Who is she?

****Flashback****

Little Hyde ran out to meet his father who just came in from one of those trips their clan always went disguising themselves in order to help normal people who are in danger.

Even at his age he had always wanted to follow his father but his father had stopped him saying he had greater responsibility.

"Father during your next trip you must take me with you" he complained.

His father who was used to hearing this from him just smiled, he couldn't until why a kid like this would be persistent in doing this things some adults avoided because of the risks attached to it.

"Why do you want to go? You've heard people talking about how dangerous it is. Aren't you afraid of getting hurt?"

"I am not afraid, besides staying here alone without you even hurts more" he paused and looked at his father who didn't really unfortunate him___"is there a reason why I must not go apart from your usual story" he asked

"My usual story is the reason why, because it is way more important than everything we're doing right now, trust me you were born differently for this reason. Not many of us can be born as immortals, infact it is totally rare most of us can only prolong our lives after breaking through the last level of our power.

However your difference is what attract this much of a responsibility to you because you're different"

Hyde didn't really understand why his father kept repeating this same story all the time. His father seemed to understand his confusion then decided to break it down for him.

"You know about our leaders ancestry, right"

"About how their names always rhymed, you told me that is the secret behind my name" he said

"Yes, because you are also among them" his father waited knowing whatt he was going to ask him.

"But you said I'm immortal, then why did our former leaders die, weren't they also immortal too?"

"They weren't, they were only stronger than us. We were told long ago that our clan the oceanides would also have our own immortals too like other clans.

Even though it took long we would definitely have our own. During the destruction of the other clans by Yjulv only our clan survived. We actually thought at that time our immortals would be born but they weren't and we later had to hide here"

Hyde listened attentively, this was the first time his father was talking for this long with him and he treasured it.

"At that time we decided to form our home here under the water so that we wouldn't be detected. We got a new name for our clan, the three people who led our clan from destruction gave us that name.

They were triplets and used their name which sounded almost the same in creating ours.

They were the ones who told us about the people who'ld defeat Yjulv and let us live freely without hiding, they were amazing so we decided that when these heroes finally came they'll bear their names" Hyde felt confused on whether they really deserved that.

"Why did you give them so much respect when they couldn't even fight Yjulv?" asked Hyde.

"Hyde, your strength isn't what makes you a great person or leader. They are probably not powerful enough to beat Yjulv to avenge the other clans and you could be hundred times stronger than them in the future but that doesn't erase or devalue the legacy they left behind".

"What was that?"

"Hope. They gave the people who woke up into a nightmare hope to get through it. They went out of their way to guide the panic stricken people to our current location. They encouraged us to try to escape instead of dying like the rest and after escaping they created something for us to look forward to.

They told us we would be rescued by them during our most desperate moment when we are about to give up.

And even though we didn't imagine ever getting more desperate than how we felt back then.

But it happened, you came which means our hope wasn't in vain" his father said, Hyde looked a bit afraid.

Yjulv was so powerful to the extent all the other clans that once coexisted with them were destroyed by him, how did they expect only three people to take him down.

"Does that mean that there are two more immortals apart from me now?"

"No, which is why you even have greater responsibility. Being the first, you are the one who will be training the other two. So do you know the reason why you must only focus on training yourself"

"But I'm afraid, this is just to big for me to do. What if I make a mistake that endangers everyone?" he asked with a shaky voice. His father put his arm on Hyde shoulder and patted him.

"Don't worry, I'm going to be helping you out, but you must always remember not to ever try attacking Yjulv alone.

You might feel pressured or burdened but you must wait until they're three of you" his father said in a very serious tone which made Hyde a bit nervous.

"Why is it so necessary?" he asked

"Hyde, the biggest mistake you can make is fighting Yjulv on your own. Even if they're two of you, you must still wait for the last one to come because only with her can you be sure of a victory"

"Why?"

"She's going to be more powerful than both you and the second one"

*************************

Perhaps his father was right, if they had waited Yjulv wouldn't have even discovered them. He was so sure that he wasn't making a mistake, everyone also supported him not knowing that his choice at that time would turn the safe zone of the oceanides to their cage. Their beautiful underwater home had been shifted to the deepest part of the ocean which was dark and gloomy.

Now he couldn't even be sure of anything and importantly, himself.

He started feeling the same way he felt thirty years ago when he first discovered Ilde.

He felt it that Hilde was different. Was it because she could drain people power without even knowing? or was it something else.
