Chapter 16: Friends (Continuation Of First Day Of School. Pt3)

I waved at the boy as I disappeared.

'That kid is something else..'

Jared was now in a small cave. It had a simple bed with book shelves lodged everywhere. 'I wonder if he could be the one..' Jared then looked over and saw a skeleton. It was sitting crossed style with a black cape on it's back. It had a purple scabbard on its waist and a black crown on its head.

'The Dark Dragon..'

One of the 7 dragons that ruled over the world. It's stated that he was the strongest dragon as it completely mastered the darkness element. Only the light dragon, the 2nd dragon to master everything in its element, was able to keep the darkness dragon from rampaging.

'I could only absorb a small percent of its power...' He walked over to a fridge and grabbed a beer from out of it. 'Maybe I should let him try it..' He took a sip from the beer. 'It'll only cause him slight pain, but that's nothing if you have every skill that the Dark emperor had.'

He took another sip.

'He won't get every power at once though. He'll have to unlock it on his own, as the darkness emperor placed a spell on himself so that his fellow piers would have to work for it. It'll still be nice though..'

He took another sip.

'Oh what the hell Jared. You find a promising dark magic user after 150 years of searching and go mad when you see the first promising one. I can't blame you though as it's our roots.'

Jared took another sip as he talked to himself in his head.

'I'll ask him. If he says no, then that's fine. I can look for another. If he says yes however, my prayers will surely be answer.'

Jared took another sip, then crushed the can.

'I have yet to see your abilities though Haruto. I guess your upcoming fight should show me where your at right now.'

....

"For the first test, you will be shooting that dummy over there with magic."

I was regrouped with my class. We were now taking a test and the first required to hit a target 100 feet away. They area was like a shooting range, so I decided to go to the far end and station there.

"A gun would be too easy. My Axe as well.." I sighed out the put my palm out. A kunai appeared in my hands, causing me to smile.

"Hey.." I looked over at the tired voice and stared. "Your creation magic is cool..." She had bags under her eyes. "Who...Are you?" I was confused actually. I do remeber seeing a pink haired girl in my class, but trust me, I would definitely remember a pretty face like this one.

"I'm Rei.. I sit next to you....." She had short pink with a streak of purple in it. Her eyes had purple halos in them as well which made her stand out even more. She was short too, and wore a black hoodie over her uniform with the hood on.

"Damn she's hot." I spoke out, not knowing that I did, and turned back. Rei heard what I said and shrugged.

"Okay class.." We all looked back and stared at Amy. "I will come up to each and every one of you so you can show me that amazing power you have!" She cheered out with a clip board in her hands.

She then went down the row. Almost everyone shot out balls of their magic, hitting the intended targets head on. "Rei. When your ready.." She stood behind her with a clip board and paper. "Okay.." Her voice was quiet like usual as she put her hands out and closed her eyes.

In the blink of an eye, a huge, light blue, beam of what seemed to be colored rock shot out from her hands. It easily pierced the dummy, and even went through the back walls. "Good! You passed!"

The colored rock that made a solid beam then fell down and shattered like glass onto the ground.

"Crystal Magic..."

She then yawned out and crawled under the counter. She instantly fell asleep which surprised me. "Haruto! Your up!" She stood behind me, and I nodded. I then threw the basic kunai at the dummy, and pierced right above its nose.

"Such precision! You obviously pass!" I smiled at those words while hearing a 'tsk' go off at them. "Onto the next test!" We all nodded and left the room.

...

We were now outside.

The sun was bright and the birds were singing. 'This place really is like earth..' The feeling of nostalgia entered my head, causing me to smile. "What are you smiling about?" I stopped smiling and turned around.

There was a huge track that could fit a football field inside. "You must do one full lap. You have to get under 30 seconds as well. If you go higher than 30 seconds, points will be deducted."

We nodded at her rules. I then went over to the last lane which was 10 and started stretching. 'These clothes are gonna kill me..' Going off that thought, I decided to take my shirts off. The wind instantly hit me, making me smile at the cool breeze.

"Yo, Haruto." I heard a familiar voice talk to me. "Sick scar. Where did you get it?" Arthur looked at the scar marks on my back. "Where you whipped as a child or something?" I almost laughed at that until I realized it was kind of true.

"No. I just happened to cross paths with the wrong snake.." Hearing that, he instantly knew what snake I was talking about. "Y-You fought a tail whip snake?" I nodded at his words, and turned back around.

When I was about 8, i fought against a tail whip snake. It was 3 meter high and about 60 feet long. As the name suggest, its tail is comprised of a whip that comes at you at insane speeds. The shell of the snake is hard as well, making it one of the hardest monsters to fight out there.

Hell, the one I fought was considered a baby.

Anyways, its shell was considered tough, but I found a way to kill it. It opened its mouth at me, and that's when I found the perfect opportunity to strike. I shot a bullet right into its mouth and it pierced its brain, making it die instantly.

"Arthur.." He lined up on lane 9. "What?" He looked over at me. "I heard you called in a dark magic sorcerer for me. Why is that?" A loud bang went off and we started running. "Well, I felt kind of bad because of what my sister did to you so.."

