THIS IS NOT YOUR PAPA'S MANSION!

On the fourth day, Theodora's eyes were again looking for the man with big green eyes waiting for her somewhere on the road to Mr Collins' nursery. With every day, she was losing hope, but a distinct voice inside her told her that she shouldn't.

The nursery was nearing fast, and Theodora's desperation was rising with that every crossed metre. Bertha could see that too but remained silent. She looked out of the opposite window with a straight face when her eyes widened.

Before Bertha could reconcile her expressions of shock, Theodora caught them. She too now looked out of the window to see what made Bertha so surprised.

"Stop the carriage! Stop!!" Theodora yelled.

The coachman stopped the carriage in hurry, and as soon as it came to halt, Theodora opened the door and jumped out of it. Bertha didn't run to chase her because she knew it was useless at that point in time. She felt anger surging inside her, something that rarely happened before with her.
