Tyrant Guild Came to Snatch the Blue-eyed Spider

Su Jin stood far away from the Blue-eyed Spider, watching from afar. He began to ponder about how he should attack it.

He could kill the Wild Boar King alone the last time because he had good skills. Moreover, the Wild Boar King's skills were not of high level, and it was not difficult to defeat. Its HP was also low. One would not find it difficult to kill it if they were skilled enough. Even unskillful players could kill it if they dragged the fight and drained its HP.

The Blue-eyed Spider was different. It was tough to defeat, had a low error tolerance rate, and had powerful skills. There was practically no shortage of weaknesses.

Su Jin didn't want to take the risk before he had the confidence to defeat it.

While he was deep in thought, the three Tyrant Guild players saw the Blue-eyed Spider too. Its enormous size proved the toughness to defeat it.

Most importantly, the solo player, who had always killed monsters whenever he met them, hesitated to attack the spider. That proved the three of them were right about the difficulty of the Blue-eyed Spider.

"That isn't an ordinary monster. I should be either a boss or a special type of NPC."

"It does look like a Boss. Won't our Tyrant Guild be rich if we killed it?"

"We will be the ones who found this treasure. I'm sure our president will reward us for that."

"The first Boss since this game upgraded."

The three members of the Tyrant Guild typed and discussed excitedly. Su Jin would have heard the crackling sound of the keyboard if the players hadn't been using virtual keyboards.

After a short discussion, the three of them sent a message to their guild president, Tyrant Knight.

Battling the first Boss of the server wasn't something the three of them could do even if they slayed Su Jin.

No one knew about the Wild Boar King that Su Jin had killed previously, which led to the misunderstanding that the Blue-eyed Spider was the first Boss.

After sending the message, the three players hid and waited for a reply from their president.

While they waited, Tyrant Knight led thirty players and headed to the location his three members sent him. He wanted to teach Su Jin a lesson to make sure Su Jin wouldn't be a threat to their guild in the future.

Hearing another notification alert, Tyrant Knight tapped open his message and froze.

"President, what's wrong?"

The members of the Tyrant Guild stopped and asked curiously.

Tyrant Knight did not answer him. He stood there and pondered for a while before looking at the vice president and said, "We have a different priority now. Gather more players to follow us. Then arrange the low-level players to shield our whereabouts."

"Gather the players with high combat skills, but don't tell them why we are gathering them. Just tell them I have some important mission I want them to carry out. Brush them off with that for the time being."

"Remember, tell everyone in the Tyrant Guild. Also, contact the Assassin Guild members while you're at it. Let them know that we are gathering elite players and say nothing more."

The vice president was confused. He had no idea why Tyrant Knight wanted him to gather so many players.

"President, please, at least let me know a little information about what is going on. Otherwise, it will be difficult for me to gather so many players at once."

"Our three members that tracked the solo player found a Boss NPC. That is the first Boss. Although the level of the Boss is known, we still could make a fortune out of slaying it, couldn't we?"

"I am not sure the truth of this information. That's why I am asking you to make the arrangement discreetly."

"It's to prevent the spies in our guild from leaking the information. The other guilds might come to snatch the Boss."

"We can cooperate with the Assassin Guild if we can't defeat the Boss. All we have to do is owe them a favor. However, we will not need them if we can defeat the Boss."

Tyrant Knight whispered and explained the situation to his vice president.

A smile bloomed on the vice president's face. He looked around to make sure no one was eavesdropping. Then, he smiled, "Alright, I know what to do now. You can rest assured."

After saying that, he took a step back and followed behind Tyrant Knight as he messaged their members personally.

As a guild supported by a financial group, the 500 members of the Tyrant Guild had guaranteed salaries in real life. They were also given commissions for the quest they joined. So, the players would usually be online every day. Some even stayed online for 24 hours because rumors said the game would reward the player with special abilities.

As the vice president sent the messages, the members of the Tyrant Guild began to make their moves.

The members, fighting monsters and leveling up, left their battlefield quickly. They recovered their HP and magic power with the potions they had.

The players, who were supposed to be leveling up by fighting the monsters, stood outside the monsters' attack range. They pretended as though they were about to fight the monsters. The players from other guilds would not suspect a thing from that. They would at most take a glance when they passed by because it wasn't time for a fight yet.

In the novice village, the players of Tyrant Guild were low-profiled and left their respective leveling area gradually, heading to the jungle. There were still a few members in the leveling area covering up for them.

No one realized that the players from Tyrant Guild weren't at the leveling point even after they had disappeared for half an hour.

The news was kept strictly confidential. None of the spies from other guilds knew what had happened.

Outside the Blackwater Cave, Tyrant Knight led his thirty men and surrounded the cave. He did not rush in with his men. Instead, he contacted the three players who were following Su Jin.

The three players sent him a message before he could contact them, "President, he noticed us a minute ago. That solo player slayed the three of us. You must stop him and avenge us."

"That solo player should be near the cave. He hasn't gone far."

Tyrant wasn't happy to hear that. He looked at the vice president as he ordered, "there is no need to keep this quest discreet anymore. Negotiate with the Assassin Guild and get other guilds to join this quest. We'll defeat the Boss together. After all, the Tyrant Guild will still be the first one to find it."

"Since the solo player has slain our players, I'm sure he will release the news of the Boss."

The change had happened too quickly, and Tyrant Knight was somewhat unable to deal with it. However, he had quickly made an adjustment to the situation because the sudden change was part of what he had expected.

"Alright," The vice president nodded.

The vice president quickly mobilized the players. He did not hide any information and contacted the Assassin Guild to negotiate the strategy. They had to arrange their formation before the other guild arrived.

Tyrant Knight looked around and shouted, "Boys, since we are here now. I'll tell you the purpose of our mission. I got the news that there is a Boss in the cave. It is the first Boss in the Novice Village."

"I won't say much because I believe you guys know the importance of this quest. Well, here is something I want to announce. Everyone who joins in this battle will get a reward of 3000 dollars bonus if we defeat the Boss."

"I've already contacted other guilds to come over to help us. Let's try and take down the Boss ourselves first."

"There's a solo player around. Slay him if you happen to encounter him, okay?"

The president had announced that personally, and there was a reward waiting for them after the quest. The Tyrant Guild members shouted, "Okay!"

"Alright, you will not only get the reward. I'll take you guys to the club, and you can have fun there after we finish the quest."

Tyrant Knight pointed at the cave and beaconed the players, "Everyone, let's go in!"

The 30 players he brought with him spread out and went in from different directions, ensuring that they could see each other.

At the periphery of the cave, Su Jin lay quietly on the ground at the foot of a slightly arched hill. He was not anxious at all when he saw the Tyrant Guild players.

The Tyrant Guild might be here to snatch the Boss, but from Su Jin's perspective, their presence was what he wanted most. It would help him defeat the Boss easier.

"I was just worried that I wouldn't be able to deal with that Boss by myself. It will be great to have the guilds help me drain some of the Blue-eyed Spider's HP. My quest is complete as long as the last blow on the spider is from me."

"But, they would be committing suicide by bringing only 30 people to defeat the Blue-eyed Spider."

Su Jin laid quietly, watching the region chat room as he waited.
