Bertha and Zerith stared at each other- one challengingly and the other in confusion. Zerith was the first one who calmed himself.
"Can we talk?" He asked, searching her face.
Bertha nodded her head before following him to a place where they could have some privacy. Zerith stopped at the storehouse, where not many people came. And thus, they were away from the prying eyes and ears looking for steaming gossip.
Bertha had by now realized that this talk was not going to be a light-hearted one. Zerith's face gave away how serious he was with this thing. Bertha prepared herself to face his interrogation without giving away Theodora's secret that now had turned hers too.
Zerith's eyes were looking around for a while before they settled on Bertha's face. "Are you alright, Bertha?"
"Of course, I am!" She answered casually.
"You don't have any problem, do you? I mean… nobody has said anything to you or is troubling you, right?"
