Chapter 41: Annoyed Wannabe Nemesis

With Mack - In the Early Morning:

*Mack is riding on top of Amir flying through the sky.*

Dragonite (Amir): *Yawns* "Are you sure? I mean Luis is giving us a mission related to stalking."

Cinderace (Mack): "I'm sure about this. When Luis told us about the phone call, he knew something worse could happen. He just handed us a bag containing our team and a photo of a woman. It seems this was taken probably in the 90s. We just have to find a woman that matches our description."

Dragonite (Amir): "Why is that woman in the photo important to Luis?"

Cinderace (Mack): "I believe that is his sister."

Dragonite (Amir): "Oh...Well, if you said so." *Flys down to land on the surface*

Cinderace (Mack): *Looks around the area* "Are you sure we are at the right place?"

Dragonite (Amir): "I think so..."

Cinderace (Mack): "You think?"

Dragonite (Amir): "Well according to a guy named Gustavo, this place is exactly where she lives. I'm sure this is it."

Cinderace (Mack): "Hmm, I can't argue with you about that. Now, let's take out our team."

*Mack throws four Pokeballs as they appear out of the Pokeball.*

(FYI, you didn't know about Luis' Pokemon team, so here it is: M = Male, F = Female)

Cinderace (Mack): "Alright, team. Let's get to work."

Toxtricity (Robert): "I don't get why you bring us along."

Dragonite (Amir): "Robert, we're here because Luis gives us a task."

Hatterene (Anastasia): "Really, what kind of task?"

After Explaining...

*They are all hiding among the bushes near the home.*

Froslass (Lumi): "Stalking?! Seriously?!"

Cinderace (Mack): "Shhh! Quiet down, and yes."

Urshifu (Leonardo): "Listen, we didn't agree to this!"

Dragonite (Amir): "Leo, I swear to fucking god. If you don't shut your mouth, we are all going to get caught! Understand?!"

*Leonardo decides to shut his mouth and the team looks through the woman. Of course, they found the woman that matched the description, as she was cooking in the kitchen. She's not alone. The man is with her.*

Hatterene (Anastasia): "Who is that?"

Cinderace (Mack): "That's her husband. Also, Luis' brother-in-law."

*They look at Mack surprisingly and turn to spy on the married couple until they find the woman, grabbing her phone as she was talking to someone."

Dragonite (Amir): "Lumi, turn yourself invisible, go through the window, and listen to her conversation. Once you're done, inform us."

Froslass (Lumi): "I don't know if I can do this."

Hatterene (Anastasia): "You can do this. You're half-Ghost Type. Just don't make a sound."

*Lumi turns herself invisible and goes through the wall. She goes a little closer to her as she's on the phone."

Aida: "Have you found them yet?"

Nashly: *No, not yet. But I'm getting close to solving their whereabouts, Auntie.*

Aida: "Do it right now. I don't care how long it takes, make it happen."

*Aida hangs up the call.*

Manuel: "Any news?"

Aida: "No. Just a dead end."

Manuel: "Don't worry, once Nashly finds them and the two return to us, we'll punish them."

*Lumi covers her mouth when being invisible. She comes back visible to her team, in shock.

Toxicity (Robert): "What happened?"

Dragonite (Amir): "What do you hear?"

Froslass (Lumi): "She got a call from a girl named Nashly."

Cinderace (Mack): "And what else?"

Froslass (Lumi): "The husband says that once they return to their parents, they will be punished."

Urshifu (Leonardo): "Nashly? That's a weird name to pronounce."

Cinderace (Mack): "Oh no, this is bad..."

Urshifu (Leonardo): "Is it?"

Cinderace (Mack): "Yes! REAL bad! We got to head back to Lumiose City to inform Luis!"

Darwin POV:

 Last night, it took a bad turn. I had myself busy cooking breakfast for the group. Elizabeth woke up to terrible news from her uncle. So I wanted to brighten her day by cooking her breakfast. Once I was finished cooking, I prepared a cooked breakfast on a plate and spoon and handed it to Elizabeth. She was surprised that I cooked it myself. "Please take it," I said with a warm smile. She smiles a little and grabs a plate. "Oh Darwin, you shouldn't have." She says. I prepared the food myself and sat next to Elizabeth.

