Chapter 23

The next day they woke up late and had their breakfast,Logan didn't bother preparing for work as he had more important things to 'Which is to visit his mother in law' it was more important than his business,but that didn't stop from telling his secretary to bring the files at home for him to attend to when he is free.

By the time he was done with his files,it was already noon,so they prepared and left for Helen's home,they got in no time and saw her making food,she welcomed them happily though she was cautious of Logan as he was her Boss,Mark noticed his mom's unusualness and nudged Logan who understood what was happening,before they sat down Logan cleared his throat and called Helen's attention

"ehhmm... Ma! You don't need to be formal or cautious towards me anymore,besides you'll soon become my mother in law" Logan said smiling making Helen to laugh slightly

"I am not used to it yet,but don't worry i will soon get used to it" Helena said and Mark hugged her from behind

"Mom.....don't worry okay? you can call him whatever you want,he won't mind at all" Logan raised an eyebrow at him and Mark grinned .

"I prepared food,come let's go and eat,you two must be hungry right?" Helen said as she held both lovers hands and dragged them to the dining,the family of three sat down to eat quietly,no one was eager to start a conversation, no one knew what to say and how it should be said, it helped them though as they finished eating fast and were able to escape from the awkwardness.

They went to sitting room after their meal to discuss things,Helen wanted to see Logan privately!

"Logan..I've known you as my boss and have worked with you for a few years,but i don't know much things about you,you see...Mark is the only reason I live,i love my son so much that i am ready to do whatever it takes to make him happy most especially in this matter,i know people will gossip,they will talk and i might as well loose everything i ever worked for but i will not care as long as my Son is happy....i don't know why you took interest in my son,but i hope you don't hurt him,because if you do,i will make you pay even if means me dying in the process" Logan listened as Helen poured out her heart content to him and he sighed deeply and held her hand in he's

"Mom! be rest assured that i will not hurt Mark not when i love him so much,i won't allow anything happen to him and i don't care if people should talk as well,so please stop worrying okay?? i will take care of Mark and love him even more than you do"

Helen looked into Logan's eyes and she could see the enthusiasm and love in them, she nodded her head and they went back to join Mark in the sitting room. Not long after they had their discussion,Logan got a call from his secretary and the news he received made him jump up from the couch he was sitting scaring Mark and his mom who started looking at him with mixed feelings and confusion .
