THE ZOMBIES OF SYPHILIS IN THE STREETS OF ITALY

The following story is told by the second of my ancestors who lived at that time and who was once a friend of Verónica Franco.

No one knew or had the slightest idea what syphilis was and the consequences of having it; until they had to experience all the horror and terror that it produced.

It was the fourteenth century, when they lived for the first time, that terrible and terrifying experience; worst of all, the kings did not hide this event from public light.

The first woman who gave him this disease called syphilis is a famous prostitute Verónica Franco.

Verónica Franco is the type of prostitute who is desired and acclaimed by all men; Also, it is the type of prostitute who has more sexual activity than the others.

At first, she felt nothing; but little by little, she saw how her skin began to detach from her body, her hair was falling out in heaps, she was increasingly haggard and her eyes were protruding, she could not articulate a word, her whole body was beginning to wriggling, as if it were something diabolical, he couldn't think of anything or anyone; he simply wanted what was happening to him to stop.

After a while, he began to walk strangely, with his feet totally turned and almost crawling and the worst of all is that, he only thought about quenching his thirst, looking for blood.

Veronica wanted blood as it could, to feel young and beautiful again, as she was before.

Someone had suggested that she should feed on humans if she wanted to feel and look beautiful like before. At first, he found the idea repugnant; but, afterward, he had no choice but to agree to that.

Little by little and without anyone seeing her, she began to feed on humans. Everything was going well for a while; until one of her friends who was passing that way and at that moment, saw Veronica, how she was feeding on a human, being alive.

The poor thing felt horror and disgust when seeing that spectacle who immediately ran to the kings to tell them what happened.

The kings had not only heard about that story; rather, they had knowledge of several stories, similar to that one.

They knew they had to put a stop to all that; so, they ordered them to burn them.

The soldiers complied with the order of the kings, killing all the undead, and thus, Italy was clean and free of the undead.