Darwin: "Your uncle can handle your mom."

Elizabeth: "I know, it's all my idea thanks to the new disguises. Without it, we'll be even more in danger."

Darwin: "Hey, let's not think things are even worse than they were before. You just need to focus on the bright side of our adventure."

 Elizabeth sniffs and wipes her tears off. "You're right. Sorry, I got so worried about myself." She apologizes. "You're just doing the best thing you could," I said, taking out the Pokédex to see the time. I woke the others up to get them to eat breakfast before packing up and continuing our travel. I checked on Geo, stuffing food in his mouth. "You doing good, bud?" I question him. He answers, "Yeah, I'm already over the whole kidnapping." He yawns. "Man, I'm exhausted as hell." I chuckled, "Well, at least you got some shut-eye last night. I patted his shoulder and went to pack my bag. Once our camping equipment was packed, I walked straight to our next destination. Elizabeth took out her Pokédex to look at the map of Kalos. Her expression went from decent to worried. Hannah asks, "What's the matter, Liz?"

Elizabeth: "Guys, the good news is that we are in the right direction to Anistar City.

Alex: "Oh, that's good."

Bobby: "And the bad news?"

Elizabeth: "The bad news is there's a town between Laverre and Anistar, including two routes to walk through."

Bobby: "Okay what's the town called?"

Elizabeth: "It's called Dendemille Town.

Amy: "Hmm...You know, Elizabeth. I think the better opportunity once we arrive at Dendemille, you might need a fresher and probably hang out."

Elizabeth: "I guess it makes sense. I do need a break from last night."

Darwin: "Then it's settled. Let's go to Dendemille and have a great time."

 We pack and walk towards the route gate to the next town. After approaching a couple of trainers to battle throughout the route, we made it to Dendemille. The group decided to go to the ice cream shop to get desserts. Elizabeth felt better after that, "Amy, thanks. You're a handful." Amy felt awed, "Oh, it's nothing, bestie. You just have to focus on the bright side." She licks and bites her ice cream, "Sure, your parents are horrible. But just to let you know, we got your back. For better or for worse." I go to her while holding ice cream in my hand. "Feeling better?" I ask. "Yeah, it helps a lot."

Greninja (Geo) POV:

Brittany and I enjoy our mini date, eating ice cream in a cup, and so does the gang. "I love the cookies and crème-flavored ice cream, Geo. You should give it a taste." She says with a smile. "Oh yeah? I think you need to try mint chocolate chips." I say, handing out a spoon of my ice cream to Brittany.

Delphox (Brittany): "Okay, how about we both take a taste test of our ice cream?"

Greninja (Geo): "Alright, let me grab your spoon and you grab mine."

(We scoop and exchange our spoons full of ice cream. I decided to take a bite of Brittany's ice cream. She does the same.)

Both: "Mmhhhh~"

Delphox (Brittany): "You're right. Mint chocolate is the best."

Greninja (Geo): ¨"Mhm. To be honest, cookies and crème are délicieux. I can't decide which is my favorite ice cream by now."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Having a break is great. No more ranting shit from Nashly. No businesses with Team Flare. Just us having a day off."

*Julian runs towards me and begins panicking.*

Greninja (Geo): "Woah! Julian, what's wrong?¨

Heliolisk (Julian) ¨It's HIM."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Who?! Blaze?!"

*Brittany hides under the table to hide.*

Heliolisk (Julian): "No! It's worse than Blaze."

Greninja (Geo): "What do you-"

???: "If it isn't the two Pokemon that I haven't seen forever."

 When a Pokemon approaches us, I recognize what Julian is talking about. Behind him was a Sceptile and his team. Julian rushed to go behind me, as I was handling them. Brittany peeks to take a look as she gets up slowly.

Greninja (Geo): "Fuck...It's Antonio."

Sceptile (Antonio): "Great to see you again...Geo."

We were silenced for a second. Then a Nidoking turned to look at Julian.

Nidoking (???): "Julian, I haven't seen your pathetic ass."

Heliolisk (Julian): "I ain't talking to you, jerk!"

