His own right hand smiled.
"Because I know that I can become the alpha if I kill you myself."

The Alpha's Return

"What the hell do you mean, you killed him? I thought that you were incapable of murder.", Lucas looked at Praneeth.

"This was far before my days as a god's emissary. He was a... horrible human being. It is a long story. Dr. Marianno was one of the few that I have ever committed the sin of killing on.", Praneeth said with a low voice.

"We have a lot of time. You better get started. If you had time to wait for seven days, surely you have time for a story.", Lucas said.

Praneeth sighed. "I don't remember the years. It was back when kings were supreme, and churches were more powerful. He was a part of a corrupt church that clearly strayed from its practice. I was traveling through the world at this point, going on a pilgrimage for the maha shiva when I came across a village.", Praneeth started.

"Okay, you are right. The story is getting a little too long. Just get to the important points.", Lucas interrupted.
