We Would Have Never Lost Him Like This, if It Weren't For You, And Your Stubbornness!

"Suffered a shock?" Lu Yunsheng was surprised.

Sure enough, he didn't even know.

Yes, last time Lu Yunsheng did tell his grandfather over the phone that he would never get married. However, he could adopt an orphan and train him to be his successor. Was that the trigger?

Lu Yunsheng felt guilty, however, he didn't show that on his face. "Where is grandma? I didn't see her inside." He asked to change the subject.

"She went to sweep your brother's grave; father and I will go in the afternoon. We would have never lost him like this if it weren't for you, and your stubbornness! Nevertheless, look at you, standing high and mighty without an ounce of guilt. In the last three years, did you never feel like visiting your brother's grave?" Mu Jiaying didn't even realize what she said in a spur of anger until she finished it.

Lu Yunsheng's eyes sank, as he stared at his mother for about two seconds, before shifting his gaze on the ground without a word.

It had been exactly three years since his little brother passed away. It was on this day, three years ago, that his brother died from that fatal plane crash.

Being a major general, he had countless enemies from the underworld, and that long line of people wanted him dead. That day, he was supposed to go to Seoul for a family function, however, at the last minute the plan changed. As Lu Yunsheng was called back to headquarter for an emergency mission, his brother had to take his place.

One of his enemies made an attempt on his life, and faked it as a plane crash. It was a premeditated murder! However, Lu Yunsheng was left shocked when he later found out that the pilot responsible for the crash was a member of Blackened World.

The Blackened World, which Lu Yunsheng believed to have erased from the face of earth, had resurfaced again.

Two of his beloved people were gone because of them!

He, on the other hand, had been left to carry an unbearable burden all by himself.

Four months later…

"Alright, wait for me. We'll meet at the gates of the university." After a brief call to her bestie, Song Ah Lam, a tall and slender girl who appeared to be in her late teens hopped onto her bike. She was wearing baggy high-waisted rip-jeans with a dark green stretch tank top, which contrasted her snow white skin.

It reminded everyone of the shark contrast between a fresh Lili emerging from deep underneath translucent water and it's dark green leaf.

It might sound cliche, but she had the kind of beauty totally capable of overthrowing a whole city. Nevertheless, it was her cold and cynical aura, which prevented people from approaching her. Somehow, she gave others the vibe of full moon in moonlight, aloof yet loved and desired by all.

Apart from this, in a sea full of Chinese people, her Arabian look naturally made her stand out from all.

Casually knotting her long black hair in a low bun, the girl was seen putting on her helmet, before speeding off.

A brand new, eye-catching black Yamaha pulled up to the entrance of the University.

The arrival of a Gorgeous Black Yamaha wasn't lost on Song Ah Lam, as she waved at Tang Xi from a ways off.

"You've been waiting for a while, haven't you?" Tang Xi asked a little apologetically, as she parked her bike in a corner.

"Who said I was waiting for you? I was enjoying the lustful glances men were throwing at me." Song Ah Lam said, giving off a big smile.

Well, technically she wasn't lying though. She did enjoy the attention guys gave her while she was waiting for her friend.

Tang Xi shook her head slightly while returning the smile. "Girl, your cheekiness has skyrocketed after getting enrolled in that culinary institute. Is it because I'm not there with you anymore?"

"You just snatched the words out of my mouth! Although, I used to get love letters and gifts in highschool as well, but the numbers increased now is literally crazy. I was wondering what caused the difference, as I have always been very pretty, you know. Guys are literally scared of you!" Song Ah Lam teased Tang Xi.

Apart from casting a withering glance at Song Ah Lam, Tang Xi didn't say anything.

However, Song Ah Lam indeed justified the word pretty. With her 170 centimetres stature, rosy white complexion, and dark brown wavy hair, she would have topped the beauties of the entertainment industry, had she joined there.

"However, I miss you and Brother Liang. Wait, why don't I call him to join us? It will be unfair to him, if both of us hang out leaving him out, as we are a trio." Song Ah Lam said, as pushed her hand inside Tang Xi's grasp out of habit.

"I called him this morning, intending to invite him, but didn't in the end on purpose. He has a test this afternoon, don't disturb."

"What! We have just started the semester, why test so early?" In matters of seconds, Song Ah Lam's face was as white as that of a dead person.

Tang Xi patted her bestie's head, knowing her examination fever, then reassured, "Not ours. He is a medical student, remember?"

Tang Xi, Song Ah Lam, and Gu Liang had been a triumvirate of best friends ever since the first day of nursery school.

Tang Xi could still vividly remember that day even after so many years. At that time, she used to live in Tang Mansion with her step mother and her daughters. This mother and her pair of daughters were born to block her way at every turn. Tang Xi was never given to childish fits and outbursts. Instead, her entire childhood was spent under a microscope, her mistakes greatly amplified.

They used to jump on Tang Xi whenever they wanted, and beat her to pulp, and she didn't have any option but to put it past them.
