Conversation with Nanami

"It may sound like a breach of privacy but I have to ask you," Nanami starts slowly, he doesn't want to sound like he's forcing answers out of you but he knows this conversation is necessary if he wants to help you two. Maybe he won't have to deal with any of these if he just choose to ignore you and Hiroki but he can't turn a blind eye to this. Not when he knows what kind of dangers would follow you if Hiroki's existence was known, not when he sees you all confused and clueless to the dangers that surround you, not when he saw a glimpse of hope and gratitude shown on your face when he said he could help back then. He had already quit being a Jujutsu sorcerer and he could've turned a blind eye to this. Yet, he finds himself wanting to help.

Maybe it was the look on your face that made him want to help you or maybe he just couldn't turn a blind eye to a serious matter like this. But, it doesn't matter now. He needs to have a conversation with you first.

"What do you know about the father?" He finally asks, studying your face almost carefully.

"I don't know much..Just his name and his contact number. He also told me he was a teacher but I don't know where he teaches .Except for his name and that he was a teacher, I really don't know anything else." You admit.

Nanami doesn't know how to comment on that. Surely, it's not a surprise that Gojo didn't reveal anything about being a Jujutsu sorcerer but apart from that, he pretty much told her the truth. It's just that his version of truth wasn't complete.

"Does he know?" He finds himself asking a question he already know an answer to.

You shake his head as he expected, "I tried to tell him back then but it was as if he disappeared into thin air. He changed the only contact I know and there was no way to reach him anymore." He hears you laugh almost bitterly, "That's when I realize how little I know of him and sometimes, I even wonder if I really know his name. Maybe he could've given a fake name. I don't know."

"Gojo Satoru." He hears you whisper. Your voice shake a bit and you look hurt even at the mention of his name, Nanami notices.

"That is his real name." He finds himself saying as if he hoped that would be enough to make you feel a bit better.

You laugh at that, "So, at least I knew his name."

"He's also a teacher. He teaches at Jujutsu Tech in Tokyo." Nanami says.

"I see. Not everything was a lie. But, I still don't know how it's supposed to make me feel better."

Nanami swallows. He also doesn't know why he wanted to do that in the first place.

Awkward silence took over and you finally said after a while, "It's fine. It's been years after all. So, let's just get to the point. You said it was about something important and ....about him."

"Gojo san...is also known as the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer because he possessed both six eyes and limitless. And, your son inherited both from him." Nanami starts.

"Is it a bad thing?" You ask.

"The cursed technique itself is not a bad thing but the thing is there could not be two people possessing six eyes, at least theoretically. Yet, your son has somehow inherited six eyes. It's a huge matter and if this was known, I don't know what could happen to you," Nanami explains.

"Hiroki's going to be in danger ? Please , there must be something we can do, right?"

"I can't think of anything that will solve this. You can delay them by hiding but eventually, he will be found. Or, you can seek protection from someone who can protect you both."

And Gojo is that someone. But, it was left unsaid. Not that it would have needed as you know what he wanted to say ,with him mentioning Gojo being the strongest and all, but you can't bring yourself to go find Gojo, the one who ghosted you years ago for help.

"Can you please help Hiroki...? I know it's too much to ask but ..I think it's better if I never see him again." You didn't mean to say that out loud but you somehow ended up saying.

"Excuse me?" Nanami is taken aback by your words.

"Nothing, I....I was just..." "I know I can't just expect you to help me with everything. It's just asking too much from you."

"I ..." Nanami opens his mouth to say something but you continue before he could say anything.

"I didn't mean to ask so much but I still meant what I said about not wanting to meet him again. At least not for now." You say. "I'm being selfish, I know. It might be better for Hiroki if I just go and ask for his help yet I can't..."

Part of Nanami wants to tell her she needed to tell Gojo but another part of him wants to help her hide Hiroki instead. Nanami shook his head because he knows how dangerous it could be and he could think of many ways that could go wrong with that. Yet, when he remembers how you look hurt at the mention of the plan, he finds himself agreeing to your plan. He warned himself he was being irrational yet, he couldn't bring himself to stop you.

"Alright, I'll see what I can do." Nanami starts slowly while meeting your eyes, "But as soon as something goes out of our control, I'll be contacting him."

You nod your head.

"Good."

Nanami still didn't realize why he acted that irrationally.