Aromatisse (???): "Well, we never ask, weakling!"

Heliolisk (Julian): "Fuck you, Svetlana!"

*Julian and Svetlana summon their powers and are about to battle each other. But I pull Julian behind me, making his power fade away. He knew I wouldn't let him.*

Greninja (Geo): *Triggers* "What are you doing here in Dendemille?"

Sceptile (Antonio): "My team and I come by here just to get a chance to go outside, along with my partner."

Chandelure (???): "But I never expect you and Julian to be in town."

*Antonio notices Finn and Brittany.*

Sceptile (Antonio): "And who are these two? I have never seen them in my life."

Greninja (Geo): "That's none of your concern. And I suggest you get away from us."

Walrein (???): "Come on, introducing themselves won't hurt a muscle."

Greninja (Geo): "Not gonna happen."

Sceptile (Antonio): "Fine...But you know the deal here, once we meet again, we battle."

Chesnaught (Finn): "WHAT?! Oh no no no no! I'm not letting you battle Geo."

Sceptile (Antonio): "He didn't say no, fat bear."

Greninja (Geo): "I'm saying no, end of the story."

Sceptile (Antonio): "You're just being a wuss!"

Heliolisk (Julian): "He ain't no wuss!"

Sceptile (Antonio): *Pushes Finn away* "Get away!"

*Antonio summons Leaf Blade.*

Greninja (Geo): "I wouldn't do that if I were you."

Sceptile (Antonio): *Summons Leaf Blade* "Why is that?"

*Jayden throws Shadow Ball, hitting Antonio as he falls onto the ground.*

Sceptile (Antonio): "Ugh...Ow."

Aegislash (Jayden): "Get away from them, you crook!"

Nidoking (Donny): *Nearly summoning Earth Power* "Why you-"

*Brittany gets up from hiding and puts out her wand. *

Delphox (Brittany): *Summon Psychic* "Oh no, you don't."

Greninja (Geo): *Summoning Water Shuriken* "Don't get any ideas! Just get your pal and leave!"

Sceptile (Antonio): *Gets up* "Tck! Fine, we're leaving."

*Antonio's team turns around as they walk away. But Antonio turns to talk to Geo.*

Sceptile (Antonio): "Don't forget our battle deal, Geo. Or you'll regret it."

*Antonio left to go to his team.*

Chesnaught (Finn): "Geo, are you okay?"

Greninja (Geo): "Yeah, I'm fine."

Aegislash (Jayden): "It doesn't seem like you're fine."

Greninja (Geo): "Well, you're almost about to be grounded by a Nidoking."

Aegislash (Jayden): Sheesh, you are right about that one."

Heliolisk (Julian): "Well, that's been taken care of. I'm headed to our friends."

Greninja (Geo): "Oh no. Don't think I'm forgetting about you, Julian."

Heliolisk (Julian): "Wha! What did I do?"

Greninja (Geo): You're also almost going to pick a fight with Svetlana. Good thing I won't allow it."

Heliolisk (Julian): "Why? Is it wrong to hit a girl?"

Greninja (Geo): "Well,...yes. But I know you're capable of battling a female Pokemon. But the reason is I don't want you to get hurt, especially that incident with Blaze."

Heliolisk (Julian): "Oh."

Greninja (Geo): "Now, go to the others and hang out with them. You don't want to make them wait long."

*Julian and Jayden went with the others. Geo notices that Brittany and Finn are shocked, as they want an answer.*

Greninja (Geo): "What?"

Chesnaught (Finn): "Geo, who was that Pokemon earlier?"

Greninja (Geo): "Oh, him. That Sceptile is a Pokemon I know. His name is Antonio."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Man, you got yourself an enemy."

Delphox (Brittany): "Geo, you said you didn't have enemies."

Greninja (Geo): "Brittany, I didn't consider him my enemy. He was like...a bully and a jerk."

Chesnaught (Finn): "A bully?! Hell no! I'm gonna go handle him."

*Geo stops Finn by grabbing his wrist.*

Greninja (Geo): "I can't let you do that, Finn."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Why not?!"

Greninja (Geo): "Do that and he'll tell his team to finish you off."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Okay, I won't do it. If they try anything, then I'll do my way."

