Another secret, I'm not very sociable so I don't think anyone would want to work with me. Let us just work with each other, my name is Oliver" he said stretching out his hand for an hand shake. "Kelly" she replied receiving his hand.
"Um... so how will the test be?" Oliver asked releasing her hand.
"Mostly on association and body language, definitely not for someone who is not sociable" she said chuckling. Oliver also smiled at her remark, well maybe he could just give a pass for this one.
"You know what, I might not be as bad as you just pictured me. I could just surprise you" he said feeling unsure of what he was saying.
She laughed briefly before putting on a serious look, "I just want you to be present okay? I will take care of the rest" she said before walking away.
Oliver watched her back until she left, "I guess this is what I get for being a freak" he muttered. He went to the hallway to check out the next class. It was the next day.
He sighed in frustration, he could definitely make it since he was practically doing nothing. Nel had been out and Edna was just ignoring him, that woman. But he would just have to go along with her plan, like an idiot he thought she was.
He couldn't perform any magic, he turned to leave and mistakenly ran into the person at his back.
He quickly looked up and apologized to him but the person just scoffed at him.
{This idiot, is he going to keep staring at me? Or would he just disappear}
Oliver heard someone's voice, wait what was that it was like he had an headphone on. He looked up at the guy who was still staring daggers at him. 'Did he say it?'
Finally he said,
"Are you going to keep staring at me?....." he was saying before Oliver interrupted with wide eyes "or would I just disappear".
The guy expression quickly changed from pissed to shocked. He looked at Oliver questioningly without saying anything.
{What is this? This guy is scary}
he thought before walking away leaving Oliver in wonder before other thoughts started flowing in
{I could have missed morning lectures to get myself a good meal, I'm more hungry than a wolf right now}
{Can't we get easier project, this is brain homicide}
Oliver covered his ears in an attempt to stop them from coming but it didn't work. 'Library! No one thinks there right?' he thought before realizing the irony, no one speaks out there.
"I am not going there" he said walking out trying to relax. This is so horrific, is this how Nel felt. That is probably the reason he doesn't have friends apart from..... I can't even say that's his friends.
On second thought this was really amazing, knowing what everyone is thinking. He smiled and said,
"Not for someone who isn't sociable? How about someone who can read minds?" He started to laugh to himself not realizing it until he heard about three people thinking of him. "No nooo" he said quickly took his steps hoping to exit that place.
After his lessons ended that day, he quickly rushed to Nel's house in other to share this new 'discovery' with him.
On getting there he realized Nel wasn't home. No one was apart from Edna who sat on the ground in a funny position. She closed her eyes and looked as if she was in deep meditation.
Oliver decided to ignore her, whatever was wrong with her was none of his business, he thought and just when he was about to leave she stopped him.
"What is it?" she asked. He turned back to find her still in the same position only that now her body was slightly above the ground and a green light glowed around her. She was looking like some magical goddess.
Oliver "....."
"Is this the first time you are seeing something like this? I'm sure Nel must have done something like this a lot?" she asked still in the same position with her eyes opened and a green ring formed around her pupil.
"....N-Nel can do this?" he asked still spellbound.
"Of course every oceanide magic user can, except for you" she said smiling.
"Is it my fault I can't do it? You promised to train me, yet all you spend the day doing is sulking around as if someone died" he answered furious.
Edna's eyes flash a bit and she narrowed her eyes staring daggers at him with the magic still activated.
"Did you just raise your voice at me? Your master?" she said with her voice drained in anger.
Oliver didn't flinch even when deep inside he was starting to get a bit afraid. 'Don't panic. She is bluffing. She can't hurt you. Nel would be furious otherwise, let me respond in a provocative manner' he thought before saying
"You can only call yourself a master if you've used what you have to create a significant impact" He said before storming out when deep inside he was actually running away.
He needed no angel to tell him she was mad with rage and though he didn't know much about her, one thing he was sure of at this moment was that he didn't want to know what she is capable of doing to someone she is angry at.
"Scary"
