Ah, Life Is Totally Meaningless Without A Glass Of Wine!

After hearing this, the expression on Tang Chen's face eased up a little. After all, something was better than nothing. His dad finally agreed to side with him; even if it was little to nothing, he was happy thinking about the little improvement in their relationship.

"Are you not leaving yet?" Tang Min shot his son with a look of impatience.

"I will go now, but Dad, I'll be back on Saturday again. Promise," Tang Chen said, and slowly turned around to leave.

Tang Min didn't reply this time.

In a big and bright room, Lu Heitin was treating himself with red wine. After getting released from the hospital, he was moved to the ground floor, beside the swimming pool.

The room had glass walls on both west and right sides. It not only opened to a beautiful view but simultaneously allowed the ample natural light to come in, lifting the mood that would help in steady recovery.

The light of the evening sun danced and glittered like gold as it was reflected off the water surface.

"Ah, life is totally meaningless without a glass of wine!" Lu Heitin said, as he took a whiff of wine with closed eyes, and a satisfied expression.

"Su Mei, I warmed the milk in the kitchen. Pour it into a glass, and bring it to father's room immediately."

The faint voice of Mu Jiaying instructing a servant shifted into Lu Heitin's ears, prompting him to hide the wine bottle with the glass under the bed instantly.

"Jiaying, can't you come after an hour!" The Oldman grumbled under his breath with dissatisfaction.

The moment Mu Jiaying entered the room, her eyes fell on the untouched herbal and chicken soups on the table. "Father, why didn't you drink the soup? Didn't you send me off forcefully, saying that you can take care of yourself without anyone's help? Is this the way you take care of yourself?" Mu Jiaying ridiculed, ignoring the unsightly look on her father-in-law's face.

Seeing the medicine box in Mu Jiaying's hand, Lu Heitin's face grimaced. Without answering Mu Jiaying's question, he said, "Jiaying, take away the medicines, I have already recuperated."

"No, father. You are still very weak, and you have to finish the full course of medication." Mu Jiaying replied with a firm tone of voice.

"Sheng is getting married, and I will have my great grandchild very soon. This news alone is enough to survive me for another twenty years; without any medicine." Lu Heitin reasoned for not taking the medicines.

These tablets and capsules were multivitamins and calcium anyway; forged into the medicines bottles taken for cardiac arrest.

Mu Jiaying smiled, and said, "You have to be strong to carry his children, don't you? Nonetheless, Tang Xi is just eighteen; don't scare her by mentioning anything for having kids immediately. You are getting my point, right?" Mu Jiaying was afraid her father-in-law might get mad so she quickly added, "Tang Xi needs some time to adjust herself with us first. Besides, we don't want her to really grow into a wrinkled mummy under pressure until Sheng falls in love with her, do we?"

"I can't give you my word. My granddaughter-in-law is not only beautiful, rather her looks are exactly approaching those of a goddess! Birthing a child won't be able to diminish her beauty." Lu Heitin said proudly.

Just then Su Mei came, bowed down politely, and put down the glass of milk on the table, then left.

Mu Jiaying, though, saw the logic in Lu Heitin's words, thus didn't dare to argue further. "Swallow the medicine," Mu Jiaying said, handing her father-in-law the glass of milk.

Lu Heitin gave Mu Jiaying one last look. However, she was dead set on making him take the medicines. Now, all he could do was only to consume the tablets helplessly.

"Grandpa! Oh my my, what did I hear, you suffered from cardiac arrest? Why didn't I die before hearing this!" Suddenly, a young man yelled dramatically, from a few meters away, before storming towards the room.

"Isn't it Jeong Namjoon's voice?" Mu Jiaying asked cheerfully.

"That exaggerated drama king! Jiaying, mark my words, he will start making a big show of being sad and sorrowful the moment he sets his foot inside." Lu Heitin couldn't help but comment out his thoughts, as if he had foreseen the future.

"Grandpa...oh my grandpa!" Jeong Namjoon threw himself at the Oldman, hugged him tightly, before giving two air kisses on his both cheeks. "How did this happen to you? Why with you! What if something really happened to you, how would I live for the rest of my life without you!" He turned lugubrious, and started shedding some crocodile tears.

"Don't hug me so tightly, you brat! Not sure about my heart attack, but you will suffocate me to death one day for sure!" Lu Heitin said, while trying to push Jeong Namjoon away.

Jeong Namjoon jutted his lips outwards before hanging his head low with a dropped head. At that moment he looked like a bullied kid as he distanced himself significantly from Lu Heitin.

"Pfft..." On the side, Mu Jiaying covered her mouth with a hand, striving to choke back laugh, end up receiving an incriminating glare from Jeong Namjoon.

He was a very good looking man. His hair was half combed back on one side, the other was neatly shaved into a fade, and his features were sharp on the eyes.

Jeong Namjoon got up, and hugged Mu Jiaying. "Aunt Jiaying, you shouldn't be laughing at me. Grandpa always bullies me!"

"Hehe!" Jeong Namjoon's exaggerated cuteness eventually made Mu Jiaying start laughing out loud. "Namjoon, how are you, dear?" Mu Jiaying asked with a big smile, as she hugged him back. "When Jingping and brother Min Hoon came to visit father, they told me that you were in Paris, shooting for a new movie."

Lu Heitin had one son, Lu Donghai and one daughter, Lu Jingping. At the last year of her university, Lu Jingping was married off to a aristocrate Korean family, with their eldest son, Jeong Min Hoon. The couple later gave birth to a son, who was Jeong Namjoon.
