Get dunked on

A/N: I'm aware of the edge and cringe I sometime butcher my story with. But without rereading a chapter as if I was a reader after writing it, I actually do not know if some part are cringe or not. Something I learned recently as I reread the Emilia PoV from the re-zero mini arc. I don't know why, but I kid you not. I almost died from cringe overload from it. And I don't know why. Maybe it was too unrealistic, too over the top, or needlessly emotional. One day I will rewrite that part I swear. Same time happened with Akeno PoV during this chapter. That I rewrote entirely after rereading the chapter. Maybe I'm just not good with exposition PoV that react to Julian. Anyway, off with my 1000 words wall of text and here is the chapter. Hope you like it. Also, if you come across such cringe extrait in the future. Please tell me.

Speaking to Grayfia wasn't neccessary as not even a week had passed since their family supper. Though Julian had some questions about the inherent logic behind the marriage. As with Sirzechs' strength and his love for Rias. Allowing her to be used as a political tools was a suspicious endeavor. But maybe it was just his laid-back nature and his dislike for conflict that leads to this.

Because, for outsiders, Sirzechs was majorly recognised as the strongest powerhouse of the devil faction along with Ajuka. But in devil society, he was publicly known for the love he had for his family and his good leadership. Not for the deeds he did in the war nor his strength in particular.

Anyway, this was a non problem for Julian. So he didn't ponder on it too deeply.

So he stopped thinking about it and went back home. Julian thus informed his parents that he'll be going on a ten days long trip and after that, totally skipped school for the rest of the day. Rest of the day he spent consolidating his training plan and preparing some things.

Like it happened each night since 'that' memorable morning, Julian was visited by the three ex-fallen angels who solicited his 'services' somewhere along it. And in exchange, they offered theirs. No penetration, they did not ask for it, and Julian didn't really care. Though Raynare seemed more than willing, she didn't do anything about it.

To be frank, both parties could be perfectly satisfied as it was. Not even abording how many ways there were to make a woman cum without involving a dick in the process. Julian was a living supernatural vibrator, along many other things. At least for human women. And he was becoming more and more skilled at the 'normal' way of pleasing women over their nightly activities.

Julian wasn't sure if they kept at it for the stress release, or if it was some kind of way to have a bit of control in their new life. As they could seek him whenever he was home and he wouldn't refuse. After all, why would he?

Either way, their motive behind it didn't really matter. He could easily afford to leave them with that tidbit of freedom.

There was also the possibility that he was overthinking and he was just that good...

After all, he was indeed a genius in everything... Scientifically proven fact by the way.

Extrait of Essence Vizualisation

Lust (minor): You are a weak personification of the sin of lust.

