Misali glared at the final remaining 4th Realm Death Howler, wishing that it was still alive. As it stood, with its body torn to multiple pieces - pieces that were melted or severely burned, it could not be any more dead.
However, her rage had not been quenched. If it were not because of the sorry state of mana and stamina, she would not have hesitated to seek a new target to destroy.
Unfortunately, her situation was so bad that she was visibly panting and the slight glow of her mana infused scales, horns and claws had faded. Furthermore, the injury caused by the earlier sound attack was still in a critical state, her head was still feeling agony and she was still experiencing hearing problems.
The only thing that gave her a bit of solace was the fact that she had single handedly exterminated an entire race, or at least the members of the race that had come to the battlefield. Up till now, only Drako the false dragon king had achieved such a feat.
=MiSAlIIEeEEl!= A muffled telepathic voice suddenly tore through her mind, instantly kicking up the pain in her head by a notch.
She roared aloud in pain and fury as she clutched her head, dizziness resurging once more.
'This is bad!' She thought in fright. Something was wrong in her head and she didn't know what, she already knew that. But the fact that the issue was still prevalent was what had her fearful. Could the issue be permanent? Was she crippled?!
=MisSIALIIIIEeiIiiieEII!=
"ARRRRRRRGH! STOP!" She roared aloud with humiliation, all whilst fighting the urge to roll her eyes into the back of her head. However, since she could barely hear herself, she did not know if she had successfully conveyed her intent.
Now she was beginning to panic.
'What do I do!' She asked herself uselessly. She didn't dare to direct her question to the system, having learnt her lesson from the last attempt.
'goddess, help me!' She cried as she closed her eyes tightly, shame, fear and pain circulating around her skull like a devastating whirlpool.
But it was at that moment that a familiar yet equally unfamiliar warmth surrounded her huge body, muting the pain she was feeling greatly.
'Wha-'
=Do not fear, child.= A clear voice entered her mind, absent of any pain. In fact it was even a little soothing. This abrupt change of events stunned her into confusion, but it didn't last longer than a second when she identified the speaker.
Elation surged within her heart, this was the voice of the goddess!
She opened her eyes, finding that she was enshrouded by a golden light that sparkled beautifully across her body. And beyond that, high in the sky was the ginormous body of Gaia, the goddess of creation herself.
"Oh my…" Misali murmured foolishly in awe.
Misali did not know why, but in that moment the sight of the gigantic golden Dragon had never been more beautiful.
=Your Soul has been damaged, Misali. Soul damage is usually very serious no matter how small the damage, I'm actually impressed that someone here is capable of even causing it. Things could have been terrible for you.=
The goddess looked down at her then, making eye contact with her and sending shivers down her spine. Absent-mindedly, she realised that her body had been numb the entire time and it was only now that she had regained complete feeling.
=Things would have been terrible; if not for your faith. It is because of your faith in me that I will save you. Soul damage is critical to mortals, but what is a mortal issue when presented to a god? Before me, it is as meaningless as dust.=
The light covering Misali's body shone brighter and soon after her eyes drooped as the desire to sleep welled within her, but she was unwilling and she fought to keep her gaze on the goddess.
=Sleep for now, brave Misali. Your faith has granted you renewed life.=
Hearing the command, Misali stopped resisting and allowed herself to slip into darkness with a smile on her face.
…
Drako looked at these ongoing events with mixed emotions.
The Supreme Dragon of Water had gone on a rampage that led to the quick devastation of the Death Howlers, but it was not without cost. The Dragon had been left in a rare sorry state and was completely vulnerable.
Drako had watched the entire series of events with disdain. Although her power was unique, her mental state left much to be desired. It was very illogical that she would choose this fruitless moment to throw a tantrum, it was a childish mistake that made him feel disgust. But it wasn't like it was all that surprising.
The so-called 'True Dragons' were dumb creatures that were always prone to losing control to their violent urges, it was something that he and many others had seen numerous times, which ended up in the masses giving it a fitting name, 'Dragon rage'.
This caused him no small amount of frustration when people automatically assumed that the divine race that he himself had sired had inherited that defect, but that was not true.
He would never lose control of himself like the Water Supreme Dragon.
The time he lost his mind whilst creating the Breath of the Divine Dragon was a unique situation. It was not rage, it was divine enlightenment!
…These were the thoughts that Drako had running through his mind before a change occurred in the situation.
The Supreme Dragon began writhing around as if she were in pain, followed by roars and screamed words that were unintelligible. What had happened? Did someone take the opportunity to attack?
He was about to ask the System when the illusive creation goddess above suddenly took action and sent down a golden light that wrapped around the weakened Supreme Dragon's body.
For a moment things were awkward. There were so many creatures flying in the air but the sole attention was upon a squirming blue dragon that appeared to be in some sort of pain. Rain and hail fell and distant thunder rumbled, all great signs of bad omen. But this was the spectacle that held everyone's attention?
It was very awkward.
But then strangely enough, the Dragon began to settle down. She then opened her eyes and looked right up at the goddess. There was a staring contest, kind of- and then the Water Supreme… fell unconscious.
As Drako watched a few of the lesser Dragons scramble to catch her, only one thought emerged in his mind.
'What?'

ANNOUNCEMENT!
I've finally had a lot more time to work on the [Eridius World] roblox game and now I'm glad to announce that there will be another public test beginning next week Friday (20/06/2025). I hope to see you all during then :)
Additionally, it's time for this king to start generating currency. You see, I've reached a point that I can no longer do things merely for fun anymore, and yes, that means a lot of things are going to change, however, it is all for the greater good. That much I can guarantee.
But for now, I would appreciate it a lot if you can donate to my KoFi: https://ko-fi.com/solitarymonarch
