did not hesitate to take on the orders, they carried both the Princess and her fiancee and there they were on their way to the evil forest.

during their journey, they kept on begging the guards to let them free but they did not succeed, on seeing this Nicholas decided to try hard and escape

Nicholas started urinating on the guard's shoulder as he was being ferried to the evil forest, the guards were shocked and decided to drop him down to avoid urine passing through them.

little did he reach down than he started running for his life leaving the princes behind with the guards. a quick thought came to the guards that if at all they let Nicholas go they would all be killed and so they decided to divide themselves into two groups, one group to remain with Princess Ruth and the other to follow Nicholas.

Nicholas was a fast runner being a soldier at the palace he was a strong man and energetic too, he went ahead of the guards at a fast speed and got lost in their sight.

they searched everywhere in the direction that he fled but could not trace him. they were so frightened that the king would not be happy with them if they failed to find him.

This search went for two days without lying down to have rest. On the third, some men were passing nearby talking about a stranger in their house who had refused to identify himself and had refused to get out of the house.

They got interested in their chat and one of the guards raised his voice and asked them where he was, he went further and explained that they had lost their brother.

When they heard that the stranger was a brother to the guards they were impressed and agreed to take them where Nicholas was. they did not know what harm they were causing him.

Nicholas heard a group of young men talking stories as they approached the house where he was, he froze but there was nothing he could do, they were near

The guards went into the house got hold of him and started their journey back to where they had left Ruth. they got her still held tight by the guards who remained behind.

she cried of hunger but no one listened to her, they went far away in the wilderness, on reaching the entrance to the evil forest the guards left them to go in alone, they were afraid of what they used to hear about the forest though they did not have any other option other than going into the forest.

the guards then came back to the palace to give him feedback on how the work given to them was performed.

King Ricardo was happy for them and agreed to reward them, meanwhile, the Queen had not spoken to anyone ever since her only daughter and lovely Princess was banished from the kingdom. She was furious and much angry but could not show her anger because of the horrible thing her daughter had done.

the Queen refused to eat anything, she was sad and developed a cruel attitude towards the maid who gave the king the information. she was not certain and felt that the maid was lying against her daughter.

the Queen's attitude took the people of boltar with surprise, they did not expect her to behave in that manner., as their culture did indicate well that anyone who commits such crime must be banished from the kingdom by throwing him or her into evil forest.

this issue brought bad relation between King and queen, they had a lot of misunderstandings, she insisted the maid be chased while the king said she has to be rewarded for saving his life.
