DESPERATE MUCH, AREN'T WE?!

Gerald was on his way to his hut after watching Theodora leaving Mr Collin's place when he sensed something strange around him. He had his senses on alert, and he resumed walking, but then he felt like someone had run from his left. 

"Who is it?" He asked daringly.

Gerald had been through so much that he didn't know what fear was. The only thing that made him attracted to the danger was his curiosity and sense of confidence.

He got no response. He waited for a minute staring in that way but straining his ears to catch any other movement around him but to no use. With another harsh exhale of breath, he turned to leave but was taken aback by seeing someone standing right in front of his face.

"Hello Mr Livingstone!"

Gerald could feel his heart raced in surprise.

"I hope I haven't scared you!"

He sensed the underlying taunt in that voice.
