Then she instantly dashed up the stone stairs and finally got to the peak. However, when she shoved the door used to shut the pinnacle, it didn't budge. What was going on? She couldn't help but start to panic.
While she was panicking and trying to open the door, some unpleasant noises reverberated in the passageway.
"Get that bitch! I want her, whether dead or alive!" Then sounds of footsteps began to get closer to her.
With an anxious face, she forcefully kicked the door and jumped out. However, where she jumped out was not the deserted place rather this place was a forest. It seemed that passageway led her to a different place.
Elsie hurriedly proceeded to run the instant she heard voices. Right now, she has a lot of wounds on her body, but she was running for her life and noticed not.
She ran farther and farther but they were still catching up to her. She ran until she found herself stuck at a dead end. What was in front was a cliff and at the side was an enormous cave that gave off an eerie and dark feeling.
She began to ponder whether to go in or not when she heard their footsteps getting closer and closer. Without much of a choice, she dashed into the enormous cave ready to face whatever will come.
The black-dressed men chasing after her halted when they reached the dead end. Their eyes instantly trailed to the huge cave and they couldn't help but glance at each other.
"She definitely ran in there."
"Wait don't tell me we are going in there?"
"No way! You guys know the rumors behind this cave. I-i can't go in."
"Okay, we will not go in there. We are going to go back and tell the boss brother that she jumped off the cliff and we couldn't go after her, alright?"
They all nodded in agreement and turned to make their way back.
....
Inside the cave, Elsie clutched her body as her eyes darted around the cave. She brushed her arm with her hand as the cold breeze will sometimes blow on her body.
"Zamiel are they gone?"
"Yes," Zamiel revealed a pessimist smile as he watched the girl who looked so unfortunate at this moment.
Elsie placed her back on the cold wall and slowly slipped to the ground as her back brushed on the wall. She lifted her trembling hands to grip her head as the scene of all the brutality flashed in her mind.
Those screams!
Those painful cries!
Jasmine!
The brutality!
A raged scream escaped her lips as she picked up a stone and heavily threw it to the wall, "Fuck you beasts! Fuck you all!
She breathed heavily as her chest rose and fell in outrage. She gradually controlled her breathing and finally calmed down.
Her hand tightly balled into a fist as she gritted her teeth and her eyes narrowed dangerously at that moment.
Something at this moment has changed within her. but even she has no idea what did.
She blinked her eyes, took a deep breath, and proceeded to leave the cave to find a place for shelter before the sun rises. However, she had just taken a step forward when she noticed something that was emitting a strange dense red light in the deeper area of the cage.
Her brows furrowed as she proceeded to walk deeper into the cave and see what it is.
"Elsie don't step further! Just leave!" Zamiel furrowed his brow as his face turned into a frown.
"But I want to know what it is!" She ignored him as she dragged her sprained leg and proceeded to walk deeper into the cave.
The more closer she got, the brighter it was.
Her frown deepened when she got nearer to the strange light.
And just when she has gotten close to it, her eyes couldn't help but dilate as a saucer. What was in view was a pool filled with red water! No this was blood!
She narrowed her eyes and gazed deeper into the blood pool, however, the red pool shone brightly penetrating through her eyes. She staggered back as she tightly clutched her eyes.
Dizziness bogart her head and she heard Zamiel's thundering voice which caused more throbbing pain in her head.
"I warned you not to go but you wouldn't listen!" A deep scowl emerged on Zamiels face as he watched the young girl who was going through agony. He hated that he couldn't help her!
Elsie continued to clutch her head as she staggered from one side to another. Something was going on in her mind.
She was seeing every death scene that has occurred to her and some she doesn't even know.
Her mother shot mercilessly!
The bullet penetrating her tummy!
The competition!
The young vendor's death!
Her, Killing an unimaginable amount of people!
A loud agonizing scream left her mouth and she furiously shooked her head. She staggered back and found it hard to breathe.
She felt suffocated and felt the world turning around her. An unbearable pain hit her head and she who could not take it anymore collapsed to the cold ground and fainted.
....
"Urgh... Ouch," Elsie rubbed her head as her blurry eyes slowly cleared. She pressed her hand on a warm floor and sat up.
Her eyes cleared and the first thing she saw was a very exquisite woman who looked to be the age of 23 to 24 grinning and staring down at her with a raised brow.
She had emerald green eyes with her long ruby red hair and sword-shaped eye with her long lashes blinking at Elsie.
Elsie blinked her eyes and Instantly stood up taking a vigilant step back from the pretty woman.
"Woah, take it easy pretty thing." The pretty lady smiled at her with hands spread out innocently.
"Who are you!" Elsie narrowed her eyes dangerously as she started at the pretty woman in an unfriendly manner. "What is this place and who brought me here?"
The pretty woman blinked her eyes and a smirk formed on her brims. She walked forward and walked past Elsie to sit down on a wooden chair, "Relax. If we wanted to do anything to you, we would have done so when you were unconscious."
"We?" Elsie furrowed her brows and gazed at the pretty woman with a raised brow.
"Yes, we. I live here with my friends which are the ones that brought you back," The pretty woman lifted up a cup of tea and blew on it.
