Operation: Grilled Chicken For Dinner — Begin

(A/N: I think it's one id not the better paced action chapter I've wrote yet. Also one of my most well written at all really. Please tell me your thoughts about it in the comments bellow!!?.)

"This took quite a bit out of me. But it will not be a problem. At least, I should be back to full by the time the fighting begin, even with this." Akeno's informed Rias and reached out with a hand to the rest of the group with an hand.

"Now, this work better by touch. Please don't mind the tingle~." Saying this, she touched everyone's shoulder. Each time making their whole body drain of any colors and become black as ink.

"Julian-San was right, illusion are really a good tool to have." Kiba hummed while looking himself over.

"This is so cool!" Issei watched his hand disappear into the dark as he passed it through the door of the ORC and put it outside.

"Can't wait to use my new spell." He whispered that part and laughed wickedly under his breath.

'Wait, wouldn't I see almost nothing in this darkness? FUCK!'

"Kiba, Issei. Here are your mark, follow the red dot and you'll find Rias and the purple for me. To activate and deactivate it, you only have to tap the back of your hand twice." Akeno's told them as both boys proceed to do as she said, a circle with two luminous dots appearing on their respective hand.

"A device to track beautiful girls? This remind me of some game I used to play..." Issei mused and scratched the back of his head when everyone's gaze turned toward him.

"Right... Sorry... I may be a little stressed."

"Don't worry, Issei. As long as we all do our best here. I'll be satisfied." Time stretched itself as Rias stated toward Issei but said to everyone present, including herself.

Shaking her head ruefully, she crossed her arms. "Now's not the time. Our side is ready, the battlefield is set. Only moving the pieces remain, you know what to do." Everyone nodded solemnly before a small smile crossed their face remembering the training leading to this instant.

It was a bitter smile.

~Riser's headquarter

"Oooh? It seems dear Rias has something in mind. Something she think she can win with." Riser shook his head, a lazy expression on his face and an amused glint in his eyes.

"Should we change strategy, lord Riser?"

Riser scoffed and waved his hand. "No need for that, Yubelluna. As long as I'm here, no matter what Rias throws at us, we'll win easily in the end."

"It's certainly not some petty clouds that'll make a difference. Keep to our initial plan and our usual strategy."

An arrogant grins creeped his way unto his face. "Also, girls... I want you to show Rias and her slaves no pity. I heard some rumors that this hateful new scion of Sirzechs had an hand on their training..."

His grin slowly morphed into a cruel sneer. "So, in the possibility that these rumors are true... When you fight, crush them."

—————

"Ergh! These clouds are so annoying! Even with our night vision, it's so dark I almost can't see if there's a tree barely ten meters in front of me or not." A girl with a maid uniform complained.

"Maybe it's their strategy - annoy us to death." The other girl in maid uniform quipped.

"I mean, they can't see much more than what we see, right? So what's the point to all of this?" The first girl asked in puzzlement.

"Be quiet you two, if there were enemies nearby. They would have no need for sight to know where we are with how loud you are." Another girl with tan skin whisper-hissed at the two maids.

"Moo! Shuriya-Chan! No need to be this serious, you know as well as I that we are merely bait and distraction. There's no way we'll ever reach enemy territory this early in the game. And if we do, then good! Besides, if there was truly someone that could hear us. We'll already have been ambushed." The second maid pouted, though she couldn't be seen by anyone.

*sigh*"You're right, but still..."

"Don't worry, this game is nothing but already won. Speaking of winning, their headquarter should be just'a little bit further." As they continued foward, the first maid squinted at the forest.

"Hey, I think something just move right there. Did you see?" As she turned herself to her two companions. She was met with the sight of the other maid them having been impaled through a black sword from the back and vanishing into blue particles while the tan-skinned girl was swiftly decapited by a dark figure.

She barely had time to register the scene before she heard a loud sound coming from behind her.

"BOOST!"

She felt an impact on the back of her head, heard something cracking, and her world turned blacker than night.

—————

"Well, that was easy." Issei scratched the back of his head as the maid vanished from the dimension and their elimination was announced through the battlefield.

"Are you sure they'll be fine?" Issei asked to Kiba for the second time as his face became unsure.

"Yes, Issei. This place is a simulation, when we die. We simply are brought back tot he real world, disqualified for the rest of the game. Though we do feel all the pain of our injury in here." Kiba patiently explained, making Issei wince.

"Also, this would have been stranger if it hadn't been easy. You heard them, they were the weakest of Riser's team, middle-class devils without scared gears. Merely sent here as an unavoidable distraction. Simple pawn, not swift knights or durable rooks. Don't let your guard down. This is merely the start."

"Should I take offence to that?" Issei squinted at Kiba.

Kiba shook his head ruefully and smiled, amused. "No, you're different. You took all eight pawns all for yourself and have the boosted gear. Now come, we need to regroup with the others fast."

—————

"So we're at the gym, now what? There's nobody else here." One of two twin with green hair said as she shifted on her feet awkwardly, surveying the empty area with her eyes.

"Now we wait for either the enemy to show up, or to receive further directives. You know that." Another girl with blue eyes and black hair answered.

"Of course I know that Xu-Chan! But it's soooo boring. Don't you find it boring too Mira-Chan?" The green haired girl turned herself toward the blunette of the groupe.