Abilities: Allow the incarnation to mask one intentions. Give the embodiment the capacity to manipulate Lust to a small degree. As well as allow to hear the lustful thoughts of weaker entities.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He also grew into his minor Lust embodiment. It wasn't very useful as of now besides its practicality. But he was interested in its ability to mask his intentions and what it meant. Would it work against an empath like Pak? Some sort of mind shielding perhaps? He was very tempted to improve his Lust aspect. If only because his guts told him mind manipulation and protection was on the menu at higher levels.
From the experience of unlocking this minor sin, he had to let his earthly desire or sins run wild and stop restraining them. And it wasn't easy when it had been more than 17 years that he spent shackling or ignoring them.
~Tomorrow morning
"Here we are, this is where we'll be staying for the next ten days." Rias stated and let the other took in the sight of the lakeside manor. Herself already used to more majestic view.
And how they took it in, mostly Issei and Asia though. Ooh'ing and aah'ing like country bumpkins.
Profiting from this lapse in attention from everyone, Julian came to a stop beside Rias.
"You look better than yesterday, did my words have that much of an effect?" Julian asked her with a smile and a raised eyebrow.
Rias glanced at him. A solemn expression on her face. "I am the heir of house Gremory. I knew the possibility of being used in a political marriage since my childhood."
Her expression softening, she afterward set her sight on the member of her peerage. "Besides, I loose all chance of winning the moment I loose hope."
Julian grunted and frowned in disappointement. "So that's a no then. You can act as composed and noble as you want. You cannot hide how much you truly hate your situation and how much fear you feel from me."
Julian walked ahead and ignored Rias who tensed at his words. "You know, I feel I could make it a personal objective of mine to have every single word I speak the truth. Of course, that would make others naturally aware of the undeniable reality of them too. This would make people believe me unconditionally..."
Julian stopped walking and paused for a second before shrugging. "But then, that would make life very boring. And that would be... Unacceptable." Julian trailed off before he realised he was going on a rant.
He turned himself toward Rias as the other finally got bored and made their way to their temporary residence. "Anyway, all of that to say that you have nothing to fear really. Your marriage with Riser will not happen."
He saw Rias clench her fists and an angry and bitter expression forming on her face. He could guess the unasked question on her trembling lips and tearing up eyes: "How can you be so sure of it!! Simply because you're here!?"
But since she kept herself from actually having an outburst in front of everyone. The inexistant question went unanswered as Julian resumed his walk, a frown on his face and an heavier heart. Rias' state made him realise that he was trampling on her feelings and disgarding them as irrelevent. Why? Because he 'knew' the future and was treating all of this as a game. He was assuming that the end result was set in stone, and that was in itself a foolish mindset.
It also made him realise a lesson, that in hindsight, should have been quite obvious.
The fact that actions spoke louder than words. Because as confident and certain that he was in himself, until proven otherwise. His claims would always seem as full of shit.
That was normal, as it was the way the world worked.
But still, it couldn't be tolerated. Not when he was purely saying the truth.
—————
And that's why he was standing here, in the middle of an open field along with everyone else.
"All of you, come at me." Julian emotionlessly surveyed the people before him.
After dropping their things in their respective room. He had immediatly prompted everyone to follow him as he would demonstrate that he was more than qualified to take upon their training.
He could feel they were each, not counting in Issei, various degrees of sceptical about this whole thing. After all, they never saw his capabilities. Nor did they know if his training plan would be any better than the one Rias had designed.
And now, he would show them. And he would not take no as an answer.
"Julian-Kun, are you sure about this? Shouldn't we be showing Asia and Issei the basics first? We only have ten days after all." Akeno asked, unsure of the pertinence of such an exercise.
Julian didn't answer and merely tapped his foot against the ground. Resulting in a orange flash and an equaly orange magical dome popping into existence. Which rapidly expanded to encompass everyone and until it couldn't be seen anymore.
Shrugging off the exhaustion, Julian explained with a neutral expression. "That's a spell I designed yesterday. Now we have 12 days. So we could do nothing for two days and the resulting training time would still remain unchanged."
"Time distorsion, really? That's so unfair, why couldn't I have gotten that instead?" Issei whined at the back of the group causing Julian a twitch of his eyebrows.
"Shut up Issei, you and Asia are too weak right now to be of any use in this. So stay put and try to learn something from this."
There was plainty of questions on everyone else lips, but they wisely decided to stay silent.
Julian eyed them and seeing nobody move, scowled. "I even gave myself an handicap by using up almost all my magic! What are guys afraid of?"
Kiba tentively answered, scratching the back of his head with an hesitant smile. "I don't want to sound demeaning, but isn't all of us a bit too much, Julian-San? I don't think even Riser himself as he his would be able to come out unscathed of an all out assault of us all."
