Special Training

Elsie lay unmoving on a narrow bed with her eyes tightly shut. Beside her reclined a young man with a complicated look on his face, he was pondering over some matters.

"Do I have to do this?" The young man who was naturally Damien pondered as he sighed. "This girl is a bag of trouble."

He was speculating whether he should give his blood to her or not. Elsie who had lost nearly 80℅ of her blood will take at least a month or so to wake up and he, of course, cannot keep her here.

But then again, if he gives his blood to her, the mate bond between them will become stronger, that even if he wants to break the bond, he won't be able to do so!

Damien stood up with a grimaced face and began to pace back and forth in the room, "Anyways if I give my blood to her nothing will change. I might just have to....," He shook his head and took a knife from the table and slit his palm, then he proceeded to open Elsie's mouth and drop his blood into her mouth.

One must know that one drop of an ancient demon's blood is equivalent to 60℅ of a normal demon's blood which is why it's treasured.

The moment his blood flowed into Elsie's body, a cold feeling swept through her body as her system began to undergo a whole new modification.

The internal organs that circulate the energy within her body evolved stronger as her blood mixed with Damien's blood.

"At least after these changes, she will be able to battle with people two levels higher than her no matter how strong." Damien sighed as he felt the changes happening within Elsie's body. This was one of the changes that his blood has given to her body and energy.

The minute the changes within Elsie's body stopped, her locked eyes gradually opened, and gently, she rubbed her eyes and tilted her head to one side to gaze at the young man sitting beside her.

"How are you feeling?" Damien flashed her a concerned smile.

She rubbed her eyes to see better as it darted around, "Am good... Just feeling a little cold inside." Then she proceeded to glance at her clothing only to stutter, "Wh-who changed my-my clothe?"

Damien's indifferent face suddenly changed to an amused one as he smirked. "I did. Would you have preferred if someone else did?"

Elsie's face flushed a bright shade of red the moment she heard those words. Which girl wouldn't feel embarrassed to hear such a word from a man and the one they love at that?

She maintained her head low in embarrassment refusing to look up to Damien.

"Why were you battling with that girl?" Damien instantly changed the topic even though he was amused by the girl's cute reaction, but of course, he wouldn't want her face to drip blood from embarrassment.

"I-i didn't start the fight, she did," Elsie who was still flushed red from embarrassment stuttered.

"Mhm...Do you know the family she comes from? Aren't you afraid they will come after you?" Damien crossed her arms, as his right brow raised.

"Nope, I have no idea which family she is from. Is-is she from an aristocratic family?" Elsie deeply hoped in her heart that Clara wasn't, because if she was, then she was doomed!

"Indeed she is."

Her heart skipped a bit the moment she heard those words she didn't want to hear, she instantly fell into despair.

Damien's face became more amused when he saw her expression and he couldn't help but admit he was enjoying her misfortunate situation.

"Throughout the years in the Phoenix family, only one of their descendant was able to inherit the Phoenix flame energy but he was unfortunate to die young. So none has been able to inherit the Phoenix energy until she who was able to inherit it was born, and that she is the girl you just murdered."

Elsie's heart skipped a bit once more as she couldn't help but remember the strong red flames that were surging on Clara's body when they were battling, "How strong are they?"

"They are strong enough that they can't be underestimated."

She instantly fell into despair as she face-palmed herself, "Dammit, I didn't even burn her to ashes to remove any trace that could implicate me."

"Oh... Don't worry about that, I did the job for you. Also no need to feel so down, they will take at the very least, four months or so to trace you down." Damien tapped his fingers on the chair armrest while gazing at her grimaced face.

Elsie blinked her long lashes with a half-smile as she thought to herself, 'What will I do if her family comes looking for me? I need to get stronger, no matter what.'

"Hmm...you want power?" Damien raised his brow while staring at her.

"Huh!" Elsie instantly froze for a whole minute before she stuttered, "Yo-you can hear my-my thought?"

Damien didn't reply rather he grinned at her, "You must know that for you to be my mate, you must be strong...hehe...my mate cannot be weak and you indeed aren't weak."

