[You have reached Cultivation level 2! All stats +10]
Sam's eyes were wide open and his mouth was agape. +10 to all stats? That was the same as gaining five levels without the bonus stat points! Sam laughed, he laughed hard. So hard, in fact, that other players around him started giving him strange looks. Sam didn't care though, 'This can't be fucking fair can it? Why am I asking of course it is, there has to be some drawbacks to gaining this much strength the way that I can.' That's when Sam saw the requirements for the next cultivation level.
[Spiritual Energy: 0/1,000]
It was 10 times the amount needed to reach level 2?! Well, it made sense, there was no way it would be easy. 'I'll keep going. I won't ever stop, I will become the strongest.' Sam's resolve strengthened.
[You have unlocked a new skill.]
[Body Tempering- Through the use of Spiritual Energy and certain conditions in the environment you can strengthen your body by many times.]
The explanation of the skill was lackluster to say the least. Sam shook his head and decided to go sell his materials before leaving the safe zone for good. He was already basically at the maximum level for the area anyway. He returned to town and was able to sell the materials he had collected for a total of 50 copper coins. It might not seem like much but it was enough for Sam to travel towards the next town.
He then left town and headed towards the edge of the safe zone again. On his way he was able to kill a few more boars, raising the kill count on his mission. As he reached the edge of the safe zone he had a couple of options. He could take the main road and have relatively safe travel, or he could venture into the forest and try his luck with the wild beasts and monsters that lived there. Knowing that he still needed to kill a lot of monsters and wanting to gain more fighting experience in this new game, Sam decided to head into the forest. He used his Energy Sense and noticed that the forest was absolutely saturated with Spiritual Energy.
Sam didn't know if it would help him or not, but there was only one way to find out. He stepped into the forest and began his exploration.
[You have entered The Endless Forest]
As he walked through the forest, Sam tried to use his Meditation skill while he was walking. Surprisingly, it worked! He was able to absorb the energy in the air around him as he walked, although it reduced the amount he received it was still something. As he was testing his skills, Sam saw a small green creature ahead of him. He stopped and looked closer at it.
[Goblin LV. 4]
Sam grinned inwardly, a level 4 goblin. He slowly crept towards the monster, whom he now saw was rummaging in a small hollow inside a tree. 'There must be something here.' Sam decided to act swiftly and lunged at the goblin. Thrusting his blade towards the back of its neck.
[Critical Hit -50]
Sam's sword pierced through the goblin's neck and out the other side. The monster's hands began to flail as it tried to pull away. Sam quickly slashed his sword to the side, cutting through its neck and finishing it off.
[EXP: +150]
Sam grinned when he saw the experience gain from the singular goblin. 'If only there were a few more of them here, though I doubt I could survive against more than two at a time right now.' Sam put his thoughts aside and searched the goblin, finding a few copper coins and some strange orb, before searching the tree hollow. Inside the hollow was a chest, the chest was wooden and looked to be almost rotten. When he opened it, Sam found 10 silver coins inside! Silver coins, at the moment, were rare to say the least. He also found a sword, it looked rusted and worthless though. Sam sighed but decided to take it with him anyway, someone would be able to use it for something he was sure. As soon as he touched the sword, though, he received a notification that made him exclaim again, "This can't be fuckin fair!!"
[Blood Drinker]
[Weapon Type: Sword]
[Level: 5]
[Rarity: Rare]
[Condition: Poor]
[Dam: 50-80]
[Agility: +5]
[Strength: +5]
[This blade drinks the blood of its victims to grow stronger. The more it drinks, the stronger it will grow. It is said to be an insatiable weapon that brings disaster wherever it goes.]
Sam laughed out loud when he read the information on the weapon, he couldn't use it yet as it was a level 5 weapon. But he knew that it was of Rare quality, which meant that its true power was much higher than what it was currently! He placed it into his inventory and was about to continue his journey when he heard something.
*CRASH*
*GRAAAAAAAAAH*
Jumping and spinning towards the sound, Sam almost shit his pants as he saw the creature barreling towards him.
[Grac, Goblin Overseer: Rare Boss: LV 10]
A level 10 field boss?! What? Sam quickly jumped away from the tree as the massive, what he could now identify as an orc, crashed through the space he had been standing.
