The hospital was cold and I couldn't help it as I kept rubbing my hands together to keep them warm. I kept brewing them warm, I twirled to see my guard almost everywhere in the hospital. I couldn't stop panicking thinking about how Jane was doing.
"Hello?" I turned to notice the doctor who rubbed off the sweat from his face. "Congratulations sir, you just had a bouncing baby girl," the doctor said, enabling Marcus to shake him with a huge smile on his face.
I followed the doctor to her word to see her sleeping. The doctor had said she had passed out after delivery, after the baby was cleaned. I had carried her in my hands, she felt light and the most beautiful being I had seen.
I dropped the baby and went out to get some items for Jane. When I was back I opened the door to see her smiling and staring at me, "Marcus, this baby is so beautiful." she said with slight tears on her face.
"Yeah, she is, " I uttered, dropping what I had held on the side table. "What do you want to call her?" she asked me which made me go shocked, why was she asking me? "Why?" I attempted to let out but she just shook her head implying I give the name.
"Sofia?" I said as she nodded with a smile.
“SOFIA,” she also said before smiling at her.
We had been discharged from the hospital and there was a letter sent to me by my guard that the other Mafia's had taken over the affairs of my father's camping. I didn't care much but the fact that they were still bringing Jane to the mess made me mad.
I had decided that we would stay here since it was safe but Jane wanted us to go back to Italy. I kept rocking Sofia and clicking her toy as Jane had gone to make her some milk. She came back hurriedly and took Sofi from my hold as our hands brushed each other.
God? What was this woman making me imagine? How could I allow her to be in danger? How could I even survive now that I was attached to her? "You can just go to sleep, Marcus," she said and I shook my head indicating a No.
"I don't want to sleep with the thought that my princess isn't getting any," I said, touching Sofi's tiny hands. I moved her hand close to my lips before placing a soft kiss on them. I could feel her gaze on me but I didn't care.
"You have work tomorrow Marcus, I promise we will be fine," she said, making me a nod before placing a kiss on her forehead.

JANE POV
I looked at the face of Sofia. She had those beautiful blue eyes and she was just as beautiful as her father, sunshine wouldn't stop sitting around her. He must be fond of Sofia. The door of my room had slid open and a guard came inside. I was happy when he said we were leaving Chicago tomorrow.
"Baby sofi, did you hear that?" I asked and she giggled like she understood what I had just said. I couldn't believe that we were going back to Italy where I was from, I mean that exactly where my family was and just everything that I understood was from.
I couldn't believe that after multiple months of staying in Chicago I was going to Italy. That night I had packed all my important necessities and I couldn't wait for the next morning. The next morning I had dressed both Sofia and me in flowery baby pink clothing.
I stared at myself in the mirror and couldn't help but admire how I looked. The guard came and helped us with our stuff before following behind, Marcus was already in the car with some sun shades waiting for us patiently. He collected Sofia from me before putting his hands out for me to hop in.
"Hi?" he let out as I could feel my body go hot, his voice was croak in the morning and it sure was doing magic inside my body. Before I could say anything else he began to play with Sofia, it felt like Sofia was his new favorite person.
He kept on making funny faces which made her laugh. They seemed close which was bordering, what if she gets attached to him? I was beginning to get disturbed about that and I solely don't know why.
Throughout the ride to the airport, his whole focus was on Sofia while I just stared at the window. It was surprising how he loved Sofia so much and was ready to do anything for her, he sure didn't look like a kid type of person.
The car finally halted in front of the airport as we all came down to inhale the delightful air that kept slamming our skin. I couldn't believe that we were going back to Italy.
I held Sofia in her baby sling as we entered the airplane that was packed waiting for us. I was bolder than the first time I had entered the airplane, we sat down silently as the plane took off.
After a few hours, we heard the flight attendant asking us to put on our seat belts that the plane was going to land. When it had landed we strolled inside the airport and everything felt like home again, I was happy to be back here.
I looked around to see Marcus talking to his fellow guard. After a few minutes of waiting, he walked up to me. "I guess this is where we part ways, Jane, " he said, making me anxious. Why was he talking like this?
"I don't want you and Sofia getting mixed up with my issues, I want you to have a good life raising your daughter," he said, making my breathing hitch. What did he mean by that? Why did he then keep me in a city together with him just to come and say this to my face?
I could Feel my heart-shattering at his words. I felt like I was going to puke anytime soon, my heart was beating so much that I didn't even know if I could control the way my hands were trembling already.
"Aren't we coming with you?" my voice came out shaky and I hated myself for showing him how weak I was. He had raised my face to look at him with his two hands Holding them firmly, "The Mafia's want you, and I don't want to get Sofia involved." he said, staring into my eyes.
I looked up at him and said what I had never imagined would come out of my mouth.
"Marcus you are my family,"