"Huh?... Bu-but how will I?" Elsie's face grimaced. Zamiel who trains her had suddenly fallen into slumber when she collapsed because she woke up moments ago to realize she couldn't communicate with him anymore.

"Don't worry, this daddy here will give you special training," A smirk formed on Damiens's face as he fixed his gaze on her.

Elsie blinked her eyes and confusion flashed across her large eyes. "A special training?"

"Yes, a special training."

"When will the training commence? Morning or afternoon!"

Damien scoffed in disdain, "Who said you will train in the morning or the afternoon!"

"Huh? If not in the morning or afternoon then when?" Elsie scribbled her head in bewilderment. Morning and afternoon were always the perfect time for training. If she wasn't going to train at those times then when will she train?

Damien flashed her a grin, showing little of his jade white teeth. "You will train both morning, afternoon, and night."

Elsie was frozen for a moment as she felt a little faint-headed, "You mean I have to train at night too? Bu-but that's a precious time I take my beauty sleep."

Damien ignored her grimaced face and shut his eyes close. He began to playfully tap his fingers on the chair armrest, "Go and see your friends, they are dead worried about you. Be back by dawn, your training begins tomorrow!"

Elsie glanced at the young man and smiled faintly before she made her way out of the house and wandered off the woodland.

Damien sighed the minute Elsie left as he smiled to himself, "Even if can't love you, I can accept you as my mate and treat you well because even if I don't want to, I can't anymore."

....

Elsie arrived at the inn and took a deep breath before she strolled in. Her eyes darted around and saw Olive and Zarin who were seated with a downcast expression on their faces.

"Guys," A warm smile crept up her lips as she walked towards them.

The two abruptly lifted their heads when they heard her voice and hurriedly rushed towards her, hugging her tightly.

"Sheesh, you gave us a heart attack," Olive furrowed her brows as she pretended to be angry.

"Are you alright," Zarin smiled as he scrutinized her body.

"Yes am okay, thank you guys so much," Elsie tightly bit her lips as she stared at the two standing in front of her.

"We are glad you're okay," Zarin waved his hand and walked her to sit down.

"Uhm... I won't be staying with you guy anymore," Elsie fiddled with her fingers as she raised her eyes to peek at the two who had a grin slowly creeping up their faces.

"Ah... Why are you telling us? We totally understand! Just enjoy yourself? Olive chuckled with a wave of her hand and nudge Zarin who had his lips sealed tightly to restrain himself from laughing

Elsie's eyes dilated as she stared at the two. What are they thinking? What do they mean for her to enjoy herself? They are not thinking am...!

"Guys... It-its not what you're thinking!"

"Don't worry, we understand, " Olive chuckled cheerfully with a roll of her eyes. "Let's go to the meat store and have another stick meat to celebrate the death of that bitch," She waved her hand as she dragged Zarin and Elsie and sauntered out of the inn.

......

Elsie came back a little past twilight and

"You're late!" Was the first thing she heard when she stepped into the old house.

She smiled awkwardly as she didn't know how to retort, she was out of words.

Damien stood up with a grim face and ambled towards her, "Here are my three rules that you must follow. You must not be late for anything when it comes to me! You must not show any susceptibility when am training you! You must follow my every instruction! Are we clear?"

"Noted," Elsie nodded as she bit her crimson red lips. Even though she transcended into this world, she still ended up, bringing with her a character of her past self, which was her soft side. Her previous self would have cried if she was being scolded this way

Damien ignored her sorry face and strode towards her. He took her by the hand and teleported them out of the old house.

They appeared in front of a modest house that looked small and beautiful. Elsie reckoned It will at most, have only two rooms.

She couldn't help but remember the lake she had bathed in for the first time since she transcended into this world when she saw a small lovely lake in front of the house.

"Your training will take place here," Damien snapped her out of her dazed state with a gentle smile on his face.

"Wow! this place is beautiful, do you live here?" Elsie surveyed the surroundings and nodded her head in awe at how simple and beautiful it looked.

"No, I just come here for peace and training. Now stop asking questions and get ready for your training," Damien patted her shoulder and strolled towards a chair at the front of the house, and gently sat down.
