Soul Rebirth

A mouthful of air escaped her mouth as her eyes gazed at the sky.

"Zamiel what happened to me at that pool?" Her eyes gazed intently at the twinkling sky as the breeze brushed past her.

Zamiel sighed with a downcast look on his face when he heard her question, "I-i don't know how to decipher it. I warned you to stay away but you were being so adamant and curious."

"I-i am sorry. I-i didn't..."

"Don't worry, everything has happened," Zamiel shook his head annoyingly. "You're a different person now!"

"Wha-what do you mean? Am not different! Am still me!" Elsie gazed at Zamiel with a bewildered expression on her face. What Is Zamiel talking about? She didn't change at all! She is still who she is!

"You think you're you from before?" Zamiel creased his brow.

"Yes," Elsie nodded her head confidently.

"See... Yes, you are still you but... You went through a change," Zamiel blinked his eyes and took a deep breath.

"What... do you mean by change?" Elsie blinked in confusion.

"Soul Rebirth! You went through Soul Rebirth."

"Huh?... What is that?" Elsie's brow creased and she gazed at Zamiel in confusion.

"Elsie let me ask you a question-" Zamiel put on a stern face while he placed his stare on her "-During that moment you were angry in the cave, what did you think of? What did you desire for at that time?"

"Uhm...-" Elsie blinked her eyes and took a slight breath "-I... wanted to kill them all! I wanted to slaughter them in the ugliest and horrible way!"

"Exactly! You are not the same anymore! You underwent Soul Rebirth and the bad and good side in you is now unbalanced. The Soul Rebirth has awoken that bad side which you desired the most at that moment in the cave."

"So that means, I will do more bad than good?" Elsie gazed at him in confusion.

"Not... Exactly. It's just that, you might not be able to control yourself in some things from now on! But no worries, you will learn to control yourself and balance it," Zamiel reassured her with a smile.

Elsie nodded with a slight breathe of relief before abruptly lifting hrs eyes, "Does this Soul Rebirth occur to everyone?"

"No, not at all! It's a very unusual phenomenon that occurs rarely."

"I see... so I was just unlucky?" Elsie smiled mockingly at herself.

"No! Am sure that for it to happen, there must be a reason."

Elsie nodded her head with a pessimistic smile on her face and gaze up to the sky one more time.

Zamiel stared at her for a while before a cheerful smile suddenly formed n his face, "Elsie! Check you're arm."

"Huh? Why?" Elsie glanced at him with a questioning look on her face.

"Just check your arm!"

"Oh... Okay," She blinked her eyes in confusion and lifted the hem of her sleeve. The instant her eyes fell on her arm, her eyes dilated as a saucer and she froze on the spot.

"Ho-how is this possible?" Her chest rose and fell in disbelief.

"Well... You went through a dangerous life and death situation, so your cultivation jumped leaps and bounds."

"Whoa... Eight Level! This is awesome!!" A hearty laugh escaped her mouth and she gazed at her arm once more to make sure that it was real.

Her eyes trailed to the sky and with a happy turn, she sauntered into the house.

"Hey! Come and have dinner with us," The instant she stepped into the house, Daniel who had a half-smile on his face gestured her to a table filled with delicious foods.

She nodded and ambled toward the table, taking a seat opposite Daniel. She smelled the food and picked up her spoon.

"So... What were you doing in that cave, unconscious?" Daniel lifted his eyes to gaze at her while munching his food.

"Well... I... Was traveling somewhere and... Unknowingly lost my way," Elsie filled her mouth with rice and raised her eyes to glance at Daniel.

Daniel nodded his head and swallowed the food in his mouth, "I hope you don't mind me asking... But may I know where you got your sword?"

Elsie instantly swallowed the food in her mouth and raised her eyes to gaze at Daniel, "Why are you asking?"

"No-nothing... It just looks very unique and I thought of getting one myself, that's why am asking," Daniel rubbed the back of his head with a half-smile on his face.

"I see-" Elsie nodded her head with narrowed eyes "-Well I bought it from someone."

"Bought it?" Daniel blinked his eyes with a little creased brow.

"Yes... Any problem?" Elsie ignored him and filled her mouth with another spoon of rice.

"No! No! Not at all!" Daniel chuckled awkwardly and fell silent.

They finished their dinner and gestured Elsie to a room. She nodded at him in gratitude and shut the door.

Daniel who was standing in front of the door blinked his eyes and slowly turned to leave.

He walked downstairs and ambled towards Alex who was seated on the chair with a jug of water in his hand.

"Come with me."

"Why?" Alex raised his brow and glanced at Daniel in a questioning manner.

"Just come with me!" He dragged Alex and pulled him into a private room. He shut the door and took a deep breath.

"Daniel, what is it?" Alex creased his brow in a questioning manner.

"Okay... I know you're always the responsible one and am the irresponsible one, but I have a feeling that girl knows our boss!"

Alex drew his head back with a grimaced face. He walked closer to Daniel and placed his hand on his forehead to fill his temperature, "Daniel are you sure you're feeling okay?"

"Alex am being serious! You should know very well when am serious and when am not," Daniel glared at him and a deep frown emerged on his face. Why is his brother being so outrageous at this serious moment?