Delphox (Brittany): "What's the story about you and him?"

Greninja (Geo): "It's quite a story. Wherever I traveled with Darwin and the team to towns and cities, I bumped into him in a town called Camphrier while I was reading a book, sitting beside the tree. I remember he used to be pushy when I first met him."

In Camphrier Town:

*Geo is reading a book peacefully, sitting beside the tree. That is until he is interpreted by a Pokemon, a Grovyle, appears right in front of him.*

Grovyle (???): "Hi there."

Frogadier (Geo): "Uh...Hey?"

Grovyle (???): "You seem to be the right Pokemon to do a thing for me

Frogadier (Geo): "For what exactly?"

Grovyle (???): "Challenge for a Pokemon Battle."

Frogadier (Geo): "Huh?"

Delphox (Brittany): "So, he challenges you to a Pokemon Battle?"

Greninja (Geo): "Yeah, it's weird that he challenges the first Pokemon he ever met. Not only that he wanders the town on his own. Kind of think of it, I believe he's with his partner."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Okay, what do you tell him?"

Greninja (Geo): "I told him..."

Frogadier (Geo): *Gets up* "I'm sorry, but what is your name exactly?"

Grovyle (Antonio): "Oh, right. I'm Antonio."

Frogadier (Geo): "Okay, Antonio. That way you approach me and challenge me, it's getting weird."

Grovyle (Antonio): "Weird by how?"

Frogadier (Geo): "What I mean is you've met me for the first time to battle me."

Grovyle (Antonio): "Well, that's how it is when facing an opponent."

Frogadier (Geo): (Is he serious about this? I don't know, it seems suspicious. Maybe a battle won't hurt.) *Sighs* "If I battle you, would you stop?"

Grovyle (Antonio): "Absolutely."

Frogadier (Geo): "Okay. Meet me at Route 7 at night, sharp."

Grovyle (Antonio): ¨Alright. I bet I'm gonna win tonight.¨

Frogadier (Geo): "Ha! You wish."

Greninja (Geo): "We meet up at Route 7 at night to do a Pokemon battle."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Then what? You won, didn't you?"

Greninja (Geo): "Of course, I win. I have Aerial Ace to defeat him pretty easily. I thought after successfully winning the battle, he'll stop."

Delphox (Brittany): "Does it work what you imagine?"

Greninja (Geo): *Sighs* "No..."

*Geo is at a table, sitting comfortably as he's reading his book and drinking a cup of coffee he purchased SawBucks Coffee.* 

Frogadier (Geo): *Reading a book* "Ooh...That's interesting." *Sips coffee*

*Geo notices Antonio come towards him, furious about losing a battle the other night.*

Frogadier (Geo): "Oh hey. What's up?"

*Antonio takes Geo's book and rips it in half.*

Frogadier (Geo): "Hey! What are you doing?!"

Grovyle (Antonio): "You and me. Battle. This evening."

Frogadier (Geo): "What's your problem?! And why battle again? We made a deal!"

Grovyle (Antonio): "Don't make me repeat it."

*Antonio left, furiously. Geo picks up his ripped book.*

Frogadier (Geo): "Oh jeez. My book... now it is ripped."

Delphox (Brittany): "Your book is ripped in half!"

Greninja (Geo): "Yeah...That was my favorite book..."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Speaking of the book...do you still have it?"

Greninja (Geo): "Yeah. It's in Darwin's bag."

*Geo went to Darwin's backpack to grab his book. Then he returns to Finn and Brittany to show it.*

Chesanught (Finn): "Jesus...Look how terrible it looks."

Delphox (Brittany): "Oh my god."

Greninja (Geo): "I already explained to Darwin and the boys how I encountered Antonio and the issue I have to deal with battling Antonio."

Delphox (Brittany): "So what did Darwin tell you?"

Greninja (Geo): "He told me to remember all the training he gave me. Skills, attacks, and even dodging the attack, you name it. I left to face Antonio again. Once I did, I defeated him once again. The next day, while I tagged along with Darwin, Antonio ran towards me like he's gonna attack me but his trainer had to go hold him down. He apologizes and takes Antonio with him."

