I WON'T LET YOU GO ALONE!

Gerald and Theodora went to her room on the upper floor. Sitting on the bed facing each other, Gerald first asked about Zerith's health.

The man was now feeling better. He felt dizzy sometimes, but the physician said there was nothing serious.

The only thing that concerned him was his broken ribs. He said it would take some time to heal, and until then, Zerith was not allowed any sudden movements, horse riding, or any such physical exercise.

The physician also recommended complete bed rest for a couple of weeks before he was allowed to take short walks.

Gerald was relieved in a weird way after hearing that.

"So now you and Bertha don't need to stay with him right?" He asked carefully.

Theodora sighed. "No, Gerald. I think it is best if we stay there until Zerith begins to walk. I know there are maids but... Zerith is a family and it doesn't feel right to leave him in that state."
