LOST OF APPETITE

Gerald took Theodora to the alleys of the town and the lanes of markets that she had never visited before. She was watching every single thing with such awe like a child was exposed to the universe for the first time.

She had piles of questions and queries to ask, and Gerald was patient with giving their answers. He enjoyed explaining to her why there were trenches alongside the road, why people lived in a particular part of the town more than the outskirts and why there were different customs that people should follow based on their social status.

Some things amazed her, while some disappointed her. She voiced out her opinions on every one of them and surprisingly, none of those opinions matched her image. She was more unbiased, fierce and bold with her opinions. Gerald wondered if she had learned those things from her father but he doubted that given the fact that the social setting of the whole island was created by her father only