Chesaught (Finn): "Man...This guy..."

 I glance at my book which Antonio ripped. "What are you going to do with a ripped book?" Brittany says. I look at her and sigh as I look at the book. "Well, I'm going to throw it in the trash bin nearby. And I gotta tell you, Darwin helped me buy this book after defeating Viola. He knew I was interested in books and stories. He said, "Consider that as a gift to you." I sigh and Finn thinks of a way. "How about we can find another copy?" 

 I knew his idea wasn't going to work. "Finn, there isn't a single copy here in Kalos. I'm sorry, but it won't work." Finn was disappointed in awe, but he forgot another thing that happened. "Hey, Geo. What's the deal with Julian and the Aromatisse?" I shook and couldn't say it. "I...I prefer not to mention this to anyone. I made a promise." Finn is concerned about this, as well as Brittany.

Chesnaught (Finn): "What do you mean you made a promise?"

Greninja (Geo): "I mean I made a huge promise to Julian, to never speak about this again."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Wait. Julian got something to do with that gal?"

Delphox (Brittany): "Babe. I wanna know the story behind it."

Greninja (Geo): "I don't know...I don't want Julian t-"

*Geo notices Julian walk past him.*

Greninja (Geo): "Hey, Julian. Where are you going?"

Heliolisk (Julian): "Just taking Darwin's bag. He needed to check how much stuff he needed to buy more."

Greninja (Geo): "Oh."

Heliolisk (Julian): "Anyways, I'll be back."

*Julian walks towards Darwin.*

Greninja (Geo): "Let's talk inside at the Pokemon Center."

 The three went to the front entrance of the Pokemon Center. Once we're there, I open the door, leading one to a spare free room rented as I lead Finn and Brittany. I lock the door, Finn covers the windows with the curtains, and Brittany turns the small lamp on. I knew breaking the promise would break my trust in Julian. "You guys really wanna know?" I ask Finn and Brittany, and they nod.

Greninja (Geo): "Okay. Between Julian and Svetlana, that started just before meeting with Antonio."

Chesnaught (Finn): "It happened before Antonio challenged a battle with you?"

Greninja (Geo): "Yes."

Delphox (Brittany): "What happened to Julian?"

Greninja (Geo): "Well, once we arrived at Camphrier, Julian approached me with the brightest smile that I had ever seen coming from him. I knew he was going to say something interesting."

*Geo is watching funny videos from social media from a phone with a hologram.*

Frogadier (Geo): "Hahahah! Ha...It never fails to make me laugh."

Heliolisk (Julian): *Smiles* "Geo! Geo! Geo!"

Frogadier (Geo): "What is it, Julian?"

Heliolisk (Julian): "You won't believe what happened while I went to the PokeMart with Darwin."

*Geo turns off the hologram, which gets him curious.*

Frogadier (Geo): "Go on."

Heliolisk (Julian): "So. I was helping Darwin gather some potions and ethers for our journey. Until I saw an Aromatisse who was about to slip and fall, so I caught her without falling. Our eyes were in contact. Darwin saw everything."

*Geo glances at Julian.*

Heliolisk (Julian): "What?! Don't believe me? Ask Darwin, he has seen it."

Darwin: "It's true, Geo."

Frogadier (Geo): "Okay, I believe you. So that Aromatisse? It seems like love at first sight."

Heliolisk (Julian): *Sighs* "Yeah..."

Frogadier (Geo): "Do you know her name?"

Heliolisk (Julian): "Her name is Svetlana. She introduces herself to me. Oh! There she is over at the flower patch."

*Geo turns to see Svetlana, smelling the flowers from a distance.*

Heliolisk (Julian): "Isn't she beautiful?"

Frogadier (Geo): *Look at his phone* "She is something..."

Heliolisk (Julian): "You're not looking directly at her."

Frogadier (Geo): "I know. It's just she's basically...not my type, not even for you."

Heliolisk (Julian): "Come on, she is. Why are they saying, "Not my type?" It doesn't make sense-" *Gets an idea* "Ahhh...I see what you mean."

Frogadier (Geo): "I already got my type."