Julian quirked an eyebrow and mused to himself. "Oh, really?"
"Then as you guys are too stubborn, you give me no choice."
Julian coldly glared at all of them. "If you will not come to me, then I'll come to you... God."
Profiting from the flinch the holy word inflicted upon the devils, Julian suddenly blurred and appeared behind the group, washing his killing intent over them for good measure.
The thing with having multiple opponents at once was that you had to choose who to take out first. That's why high priority targets existed. Healer... Glass canon... The powerhouse...
Or in this case... the leader.
One step was all it took for Julian to cross the distance between himself and Rias. He smiled as Koneko was already on her way to put herself between him and Rias in answer to killing intent.
Unfortunately, she was far from fast enough. As barely had she begun to run that Julian swiftky karate chopped an almost none of the wiser Rias in the neck and thus knocking her out.
That was poor combat awareness and reflexes.
But there was someone way faster than Koneko, it was Kiba. Who with his sacred gear summoned a sword of light and was upon Julian. Only a second too late.
Julian in answer to the swordman's assault planted one foot in the ground and kicked a veritable shockwave of dirt and grass toward the blond knight. Cutting his sight in the process.
Stomping on the ground and using the faint sound of Kiba's sword sizzling in the air. Julian proceeded to jump through the dirt and sucker punch Kiba in the stomach. Making him sputter and spit out saliva as he bent in two. Twisting his sword's arm behind his back and making him drop his sword. Julian took in a chokehold Kiba and turned to put him between a casting Akeno and himself. Making her immediatly amend her attack for a lack of option.
Koneko took her time, but it couldn't be helped. Using the time she used to think about her options with an hostage. Julian knocked out Kiba and simply threw him roughly at the white haired-girl.
She fell in his trap as she caught him out of reflex, summoning a bit of PoD to offset a lightning bolt sent his way. Julian walked almost leisurely toward Koneko as he reprimended her. All the while neutralizing casually the spells thrown at him. Much to the growing frustration and despair of a violet-eyes girl.
"Too slow, in acts and in movements. Too caring also. Now, let's test your reaction speed." Like a ghost, he disappeared from Koneko's view and unlike her prediction, he didn't appear behind her. But simply to her left, in her dead angle.
She had since long dropped Kiba, but it was made on purpose by Julian. As he wanted to test how strong she was exactly.
As he caught a fist sent his way and deviated it easily, Julian had his answer. Adequately strong, but lacking in control.
Knocking Koneko out after an attempt to kick at his balls. A very valid strategy in this case. Julian surveyed the little battlefield, he certainly had his work cut for him.
"Well, that was easy. Also depressing."
Oh right, there was someone still standing.
~Akeno's PoV
Strong... Very strong... Unlogically so. Was her new impression of Julian who she met around the same time as Issei. She watched helplessly as he shrugged off her strongest attacks like they were nothing and knocked her teamates with the same ease that he breathed.
She always held some mild interest and some questions for the eccentric blond that was apparently her king's newphew. Why was he like this? Who was he exactly? Why did he seem to know so much? Interest that was piqued after his strange outburst at the dodgeball game and how he acted Yesterday with Riser.
Initially, when they asked him about his strentgh, she didn't really know what to make of it. And after that when he stated that he was more often than not more talented than his peers. She shook it off as boasting and lost some interest for him. In her defense, it was hard to believe for someone your own age to be so much better than you. And even harder to only take it from his own words.
But now, as Julian slowly approached her, his attitude uncaring of the threat she posed. Stepping over the bodies of her inconscious friends. A wry smile with an almost imperceptible disdain in his gaze. She had to reassess her opinion of him as in th end, he wasn't a bragging. She also had to resist the envy to squirm under his gaze as a faint blush painted her cheeks.
"So, do you believe me now? Or do you want to be knocked out too?"
Averting her gaze from the sight of his overbearing presence. She cleared her throat. "I don't think that's necessary, Julian-Kun. You proved your point very, very well."
"Mmmh. That's good then. If you're willing, then I would like to go through the things I observed you could greatly improved upon during this fight. As well as the training program I made for you, as I lacked details about you at the time."
"I also have some questions about demonic magic. If you would be so kind to answer." Julian added after some thoughts.
As for herself, she shook her head as her eyes surveyed everyone passed out on the dirt. She smiled softly and answered. "That's fine, I guess there's indeed nothing else to do right now besides waiting for Kaichou and the other to wake up. Hoping they wake up at all, of course." She joked. To let out a bit of her accumulated tension.
Julian waved her off. "I only broke the spine of two of them. But we're devils right? So they'd be fine. Should all wake up within an hour or two, thrust me." He smiled at her rassuringly. As if he was saying that everything would be fine and that he wasn't joking.
Her smile changed to one of confusion and worry as Julian's face didn't change. He was joking, right?
