Chapter 9

He immediately moved away from me as if my skin had burned him and as much as I hate to admit it I loved him touching me and his warmth.

'Fuck' he mutters not daring to look at me.

'Don't think of this as anything Zoe it didn't mean anything I just haven't been with a woman for a while' he says with his evil smirk.

'I mean look at yourself I would never be with someone like you' he then left me standing there.Again he got to break me, again and I let him.

I sunk into my knees and within a few seconds I feel tears rolling down my face. I know I'm not pretty and all but I don't know why hearing it from him hurts more.

I don't know how long I sat at the floor but soon enough it was dark. I forced myself to stand up so I can go take a shower.

As I was heading towards the shower I see the door was not closed all the way. I change routes and I find myself opening the door to check if there's anyone luring around and to my surprise there's no one.

This could be my way out I say to myself I immediately exit the room I don't know where I'm headed but I have one goal in my mind and that is to find a door and get the heck out of here.

I walk for minutes and I slowly lose faith that I will be able to make it out of here.

I continue walking only to hear someone yelling something.

'Hey where the fuck do you think you are going' a man was yelling but I didn't stick around to hear him I decided to take of running'

I just continue running not knowing where I'm going but I really don't care as long as I lose that guy.

I end up walking into a room just so I can lose him. The room was dark but light illuminated at the right of the room. I decided to go and check it out.

As I was on my way towards the area my mind started playing tricks with me. So I halted maybe I shouldn't go in I mean they say curiosity kills the cat. But I mean it could be nothing really I mean a sneak pick won't hurt anyone.

Oh gosh what am I doing just go in its probably nothing I try to reassure myself. Okay my mind is made up I mean there could be a door back there and I won't know until I see right?

So I took slow steps towards the light and as soon as I got there, I was immediately hit with a horrible smell oh my what do they put in here.

I was not prepared for what I see in front of me oh my God. I can't believe he could do this oh who am I kidding if he is capable of killing then why can't he do this.

My heart broke for this guy who was tied up with his hands behind a chair and his legs tied to the chair's legs. His face was swollen blood evident in his face.

I rushed to him and kneeled in front of him he was unconscious. I tried to wake him up.

'Hey hey wake up' I say softly but a little loud while I shake his head softly careful not to hurt him.

I try it for a couple more times then his eyes flatter opened but only one eye was able to open.

'Hey are you okay?' I ask him, I try to look around for water but it wasn't there.

'Wh...dr... ryu?' he asks me but I'm unable to understand him.

'W-who are y-you' he is finally able to say.

'I'm Zoe and you are' I try to smile at him but I know I'm failing miserably because tears were flowing down my eyes.

'Zach' he says.

'What happened to you Zach'

'I borrowed money from him and I couldn't pay him back in time so he-he' he begins sobbing so I squeeze his hand looking at him.

'He took me and he said he will show me what he does to people who are unable to keep their promises so he-he started torturing me' he says as he continues breaking down and all I can do it reassure him that it's alright.

'Okay look I'll try to get you out of here okay' I say as I start looking for something to cut the ropes with.

That's when I notice a bottle and I take it and I break it and take the sharp piece.

'Okay so this might hurt a little because your ropes are tight okay?' I say and he looked scared.

'Okay okay let's just get this over with' he says as he closes his eyes.

So I start cutting the rope but it's hard because I don't want to hurt him but the ropes are tight around him.

But as I was doing it I am suddenly jerked up to my feet and I see a very angry Chance looking at me.

'What the fuck do you think you are doing in here Zoe and why the FUCK ARE YOI TRYING TO FREE MY PRISONER!' he says and only gets louder.

'I asked you a fucking question' he says as he starts to tighten his grip on me and I knew it was going to leave a bruise.

'you are hurting me Chance' I say as I start pulling out of his grip but he just tightens even more.

Then he starts dragging out of the room.

He leads me back to my so called room.

'I have been very generous towards you Zoe so don't give me a reason to fucking kill you you got that?' he says looking at me so angrily what the heck is his deal he has a frickin human being locked up in his house with no ounce of remorse.

He finally let's me go and I immediately grab hold of my now sore wrist and I start rubbing it.

' Now if I find out that you tried to escape again Mark my words I will shoot that pretty head of yours and feed it to my dogs you got that' he says glaring at me.

'do you understand me Zoe' he repeats.

'Ye-yes' I say looking down scared to look at him.

I don't know what happens but his hand suddenly heads towards me and I cower hiding my face afraid of what is to happen.

'Fuck' he mutters.

'I won't fucking hit you' he says angrily and with that he immediately walked out of the room and this time he made sure to close the door and locked it.
