"can you shut up? You guys didn't even do anything. Just because spirit beasts didn't attack you, you can be so loud in here" one of the mercenary team member said discourteously in discontent. He can't take it anymore after one of the spirit beasts clawed his right arm.
"Huh, who do you think you are? This is black forest so my miss can do whatever she wants" one of the members of the lin family said smugly even louder.
"right you guys are shamelessly following us from the start, you must be dreaming if we would let you all joined our group just because you act shameless" another young lady scoffed rudely in arrogance, her nose pointed to the sky.
"what?? Why would we follow you? Besides do you think your family owned the entire black forest?" Zhuang lan blurted angrily. Although he's a muscle head he's a righteous young man from a righteous family after all.
"you!!!" that lady blurted angrily unable to come up with a rebuttal.
The mercenary members also reacted rather angrily. "who wants to follow you? Shameless woman!"
"then why are you guys keeps following us?" lin huangxi asked full of disregard. "if you want to follow us so badly, just say so, but leave that girl behind. She can't follow us. Also she must hand over her spirit pet to me. If you do so, we would give you packets of dispelling powder" she demanded as if it's yu yue's great honor to be treated as such.
It is clear that they really didn't put anyone in their eyes at all.
She purposely makes a loud noise, attracting more spirit beasts to make them quickly leave yu yue behind. Her maid hatches this plan earlier and she conspired with the elder to execute this plan just to make this people leave yu yue behind and they would beg her to take them. She smiled sinisterly at yu yue.
Yu yue's group and the mercenary team glared at her angrily. But they didn't bother with her shamelessness anymore because there's no point besides their hands are full of spirit beasts.
Their hearts filled with disgust, especially little fatty and gang. They always treated yu yue like their little sister and this evil woman plots on her.
Tian wuxian and si xiao xiao glance at each other in understanding, their hearts alarmed.
The mercenary team captain also caught into it and he stops his members from provoking the lin family further because they would retaliate and would purposely even make loud noises.
So they silently gnashed their teeth in endurance as they fought with the beasts.
Yu yue already notice that spirit beasts were avoiding the lin family and already have a guess in here mind. Now she's more certain of it. she didn't act earlier because it would be great to train with, but little fatty and the rest handles everything leaving her with nothing to do.
Lin family keeps attracting spirit beasts since they entered the forest but still unscathed, besides it seems they're purposely doing it, speaking in loud voices to guise the effect of luring powder.
Yu yue's eyes flashed as she remembered smelling a distinct fishy smell earlier and the spirit beast keeps targeting them ever since.
'so this must be their doing' she sneered as she prepared her own concocted luring powder to sprinkle at them, it's potent and odorless powder that attracts stronger spirit beasts to counter attack since they use underhanded means to deter them from following their group, and they aren't even really following after them.
She won't take this lying down since they plotted against her first.
She's been researching on a certain type of plant on her way here and it makes spirit beasts went insane once they smelled it, but she just didn't have an opportunity to test it.