"It's Riser-Sama order." Mira answered if it was all the explanation needed.

"Awww, you're all no fun."

"Suck to be you Nel." The other twin grinned at her sister.

"WHAT!? Ile you traitor! I know you want to let go and play with our little baby just as much as I do! So don't play smart with me!" Nel lovingly stroke a chainsaw she suddenly brought up from nowhere.

"No way, we may be twin. But I'm no-" The lights of the gymnasium went out.

Nobody said anything for a while.

"Eh, guys? I think we're under atta-" Whoever said that didn't get to finish their sentence as lightning crackled and flashed in the dark, a girly scream resounding through the dark hall because of it.

"I'm fine, I was the target! Everyone to the exit! We can't fight like this!"

Hearing the voice of their rook, the three pawn immediatly listened to the command and rushed toward the back exit. But not before an ominous dark red line of magic pierced the hall from beggining to end, leaving a vanishing blue silhouette behind. And the name of the person eliminated resounding. It was Ile, one the two twin.

Just as Mira and Nel were about to reach the exit, they stopped right in their track as the same voice as earlier cried out.

"N-NO! Don't go to the exit! The one who said to go there wasn't me! I couldn't speak because I was seizing up from the lightning strike! Go through a wall instead! You have to inform Riser-Sama that their king isn't in her base and of her startegy!"

Both girls froze for a split second as they processed the information.

Deciding that the second voice was much more credible than the first, they wanted to run away from the exit and toward a wall but before they could even take their first step~

"Too late." A small voice echoed through the darkness and they were both smashed into the ground.

They could do nothing other than struggling in vain against the iron grip of their opponent. It took only a few seconds for their attacker to release them, only for Mira to be taken out immediatly afterward with a stomp to the stomach and the other by a bullet of POW to her head.

(A/N: Poor Mira. F for her in the chat please.)

"My, my, you are quite a bit sturdier than I thought you would be. But I guess it's to be expected of a High-Class Rook. Though I wonder how much more of these you can take." Akeno licked her lips and smiled at Xuelan, who was restrained by unpleasant looking lightning chains. Chains who were making her weakly seize up in permanence because of the electricity running through her.

"Quit playing with her, Akeno. We have to move out soon before Riser's queen come investigate our position."

"Why don't we bring her with us. She could tell us about Riser strategy and where all the others are grouped up. I can restrain her well enough. And she wouldn't be a danger even if she escaped. Besides maybe Koneko, we're all faster than her." Akeno proposed. Putting a pondering expression on Rias' face while Koneko stayed silent.

"I- I will never betray Riser-Sama" Xuelan, through gritted teeth and pain was able to utter.

"Oh, don't worry. I'm sure you'll find one of my peerage's member very persuasive." Rias smiled lightly.

Xuelan face paled. "Y-you would torture me?"

"Torture? Of course not. Well, not of the physical kind at least. And it mainly work on those of the female gender. So I would like to call it more a special persuasion method of our." Rias smile became ominous. Making Xuelan gulp and shudder.

(A/N: Rip Issei. F for him in the chat please. Though not really.)

~Riser headquarter

Riser didn't do anything but tsk in annoyance at hearing his peerages member being taken down one by one.

"It was expected of Mira and the other. But I thought Xuelan could take out at least one of them. Though It's a bit strange that she was eliminated so long after those of her own group. Maybe she did give out a fight after all."

"Well, it don't really matter. As long as they fall in my trap. One of them is garanteed to fall. Then they'll lose their momentum and be much easier picking."

...

"Who are you talking to Onii-Chan? Are you perhaps talking to yourself? I sure hope not, because I'll have to tell dad about this if it's the case."

Riser sent an annoyed glance at his sister and shook his head. "You wouldn't understand, Ravel. Now shoo! Shoo! Go play outside and stop annoying your big brother while he is working."

Ravel crossed her arms. "But it's your servant who's doing all the work though. You're not doing anything."

Riser glanced at her and grinned. "Of course I'm not doing anything Ravel."

Opening his arms widely, he proclaimed. "I'm the final boss!"

~Monitoring room

"Was it you that taught them this strategy?" Sona asked halfmindedly, already thinking about the most potent counter to such a strategy and realising that it has much flaw despite its initial success. It likely wouldn't have worked against an opponent other than Riser and a serious opponent.

"Not really, I merely taught them the importance of stealth and my rather basic comprehension on the subject. Illusions though was something I drove into their brains for this fight. Well, more in Akeno than anyone else, as she is the one most versed in magic. All in all, Rias came with it on the spot."

"You should have went with Grayfia-San and been an official guest of this match with how much insight you can give about Rias' strategy." Sona shook her head wrily, an amused glint in her eyes.

"This is merely the beginning, Riser is far from being eliminated." Julian stretched and yawned, making himself comfortable in his seat, as if he merely was watching some tv show.

"Indeed, even if it's a freshly promoted one, It's very unlikely for High-Class devils to be able to bring down an Ultimate-Class. The lowest odd of it happening would be if they were ten against one, and highly capable to boot. And Rias doesn't even have ten members in her team yet." Sona nodded and sighed regretfully.

"s' that so?" Julian answered lamely and became silent. His eyes flashing secretly at the information. A small smile rising on his lips.