Heliolisk (Julian): "It's about Brittany", a Pokemon that you are very worried about and care for."

Frogadier (Geo): "Yeah...I don't know when is a good time to see each other again."

Heliolisk (Julian): "What are you going to give her as a gift?"

Frogadier (Geo): "I'm planning on giving her a sweater."

Heliolisk (Julian): "Speaking of gifts, can you help me with a gift for Svetlana?"

Frogadier (Geo): "You want my help with a gift?"

Heliolisk (Julian): "Please? You know more girls than I do!"

Frogadier (Geo): "Ohh okay. I'll help you out."

Heliolisk (Julian): *Hugs Geo* "Thank you, Geo! You're the best!"

Delphox (Brittany): "Awww! That's so adorable that you help him out."

Chesnaught (Finn): "So It is love at first sight. How is that bad?"

Greninja (Geo): "I gave advice to Julian on how to communicate with a female Pokemon, made a bouquet and candy. I told him to "break a leg" for good luck by the time he sees her in the evening."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Oh my...how did it go for him?"

Greninja (Geo): "..."

Delphox (Brittany): "...Babe..."

Greninja (Geo): *Sighs* "It was late at night, and the team got very worried."

Honedge (Jayden): "It's getting late."

Darwin: "Jeez, Julian. Where are you?" *Yawns* "I can't get some sleep until you arrive back."

Frogadier (Geo): "That's it! I'm going outside to find him."

Darwin: "Are you sure?"

Frogadier (Geo): "I know how to survive the wild. You guys need to sleep."

*The team heads to bed as Geo closes the door, leaves the Pokemon Center, and wanders outside. He jumps up to a tree to check out the two routes nearby. As he jumped higher on Route 6, Geo saw a glimpse of Julian sitting down, facing a river and stars in the sky. He stops, jumps on a tree, and approaches Julian.*

Frogadier (Geo): "Julian, there you are! The team was worried and-"

*Geo notices Julian, still holding the bouquet and candy.*

Frogadier (Geo): "Uhh, Julian. Bubby? Are you okay? I know you're starting to scare me a little, but not quite."

Heliolisk (Julian): "Geo, can I use your Aerial Ace?"

Frogadier (Geo): "Why?"

Heliolisk (Julian): "I want to use it for something."

*Geo summons his Aerial Ace and gives it to Julian. Then he throws the flowers and stabs them with Aerial Ace, furiously. Geo is shocked, as he tries to stop Julian.*

Frogadier (Geo): "Julian, What are you-! Stop! Stop it!"

*Julian continues to stab the flowers.*

Frogadier (Geo): "JULIAN, I SAID STOP IT!" *Pushes Julian.*

*As Julian got pushed, Geo's Aerial Ace disappeared.*

Frogadier (Geo): "What happened?!"

Heliolisk (Julian): "She laughed. She laughs at me."

*Geo walks towards to help Julian get up from the ground.*

Heliolisk (Julian): "She laughed at me, thinking I was the biggest joke to her! Like, does she even know what our region is mainly known for? She said like, "Oh you. That is the worst confession I've ever heard coming from you." Man, she's such a bitch."

Frogadier (Geo): "Gosh…I'm sorry Julian."

Heliolisk (Julian): "No, don't apologize, Geo. I know you help me out. She the one's who dumb."

Frogadier (Geo): I know! I know. But still, I'm sorry for you."

Heliolisk (Julian): "I think I have enough with girls for a night, and stay away from girls."

Frogadier (Geo): "Oh, bubby. You don't mean that."

Heliolisk (Julian): "Oh, I mean it. And you promise not to tell this to anyone. Please? I don't want to be judged."

Frogadier (Geo): "Okay, I promise. But hey, at least you have candy to cheer you up."

Heliolisk (Julian): "I don't think I'm in a mood for sweets. I just wanna go back to the team."

Frogadier (Geo): "Okay. You want me to cook some soup for you?"

Heliolisk (Julian): "Yes, please."

Delphox (Brittany): "I felt bad for Julian."

Chesnaught (Finn): "Jeez, that went hard for him."

Delphox (Brittany): "But wait. He's comfortable with me. How come he didn't feel scared while near me?"
