Elsie left Belighted city a week after the incident and was currently going to the vendor building. As usual, she was clad in short long-sleeved armor-like dress with a v-neckline and black boots. Her white hair was neatly tied up in a ponytail.
The long sword given to her by Damien was hung in her back. She has ceased using the two swords of hers.
"Where are we going actually?"
"To Diemon city within Krinx Empire," Zamiel clarified with a grim face, "We need to find a vendor as soon as possible."
Elsie nodded and walked towards a building where vendors stop before resuming their journey.
She strolled into the building and damn, this place doesn't look good at all. Illegal things, she would call them, were taking place here. Gamblings, women in transparent clothing, and many others. Is this even a place for vendors?
"Just mind your business and ignore them. Go straight to what you came here for." Zamiel frowned deeply.
With a nod, she waddled towards a table and took a seat. Before long, a middle-aged man in black pants and a long jacket strolled forward and sat opposite her.
"Let's get down to business. What's your cultivation?"
"Fifth level, Red star." Elsie smiled indifferently.
"What! Fifth level?" The middle-aged man halted stroking his beard, "What in the world are you doing here if you're just a fifth-level cultivator?" He gazed at Elsie with a raised brow.
"To get hired by a vendor traveling to Krinx empire, Diemon city." Elsie smiled with indifferentness. "Don't worry about my cultivation."
"Hmm..." The middle-aged man stroked his beard as he scrutinized the skinny girl in front of him with narrowed eyes, "Alright but if anything happens to you, we are not responsible."
"No problem," Elsie continued to smile as she scanned the old man standing up and walking into an unknown room.
A few moments expired before a young man about the age of 35 years old sauntered into the room and sat opposite her.
"So you're the one?"
Elsie nodded slightly with a half-smile on her face.
The young man nodded with a cheerful smile on his face as his eyes raked Elsie, "Good! Good! If you make it with us to Diemon city in the Krinx empire, your payment will be a thousand gold coins."
"Alright," Elsie nodded with narrowed eyes, "When do we depart?"
"Just be here very early tomorrow and we will leave," The young man pressed his hands on the table and stood up to leave the table.
Elsie also proceeded to leave with a smile on her face.
...
She arrived at the vendor building the next day, very early in the morning. She was surprised to see that it wasn't just her but many others that were moving with this vendor and the weird thing was that they were all females, the males there were his sentries.
There were a total of 16 people including her makes them 17.
The instant the young man saw her, he waved at her to come over so they could move forward.
17 horses were brought out and he gestured them all to hop on so they could commence their journey.
Elsie mounted her horse just like the others and followed behind the carriage that the young vendor was in. She was now thanking Monika for actually taking her for horse riding once in university.
Beside her rode a young girl of 20 years old with black hair that was messily cut. She looked just as skinny as Elsie and was currently eyeing her.
"Hey, white-haired."
Elsie looked over to the girl with a raised brow, "Anything?"
"Nothing. I like your white hair." The young girl chuckled weirdly, "But it's a pity, you have such a dark future... hahaha..."
"What... What do you mean?" Elsie frowned deeply as her eyes narrowed into a thin line.
"Hahaha... Dark future." The young girl laughed loudly like a maniac that she attracted the notoriety of the others.
With a frown and a shake of her head, Elsie ignored the young girl. Maybe the girl is crazy or something.
They traveled for a maximum of 500 miles before the carriage suddenly stopped. The young vendor stepped down from it and his eyes darted around, "They are here. Everyone get ready."
Right when he ceased his words, men dressed in black jumped out from bushes with shiny swords in their hands.
Elsie and the others drew their weapons ready to battle the black-dressed men.
However, before they could even react, the young girl with messily cut hair, chuckled evilly and drew her swords, she roared with laughter and rushed towards the black-dressed men with black flames surging on her body.
Everyone was still with stunned faces as they watched her stomp her feet on the ground and with a roared laughter, she jumped up in mid-air landing behind two black-dressed men.
Only slash sounds were heard before the heads of the two black-dressed men rolled off their bodies.
"Shit!" Elsie couldn't help but be startled. The girl was a complete maniac.
This was not only for Elsie, it was so for the others.
With crazy laughter, the young girl swerved around and dashed towards the other black-dressed men, slaying them one by one.
Outraged, all the black-dressed men that were present, rushed towards her, stabbing their swords towards her. With her usual crazy laughter, the young girl rushed towards the black-dressed men.
And with a swing of her sword, she proceeded to slay them. However, will she alone be able to slay them all? It was impossible!
Halfway through the kill, one of the men's swords penetrated her from the back leaving its bloody tip pointing out in the front of her stomach.
With the last bit of life in her, she looked towards Elsie, and a beautiful smile formed on her face before she turned away and sliced off the head of the black-dressed man in front of her, before falling lifeless on the ground.
Elsie was stunned. That smile somehow touched deep within her heart for no reason.
"Get them." Elsie was snapped back to reality by the growl of the young vendor.
With the others, she sprinted forward to battle the black-dressed men.
It took at the very least, 20 minutes before the black-dressed men hurriedly retreated.
Elsie walked forward and picked up the sword of the dead young girl and shoved it inside the sword bag hunged on her back together with her long sword.
The young vendor nodded his head in satisfaction with a smile hung on his lips and gestured them to mount their horses.
She ambled towards her horse and mounted it. Now they were 16.
For some odd reason, she was feeling very uneasy within her. This was a feeling she always has whenever danger was approaching.
But she shooked her head, disregarding the thought. She believed it might be due to the robbers they might come across in their journey ahead.
