While Arnold went out to check gather up young master Reggie as he called him a huge cart covered with pieces of all kinds of fresh fruit was wheeled in. There were even some fruits that Izak was not able to identify. This was a crazy amount of fruit. He was not sure most grocery stores carried this much fruit.
"Izak, I apologize that it is so much fruit but my husband had a bad cholesterol check not long ago and we cut back on meat and eggs. Normally we would have made arrangements to have something brought in but this was all rather sudden."
"Actually the fruit looks amazing and given that serum it is best to keep meals small. And some of these things I have never seen or tried before. So, thank you for this."
About that time Arnold came in but this time it was more than just Reggie with him. It appeared that most of the rest of the family had woken up and Tim was with them as well. They were all talking when they saw a stranger at the table. One of the older men stepped forward with a questioning look on his face. "Dad who is our guest?"
"This is the man that reported your son's situation to the police. I invited him to breakfast."
Before he even finished what he was saying Tim crossed the room and pulled Izak out of his chair and into a hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you. You ever need anything just say the word."
"I am glad that I could be of help. I did the right thing for the right reason and that is all there is to it." The right reason being the millions he had stashed in his car.
The rest of the family came over and shook hands with him. And when one of the cousins spoke her voice sounded so familiar that it triggered something. He was pretty sure that this person was playing Reboot as well. But he would figure it out soon.
"Reggie come sit by grandma for a second."
The young man about thirteen or fourteen immediately ran to her side. "Good morning Grandma. I am sorry about not coming to see you yesterday. I was trying to get as much done before the update as I could."
"Actually that is one of the reasons that we sent Arnold to find you. Mr. Smith has brought a few things to our attention." The young man immediately glared at him. "Reggie be polite." Her tone made him aware that she was not playing around with him.
"Sorry Grandma. Sorry, Mr. Smith."
"That is better. What we talked about was the possibility of getting you a bodyguard in the game. Then he informed us about guilds and the like. We wanted you to talk with Mr. Smith about a few things to make sure that you pick the right guild and do things the right way so that you get to enjoy the game."
"I have not been able to play a lot of the other games so I am not sure. There are a lot of top guilds that would be okay but the problem with them is that they have crazy requirements and they all want a certain amount of coin to get in."
The girl from before spoke up. "I could talk to the guy that is starting the guild that I would like to join. He is pretty amazing and I am sure that once he figures out that Reggie is fourteen and my little nephew he would be sure to let him join." Without a doubt Izak recognized the girl's voice now.
Her father looked at her. "What makes you think he is such a good guy?"
"Dad, he not only got me the first clear on a hell mode dungeon but evenly split the gear, to include blue class gear, and is going to bust up the rest of the stuff we can't use and give us a slice of the coin he makes. He is even offering to pay me a monthly salary to be in the guild as a core member."
"Are you sure he does not know who you are? He could be after my money."
"Dad, seriously what kind of person would be so idiotic to offer a princess of the Callahan family a monthly salary? He has no idea who I am?"
Izak could not take it anymore. "Well he didn't know until just a few minutes ago. Hello Frigid."
Color instantly flooded her face and neck. "Vindictus?"
Reggie jumped to his feet. "The guy who is starting your guild is Vindictus? Wait you are Vindictus?"
"Yes I am the player Vindictus." He held up his hand. "Please, give me a second to sort things in my head." He sat there for a few and blew out a long breath. "Okay, so it appears that Frigid. Wait, what is your real name? We have never talked about it in game."
"I am Abby."
"Well Abby and I know each other in the game. And before you ask the reason that neither of us recognized each other is that you can alter your appearance to an extent. And I would be happy to have Reggie in my guild and make sure that he is taken care of, without disrupting his game play. As long as he does not reveal who he is in real life and try to throw his weight around. It would be safer for him to never let anyone know who he is. Thus the reason that I had no idea that Frigid and Abby were the same person. I did not ask because it is considered bad manners."
"So you really expect me to believe that this is all a coincidence." Abby's father was getting a little upset as he thought Izak was targeting his little girl.
"Sir, if I could have planned it out this good I would be controlling most of the world by now. There are half a dozen others in our group and I do not know any of their names and outside of Frigid none of them know anything about me."
"He is right dad and you are being rude. Vindictus, I mean Izak has been nothing but a great teacher and leader for me these last few days. I was planning on telling him a little about myself when we did the contract so that he could save money for the guild and not give me a salary but I would still be under an NDA."
"Thank you Abby for being willing trust me with something like that."
The head of the family spoke up. "We will come back to that in a second. Abby what do you know about the corporate aspect of the game?"
"Many companies have started paying professional players just like actors and sports people. They advertise things for the company and even do some commercials. Then when the guild does like a first clear or something it gets posted on the company's website as well as the guild's website. They will put a lot of effort into the website and a lot of players will do research on them when they get a first clear."
Her dad looked at her, "how do you know all of this?"
"I got a degree in business management with a minor in advertising. I had three separate classes on this topic. I told you a month ago that we should get involved in the early phases of the game and find a hidden gem that is not under contract to another company and you and uncle told me it was a waste of time and money. I was planning on using the money that I made from selling coins that Izak told me about to prove you wrong and get you to take me seriously."
Both men started looking down as they remembered the in depth presentation that he gave them on the issue and they did blow her off. Her grandfather gave both men a severe look and then turned to his granddaughter. "We sent them to college to learn and expand the company not to be stepped on because that is the way we have always done things. We will address this later. So Abby, what do you thing Callahan Automotive should do?"
