Chapter 31: Impressions.
A big ass spear made up of gold like material was pointed at me. It was as big and thick as Larius and it sprouted from the dome.
"HALT YOUR MOVEMENT!"
Someone yelled at me. The voice sounded like it came from the dome itself.
"IF YOU MOVE EVEN AN INCH, WE'LL FIRE!"
'Oh? Will you now?'
I have been wanting to test out my reaction speed. 'Wait, think Haruto. If you manage to dodge it, then you'll be considered a threat. You want to make peace with these people and establish a trade among them don't you?'
'Hey. I'm going to set you down.' Hearing my whisper, she said 'No the hell you won't. They'll kill us.' Hearing this, I said 'It'll be fine. Trust me..' I then dropped her and screamed.
"I SURRENDER! PLEASE DON'T SHOOT!" I dropped to my knees and placed my hands behind my head.
The spear kept following my movements and after about 5 minutes, I heard an alarm go off. 'Damn it. So they still think we're a threat?' I was about to grab Jessica, fly off, and never see these people again when I saw an army of people in gold and black armor.
'They stole my palette..' They got closer to me and I slowly put my head down. The one in front seemed to be the leader as their armor seemed more advanced. "State your businesses. Now!" I heard a feminine voice.
"Please spare our lives! W-We just wanted to explore your city to buy stuff! Is that so bad?!" They immediately placed a sword under my neck, causing me to look up. When I did, I instantly heard murmurs. 'T-This man is..' The knight stared at his golden eyes.
"Please excuse my behavior!" She instantly kneeled down, causing the rest to instantly kneel down as well. "What?" I stared at the scene in front of me with confusion.
"Our ruler informed us that someone with your descriptions might arrive! We were told that if they do, give them the upmost respect!"
She then extended her sword out and said "I have dishonored my orders! I can't live anymore!" She sent the sword at herself, but was stopped. "What?!" She looked up and saw my hand extended out.
"Calm down okay?"
I weaved my fingers around and her sword flung away. "You didn't know. Its not your fault." I then helped up Jessica who was too stupified to talk. "Can we hurry up and go? It's hot out here."
I was now speaking causally, as I now knew this 'Ruler' had their eyes on me, meaning I was somehow important to them. "Yes! Please allow me too.." She then moved her hand around and the sand under me started shaking.
'Shes a knight and Mage? That's rare even over in the human continent.' What came up next was something along the lines of a two-wheeled passenger cart that you would see in Japan. "Please allow me to pull you sir." I shrugged and layed back.
Jessica, who was sitting next to me, snapped out of It and said "I-I wanna go back.." You know, I realized that jessica might be the first human to ever step into this place.
Alive that is.
"Part ways!" The others knights then moved out the way to the side and stayed stilled like actual guards. "Pleasse feel free to ask or say anything. I'm all ears now." Saying that, she took her helmet off and with her back towards me.
'Turn around damn it!' Although the scene wasnt that bad.
She had red-orange hair and a build of a teenaged girl. She was also quite tall and her ass was quiet plump. That's all I could tell from here though.
She the bent down and picked up the two handles. "We're ready." She nodded from my words and we began moving. The wheels on this thing were similar to that of sleds. So they aren't wheels actually.
They were long and thick, and it worked against the rough sand. We traveled towards the kingdom and in about 2 minutes, we got there.
A huge part of the grey wall then went in on itself and to the right. 'Definitely going to use that..' I was already trying to take notes on the things I saw. We then walked in and saw it all.
""Wow.""
It looked like ancient Egypt. That's all that I could say. Well, a little more advance actually. The building weren't broken down. They were fixed up, but they kept that same, sandy beige color.
"We can go meet the ruler if you like." I continued looking all around. The dome was see through from the inside, but on the outside, it was dark grey. 'I guess they were watching the whole time.' As I was thinking that, some people gather near us.
"Its a human." A woman with tan skin spoke out. She had black lines running from her forehead, over her eyes, down to her chin.
"They look weird.." A child said as they hung onto their mother. "He's the dragon rider though. He must be strong.." They all started speaking outloud like I couldn't hear them or something.
"Move! This man is an acquaintance of the Empress! Do you want to die for speaking to such a person in a calm manner?!" What she said immediately made them all quickly bow.
"W-We're sorry! Please don't kill us!" I stared at the woman. "Please mister! Don't kill us!" That child spoke out again. 'Damn it. She gave them all the wrong impression.' I cursed in my head as I got up.
"Listen kid.." I walked up to the small boy. He had no shirt on and....'Why do they all look japanese?' I noticed as I looked around. 'Is that the base look of this world? Japanese? Gonna..Gonna have to have a chat with God in the near future.' I slightly shrugged it off and bent down.
"I'm not a bad guy like she made me out to be. I like children in fact. They have cute faces.." I placed my hand on his head and moved it around. The wind blew a bit and I noticed that I was getting stares from all the people.
"What is it?" I looked around in confusion.
"Mister?" He boy looked up slightly. "You can...understand us?" The question made me stop thinking for a second.
'Oh yeah! I did read that book with the languages in them didn't I?' I nodded at myself and smiled. "Yep. Its a...skill of mine. Pretty cool huh?" I then bent back up, as I stared at their amazed faces.
"I can also do this.." His body then started floating up. "What?! He-He can move people without touching him?! He's...a God!" They people cheered out at what they were witnessing.
'Good..' I slighly smiled. 'With how much respect I have now, they should easily allow me to do most things here..' I'm not saying I'm going to go kill the Emperess or something to completely gain power over this city. It's nothing like that.
I'm just going to ask for the throne that's all.
