Dai Yi!

"Do I join as an apprentice or do some other side task?" Chao Li deeply pondered.

After deep contemplation, "I think its best to join as an apprentice so that I can learn alchemy and could earn contribution points easily afterward." He muttered,

"But whom do I select as a master?" He was conflicted.

"I need to choose the best, but since I am a member Of Floating Feather Faction, the other faction members won't accept me as their apprentice, so I can only look after the members of Floating Feather Faction," He thought inside.

"I think I should contact Senior Li Shan, and maybe he would guide me in this matter,"

As he thought he called Li Shan,

After four rings, Chao Li call had been lifted, and immediately after he greeted, "Hello, Senior Brother Li Shan,"

"Hello, Chao Li." Li Shan replied and continued, "Chao Li, I didn't think your affinity level and level of spirit was so great! You brought a huge shock to our other members and me."

"Senior Brother, You are praising me so much!" Chao Li embarrassingly replied.

"You are worthy of my praises," He seriously said,

"Senior Brother, Leave that topic." Chao Li wheedled and said, "Senior Brother, I want to join as an apprentice under some senior alchemist, so can you guide me a person you knew,"

"Oh! You have already taken your decision, ah! You sure are decisive," He replied and immediately went to deep thought,

After some profound calculations, Li Shan seriously replied, "Chao Li, In outer division, Tier-Four alchemist is the highest rank. But they are all elders of the department, and they won't teach or appoint some novice alchemist to assist them."

"You might not know, alchemy involves a great failure, and that's why elders don't want to increase their level of failure by taking some new disciple as their apprentice helper." Li Shan seriously said, and Chao Li also nodded as what Li Shan said was quite convincing,

"And below elders, we have Tier-Three, Tier-Two, and Tier One alchemists. I and some other senior disciples are Tier-One Alchemists, and we are in the process of learning, so we can't teach you anything. And I think, Tier-Two alchemist isn't enough for your talent, so we can only look for some Tier-Three alchemist." Li Shan said,

"Umhumm!" Chao Li hummed.

"Our faction has a few Tier-Three alchemists in the outer division, and in those alchemists, I think two are perfect for you,"

"Who are those two, Senior Brother," Chao Li anxiously asked,

"Well, one of them is named Senior Hao Ye, and as I said, he is a Tier-Three alchemist. He is calm and friendly and would teach the best to his apprentices."

"Other is Senior Dai Yi, and when compared to Senior Hao Ye, his level of alchemy is so great, and in fact, he would have become an Elder if he isn't doing some stupid research! He is short-tempered and aggressive and would always punish and scold his apprentices for slight mistakes, and that's why so many disciples afraid to work under him." Li Shan awkwardly explained.

"So, Chao Li, which one will you choose?" He sternly asked.

Chao Li thought for a long time and then solemnly replied, "I choose Senior Dai Yi!"

Li Shan was taken aback by Chao Li's reply, so he surprisingly exclaimed, "You chose Senior Dai Yi!" and continued,

"You sure are different; Everyone is afraid even to meet Senior Dai Yi, but you choose to work under him. You sure are gutsy!"

Chao Li remained calm, and Li Shan said, "Well, Chao Li, Since you choose Senior Dai Yi, you almost won't get any competition, but I can't guarantee whether Senior Dai Yi would accept you as his disciple or not!"

"No problem, Senior Brother Li Shan. I will have other choices then, correct?" Chao Li calmly asked.

"Yes! So don't be disappointed if Senior Dai Yi hasn't accepted you." He said.

Chao Li hummed as an agreement.

"Ok, Chao Li, you go back to your room first, and by tomorrow, I will notify you about Senior Dai Yi's decision, and he may even require your attendance to select you, so be ready for that." He said.

Chao Li agreed. After that, those two hung up the call.

After that, Chao Li went back to his room and waited for the next day.

The day had come, so did the Li Shan call, "Hello, Chao Li, Good morning,"

"Good morning, Senior Brother Li Shan!" Chao Li greeted.

"Chao Li, I talked to Senior Dai Yi yesterday about you, and he said that first, he wanted to meet you to see whether he would accept you as an apprentice or not."

"So would you come along with me to meet him," Li Shan asked.

"Sure, Senior Brother," Chao Li replied.

"Ok, I will be waiting for you at the lobby of our department, so come and meet me, and I will take you to him!" Li Shan instructed.

"Ok, Senior Brother, I will be coming right away!" Chao Li said and hung up the call.

He immediately started moving to the alchemist department, and in half an hour, he reached the department.

As he went in, he saw Li Shan waiting for him in the lobby of the department,

Chao Li immediately went in his direction, and after reaching him, he said, "Hello, Senior Brother."

Li Shan nodded his head and continued, "Chao Li, come with me, and I will take you to Senior Dai Yi!"

Immediately after, Li Shan started moving, and he climbed the staircase in the middle and while moving started explaining,

"Chao Li, on the First floor, Tier-One and Tier Two alchemist resides, on the second floor, Tier-Three Alchemist resides, and on the third floor, elders, head, and vice head resides."

"And unless you have permission, you can't enter the second floor." He severely said, and added,

"But don't worry, I have taken permission for you and me on the name of Senior Dai Yi,"

Chao Li smiled, as Li Shan guessed his worry beforehand.

Slowly, they reached the second floor, and then, Li Shan seriously said, "Senior Dai Li resides in room no. 208. Remember it!"

Chao Li nodded and noted the number in his mind, and then they quickly reached Dai Yi's room. After reaching it, Li Shan gently asked, "Senior Dai Yi, It's me, Li Shan. Can I come in!"

After a few breaths, a cold voice rang in Li Shan and Chao Li's ears, "Come on in!"

Chao Li took a huge breath and muttered, "Here, I am in!"
