"Calm down." I said slowly, reaching out a hand to touch Travis' cheek. "It isn't that big of a deal." 


As my skin grazed his, Travis let out a growl of warning to escape. Pulling back my hand, I couldn't stop the sudden hurt that I felt towards his reaction. He was so mad that he didn't even want me to touch him. 


"This really doesn't have anything to do with you." I spoke slowly, trying to keep my emotions in check. "I don't see why you're so upset." 


Eyes flashing, Travis' face fell into a look of disbelief at what I had just said. 


"Has nothing to do with me?" Travis repeated slowly, trying to reign in his rage. "Tell me how seeing my cousin attempt to take advantage of my mate doesn't have anything to do with me?" 


What about cousins? Wait, did Travis really just say cousin? 


"You and Gregory..." I said, my eyes growing wide. "You are cousins?" 


"That's right." Travis confirmed. "That bastard's father is my dad's brother."