He awkwardly laughed as we started slowly turning. "Why are you being so nice to me now? Don't tell me you want to get on my good side so you can get closer to my mother and sister." He heard this and shook his head. "I'm sorry if it seems that way.."

He sighed a bit. "But no. I'm gonna be honest and say that I despised you when I first laid eyes on you. You were surrounded by 3 beauties which made me jealous of you.." We crossed the finish line together.

"After my father spoke to you that day, I cursed you so much, and even asked my father if I could go out and kill you." He waited for my reaction, but noticed that I didn't have one so he continued.

"Over the past week, I started to realize that it wouldn't be fair to take your women away. It wouldn't be fair to kill you, and let your women get stolen in the process. It wouldn't be.." He bawled his fist.

"This morning, I was making threats just to keep up my 'image' as Prince. I wanted my threats to scare you, but I didn't realize that you wouldn't back down from fighting me." I took a sip of water.

"Haruto. I'm sorry for everything I've done to you.." He kneeled down, shocking everyone around. "Will you forgive me?" He had his head down as I stood over him. 'You want me to forgive you...' He wanted to kill me and take my woman at one point, but realized that it was wrong.

He talked behind my back in a way, but out of anger so its reasonable.

"Arthur.." I held my hand out. "Stop bowing. Your going to get me in trouble." I had a chuckle while talking. Arthur stared at me as he saw my smile.

'This Guy' Haruto and Arthur were having the same thought.

'I wonder if we could become friends..' Arthur took his hand and Haruto helped him up.

"Haruto."

"Arthur."

The wind blew, making our hair blow and sweat cross with each other.

""Do you wanna be friends?""

We asked the same question, surprising each other in the process.

""Sure.""

We both gave genuine smiles at each other.

Arthur Cambridge has been know as the 'Selfish Prince' as he does what he wants, when he wants. From that alone, he never truly understood friendship as he thought it was useless to have that sort of ties with someone else.

Haruto Smith has been know as 'The Richest Neet' as he rarely leaves the house to do things. From that alone, he never had any friends. Given the chance, he never took it. Given the opportunity, he never followed it. He just never understood, or had that connection with anyone.

Going off that, these two would seem like they'd never be friends in an eternity, but it seemed as if fate brought them together.

"That's amazing you two!" Amy cheered out. "You both got a score of 10 seconds and even became friends! That's wonderful!" For a L teacher, her words sure make me kind of happy.

"Alright! Next group!" We looked over and saw that Caroline was giving us the side eye while getting ready to run. "Your sister has issues bro.." We both sighed out.

"Yet she's somehow more liked by people. A world we live in huh?"

"Yeah, a world...."

A bang went off and they all started running. After about 5 seconds, someone crossed the finish line. 'A-A beast!' I backed up a bit as said beast started walking up to us.

'She's annoying, but her usage of magic is amazing. She controls her own bodies Gravity to make herself lighter. I think she does that with that scythe she has as well. Yeah, that makes sense. She takes the weight off it, combines it with her almost weightless body, and becomes one of the most dangerous things out there.'

"You've gone too far." She held the scythe up to my neck in a cold voice. "Your presence is causing a flux in society. Your brainwashing my brother. Your speaking to my brother. Your...'Friends' with my brother.." I moved her scythe away, but she instantly put it back.

"Hey!" Arthur placed his hand on her shoulder. The X in his eye was red with black dots in the corner of the X. "Lower your weapon. Now!" He yelled at her, causing the other students to look. "Stop interfering with my life Caroline." His grip tighten, surprising her.

"This is the first time I've ever made a friend, and your trying to ruin that. So what if he's causing a 'Flux' in society? So what if he's He's brainwashing me? Why does that matter to you, and why are you so involved?"

Caroline slowly moved her scythe down. "Smh. Your right. This has absolutely nothing to do with me. I'm sorry." She shrugged his hand off and walked away. His eyes then went back to orange, a frown plastered on his face in the process.

"My litter sister is getting bolder. I think that's because of you."

"Becaus of me? What did I do?" I think I knew, but I wanted to hear it exactly.

"My sister would never act like this. She thinks that commoners are the lowest of low. Seeing you however made her realize that not all commoners are some low life with no purpose. She basically thinks that she needs to set order again, and I guess she wants to do that, starting with you.."

He explained to me.

"Whatever you do, don't lose to my sister. Show her the power of a commoner. Show her that your not some trash that can be easily defeated." He smiled at me and I stared at him. 'The power of a commoner huh...' I stared laughing.

"Sure. I'll show your sister that I'm not someone to mess with." I gave a triumphant smile while staring into the sky.

....

"Okay class!" It's time for the duel exchange! If you want to fight someone, go ahead and call 'em out! You don't have to participate however if you have enough points. If you don't have enough points, you have to participate!"

We took a few more test before finishing, and we were now in a locker room. The boys were in one room while the girls were in the room next to ours. Amy stood outside our doors as she spoke to us.

"I challenge Haruto."

No one was surprised by her words.

