DO YOU HAVE ANY SCARS?

Gerald was curiously listening to Theodora. She kept her eyes on the land ahead of her, but Gerald hadn't wavered his gaze from her face even for a second. He wanted to know the whole story.

Why?

He didn't know.

"What happened then?" He asked.

Theodora's cheeks flushed with the pink colour of embarrassment, but she told him nonetheless.

"I saw a dog resting at the roadside. I always wanted a pet but my father never allowed me. I was curious and wanted to take that dog in my hands and to home. So I went near it and..."

"And?"

"I held his tail and began dragging him towards the carriage." She admitted.

She waited for two breaths before Gerald burst out laughing. He clutched his stomach. All the seriousness was gone from his features.

Theodora knew this would be his reaction and thus hesitated to tell him. But now that she watched him laughing goofily like that, she regretted opening her big mouth.