"Okay.." She started writing something down. "Hartuo....Vs...Caroline... Got it!" She cheered out and I zipped up my gym uniform. Our gyms uniforms were Black in color with a Red, White, and Blue C in the middle.

"Good luck man." I looked over at Geo. He was the person with barrier magic. "I grew up protecting the princess and I must say, her pure strength is enough to crush a horse with her bare hands. Her gravity magic is also insanely strong."

"She's only 16, and yet she probably takes the title of strongest human already."

Okay Geo. I understand.

"Also-"

"Shut up mane."

"Okay.."

He continued putting his gym uniform on. Even if you weren't fighting, you still had to put one on. "Okay guys! I just got told that we have 3 matches in front of ours!"

Ours? What weird wording. "Perfect." Caroline walked out her locker room and looked into ours. "Isn't that perfect?" She gave me a smile. "Yeah, just perfect.." I shivered a bit and we all soon left.

After about 5 minutes of walking, we arrived in the stands. We sat down in the student section and waited. "Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!" An announcer spoke out. "Today we will be having a series of 4 fights. That's right! 4!"

The crowd screamed out. "And we also have 8 special guest with us here today!" As he said that, a huge dome surround the stadium. The lights went dark, then a single light flashed on a certain area in the stands.

"The King, Ralph, And His wife, Mary!" The crowd cheered even louder at their arrival. The stadium stayed dark, but the lights on the side made it seem like a fight in the night.

"We also have their two wonderful children here as well! Ladies and Gentlemen, give a round of applause to Kazuma, and Lily!"

Oh? They have more children? "Yeah. They don't like being in the spot light, so they don't get that much attention." Arthur noticed my confused face and answered it. "We also have the 4 holy hero's with us here today! Give another round of applause to Cory, Kennedy, Sabrina, and Micheal!"

People cheered out even louder. The 4 small children then waves their hands with smiles. After a couple minutes of cheers and announcements, it finally began.

"For the first match, We have Yamizuko, a fire users and Waturo, a water user, going against each other!" The crowd clapped and became quite soon after.

The 2 people then came onto the stage. "We have 1 rule okay?" The announcer came down. "No killing." That was all he said before running off the stage. "No killing? So decapitation is fine!" The fire user locked his hands together.

The water user only stood there.

"Begin!"

The fire user started twitching and he shot out out average size fire balls that were the size of pillows. The water user simply waved his hand, making a water wall appear. The fire evaporated from contact with the water.

The fire user then appeared through the steam with his leg stretched out. The water user quickly reacted and caught his leg. A wave of hear then came from below the water user and was hit by it, causing him to let go of the fire user.

"Your too fukin' easy!" He screamed out. The water user grunted a bit and slowly looked up with his hand on the side of his stomach. His gym uniform was burned all around the spot where he was hit at.

The two then continued to fight. The fire user was attack while the water user would defend. Because of his speed and precision though, the fire user was able to land hits like no other. The fire user then put his hands out and a concentrated beam of fire came out.

"I got this from the prince!" He shouted. The water user then made a thick water barrier, but it stopped nothing. The beam pierced the water then pierced his chest, causing him to fly towards a wall.

"Winner!" The announcer was already holding his hand. "Loser..." The announcer knew the water user lost as he was sent to the wall. The wall was made out of some of the hardest material in the world. It would be almost impossible for a student to pierce it.

"You shouldn't have stepped on my shoe punk!" He pointed at the water user while spitting on the ground.

The crowd cheered out at the victor and he walked off the stage while blowing out kisses.

"The water user should have attacked." Arthur said out with his arms crossed. "Well, they tried, but their water would instantly be burned by the wave of flames he emits." Arthur pondered for a bit then agreed. "Yeah. Your right."

The other 2 matches went by in an instant. One was between a fire user and earth user. The earth user trapped him inside of a hollow earth ball and the fire user was stupid enough to use his flames.

The second match was between a spirit user and nature user. Spirit users excell in brute force, smashing through almost anything. This wasn't enough however as he was caught by a vien and slammed against the wall repeatedly.

"Good luck man.." He patted my shoulder and I got up. Caroline did as well and we walked out the door together. "You changed my brother. I thank you for that." She spoke out with her eyes closed. I didn't respond however and we walked to the stage in silence.

We both got onto the stage, and went to different corners. "Oh. Big sis is fighting?" Lily, the 2nd daughter of the king, became surprised. "She's fighting someone with Weapon Creation magic dear. This isn't going to last long."

The family laughed at Haruto's downfall. "That's haruto?!" Micheal said in a loud, yet quiet voice. "Yeah..Whys he fighting the Princess though?.." They were all confused. "I hope he makes it out alive.." Cory said, causing the others to glare at him.

""No! He better make make it out alive!"" The 3 screamed at him.

"I'm not explaining the rules since you both know it by now correct?" We nodded at him.

"Well then! You may now begin!"

I instantly pulled my gun out and shot it. A noise of metal coming into contact instanly sounded out "You'll have to be faster than that." As she said that, she put her hand out and the bullet fell to the floor. It was split in half which surprised me even more.

I only had one single though when I saw that happen.

'I've actually lost..'
